Absolutely perfect!

What an absolute gem! Such a beautiful and unique place to stay. Every detail thought of and provided, a beautiful location and so comfortable!

Whole experience, Picked location to chill. Lovely village, pub and a shop. Owners super friendly. Bed super comfy and large. Quirky bathroom added to experience.

Not a gripe as such but bed was so big its a bit of a struggle to get out of.

3 night cosy stay

We loved the unique character of the train carriage with a large comfortable bed, well equipped kitchen and lovely log burner. The hosts Adele and Ian were lovely and very welcoming the homemade Victoria Sponge was excellent.

The lighting could be improved there was one mains light and the rest were solar powered and were a bit dim. There could’ve been more lights that worked outside to help get to the bathroom in the dark. The fridge is on its last legs and could do with being replaced as the seal was not working and leaked water.

Pleasant and comfortable

Very comfortable well equipped carriage. Bed was amazing and had everything you need for a comfortable stay. Log fire took some mastering but that is just me a useless pyromaniac. Loved the morning visit by the local chickens. Save some bread for them. Shower/toilet facilities excellent.

Lovely break away

The cabin was even nicer than I expected it to be. It was very comfortable and clean. I was lucky to have good weather when I stayed so I was able to have all the doors open. The separate bathroom was lovely and the shower was hot and powerful. It had everything you could want for a short break away. The hosts were very friendly and helpful. I highly recommend off the rails.

I would have liked a lock on the inside of the bathroom door.

Peace & tranquility

In a paddock surrounded by fields - Far from the maddening crowd.

Everything, had all the bits and pieces needed to fend for yourself. Spotlessly clean and nicely decorated…a superb conversion.

What a find.

The carriage was fully equipped with everything you could possibly need. It is located in it's own field well away from other buildings. The bathroom is excellent and right next to the carriage.

Unique experience, suit those seeking a gypsy life. Not for those seeking a 5-star hotel.

Self-catering, railway carriage was on a plot away from other habitation so complete privacy. Hens came to the plot each morning giving it a rustic environment. The old carriage was quaint but comfortable. If the weather had been better,one could have eaten outdoors.

Lovely peaceful stay in a unique countryside property

Lovely quirky accommodation on its own in a great setting, a field with plenty of space surrounding the carriage, so no disturbance from neighbours. Host was was very welcoming and left us with some delicious homemade cake, nice touch. Would definitely stay again if in the area.

Great stay

Amazing secluded location, really fun and unique idea, nice horse.

The bed was extremely uncomfortable! Springs sticking in your back everywhere and both my partner and I had backache each day we stayed there. The postcode on booking.com takes you to the wrong village. Best bet to is put ‘Knockin’ on maps and ring the hosts when you get there - if you’re lucky enough to have signal!

Simply Amazing

We stayed here August BH and our stay was wonderful. A lovely quiet place to get away from it all and have some rest! The place is so quaint! Absolutely beautiful, and to top it all off we had morning visits from the chickens and horse. 10/10 would recommend.
