What's nearby: Located in a quiet neighborhood just north of Nye Beach, this house is within walking distance of the sandy beach, though it is a bit of a steep trek (for level access, head down to the Nye Beach Turnaround). It is also a short drive from a variety of restaurants, cafés, shops, the boardwalk, the Oregon Coast Aquarium, and a wide variety of scenic hikes nearby. There is a metal shoe tray right by the front door for your convenience. Things to know: Full kitchen (with dishwasher) Free WiFi Parking notes: There is free parking available for 3 vehicles. We had our family Thanksgiving there. The veiw was beautiful, the home is spacious and yet cozy. The beds were very comfortable. Plenty of towels and blankets for a large group. Kitchen was well stocked. We encountered a couple maintenance issues but just from standard wear and tear of any home on the coast and they were quick to repair when informed.
Loved our stay!! Plan to return!!

It was nice to have a home away from home. With lots of room to move around. The house was cleaned. The down stairs living room needs rearranging because you can’t watch TV. It was cold this week in Newport and the heating is weird in the house and some heaters weren’t working at all. We had issues with up stairs lighting stop working also. Not sure if this is an electrical issue with drawing to many AMPS and popping fuses. I got concerned as the days went on. I did report it and maintenance came out to fix it. One heater started working but not all heaters were addressed.

Loved the little the trail down to the beach. That house had one shower upstairs. The kids room was packed full of fun stuff.

Very roomy and light. A short walk to beach access as long as one doesn’t have trouble with a steep walk. Lovely view from the second level.

This place is beautiful and really much more than the pics capture. The futon is in a well stocked toy room, essentially functioning as a 4th bedroom. There are also many games and puzzles for grownups. The kitchen is equipped with everything you could imagine. And the upstairs living room is absolutely beautiful. Easy walking distance to beach. We highly recommend this!

Terrible service when there was an emergency. Hard to contact anyone. And no REFUND. I want a refund. So many thing where broke especially the shower. And I was told " we know things like this happen " sorry that it happened to you. So give me a refund

We enjoyed this home and the beautiful views of the beach. Plenty of room for our family to spread out and work puzzles, play games, or enjoy some quiet time.

We come to the beach every year to honor my husbands parents who passed away a few years ago since we did their memorials there. We haven’t been able to take a trip for the past two years because my husband works so much. We decided on this house because of the reviews (which I’m confused about because they are rated so highly) and the pictures (which aren’t really accurate) and the location. The only positives were the location with close access to the beach and the playroom for the kids with games and toys. The negatives were that the downstairs toilet and sink are almost falling off the wall, the master bedroom heater didn’t work, it was very sparsely furnished and decorated (which isn’t the biggest deal but it’s always nice to have a peaceful, beautifully decorated place to stay when you’re spending $325 a night), the beds weren’t very comfortable, the carpet and furniture were stained and most amenities barely met minimum. Even things like burnt out lightbulbs weren’t replaced. The biggest complaint I have is that the price needs to reflect the actual quality of the place. We work hard for our money and it would have been nice on a special weekend like this to get what we paid for.

The downstairs bathroom toilet is wobbly and needs to be tightened down. The picture frame on that bathroom wall came apart and fell. The front porch step is dangerous from driveway. One person in our party tripped on the rotted section in the dark.

House was clean and convenient to stores and downtown. Great view and easy access to beach. I would suggest to have a grill at house. Nothing would be better than to grill, drink beer and watch the ocean. Thanks for the great stay.

Acceptable but weird
The house is a puzzle. It has a downstairs with a wood burning fireplace in the middle, galley kitchen, two bedrooms and an extra off the laundry room with a futon. The furniture in the downstairs is sparse and laid out facing the fireplace not the TV in the corner. Upstairs is the master bedroom with two large living room spaces, one fairly comfortable around a gas fireplace and TV, but no ocean view, and a second living room without much furniture with an ocean view. A very strange use of space and furnishings.
I guess the house must have been a duplex and the empty living room upstairs used be a kitchen and dining room. Later, stairs were added to connect the two floors. I don't know why it would be laid out the way it is otherwise.
We found the beds and pillows to be uncomfortable. The bathrooms have the cheapest fixtures. The coffee maker would not work for us. We could find no house book to let us know what to do to check out.
This is clearly an investment property where only the minimum effort to make it comfortable has been expended. We spent most of our time with friends in another house during our stay. If we spent more time in this house we probably would have been more displeased.

Loved the location! We could walk to the beach and see the sunset from the upper porch. The layout is a bit awkward. While the house sleeps at least 6, the dining table has only 4 seats. The living space and lovely views are upstairs but the (small) kitchen is downstairs. Probably just me, but I could not tell this from the photos,

We have a large family of 8. This property was a dream find….full of everything we could ask for. Plenty of room, toys for the children, amenities and items throughout the house for comfort and convenience….a perfect beach getaway for our family. The beach is a 5 minute walk at most, safe enough for our older kids and teens to walk there alone, and easy enough for our toddlers to walk themselves to the ocean water. Grocery delivery and food deliveries would not come to the house…so drive the easy 5-10 minutes to the grocery store or restaurants to get any of your needed supplies before arrival. We will be coming again. Thank you for sharing such a wonderful home with us!

Our stay was amazing. The house was clean which for me is top priority! It was well stocked with everything you need for cooking. Very comfortable upstairs the furniture in the upstairs living area was super comfortable. Beds were comfortable. Fairly easy beach access (small hike) but worth it for such a private beach! Would definitely rent this property again!

Family Oasis
We have a large family of 8. This property was a dream find….full of everything we could ask for. Plenty of room, toys for the children, amenities and items throughout the house for comfort and convenience….a perfect beach getaway for our family. The beach is a 5 minute walk at most, safe enough for our older kids and teens to walk there alone, and easy enough for our toddlers to walk themselves to the ocean water. Beautiful view. it was as pictured on the vrbo site. i didn't have internet on my phone the day we were ro check in so I didn't get any of the check in information. Internet reception was only fair. the downstairs shower had no water pressure and took nearly 30 minutes just to get the tub full for a bath. it was very clean except for exhaust fans, fireplace fan, windows, blinds, and window sills.
