Nature Away From Home

The location is on point. You have everything you need near Chobe Marina Lodge. The staff is super friendly and are always willing to help. The services all in all are immaculate, room service, shuttle service, breakfast. The rooms are very spacious and well air conditioned.

Not the quality a 4* hotel should have !

The view and only the view was good.

Check-in time was indicated: "from 11:00 to 15:00" on booking.com. We arrived at 11:15 AM and waited in the looby for 3 hours. We asked several times but no-one helped us to speed-up the process. The staff explained to me that "from 11:00 to 15:00" means at any time they have a room ready, so it is normal for the staff that the check-in is not before 14:00. In this case, please correct the check-in time on booking.com and put "14:00" please. This is a waste if time for everyone. The looby is extremely noisy and waiting there for 3 hours put us in a very bad mood for the day. The food is not good, very industrial, not the quality of a 4* hotel. Broken shower hose. Activites proposed are much more expensive than similar activites proposed by external agencies. Free condom was proposed in the room but the box was already opened by the previous guests (see photos).. Do you re-use condom paper box in your hotel ?!? Sorry but it is not hygienic !

Perfect!

Everything. It was superb. Cannot fault it. It far exceeded expectations. The river location is so beautiful at all times of the day (so much better than it looks in the pictures) and makes it really easy to do activities straight from the lodge (river safari and game drives) Accomodation for the price was beautiful, all facilities you need and a wonderful hot and powerful shower! Food was so good and excellent quality and staff were all super friendly and helpful.

The river view was amazing, very kind staff who go the extra mile for customers. Definitely coming back

The view from our porch when the sun went down was spectacular. The food wasn't just good but very good, and the whole dining atmosphere was very relaxing.

My stay at Chobe Marina was good. The room was clean, and the facilities were also excellent.

The location is strategic as it faces the Chobe river and it gives a good view of the other side (Namibia). The breakfast was good, wider and healthier choice. I also liked the dinner as there was a lot of food to choose from.

Front office service neeeds some improvement as it took time for me to get my printout as I was checking out.

Worth the price, fresh, good food, lovely view especially from the Suites.

The breakfast, lunch and dinner were excellent and offered a good variety. The food - veges, fruits etc - were all fresh. The coffee was a little bit bitter but better than most places. The view of the river was also superb.

The King Suite room I had could be refurbished to make it a bit more modern without losing the local feel to it. The bathrooms looked a bit aged and the bed was a little too stiff. There were no carpets especially in the bedroom - they tend to bring more comfort and create a lush experience.

Exceptional

Dinner menu was fantastic and the breakfast was delicious as well. The staff at the Lodge were superb, and special thank you to the front desk staff: Poloko, Oratile and Wonder. They were so welcoming and made this stay that much more pleasant!

Great location, comfortable room though not much room around the bed, good food. Very good spa service

1) Restaurant menu choices limited 2) Booking.com site shows game drives without additional charge, but all such activities are extra 3) Lodge was contacted before arrival to book Vic Falls day trip but this had not been done 4) Vic Falls day trip was booked as guided, but driver had been told it was unguided. He was helpful and recovered the situation but no thanks to the contractor

Exceptional services with the best staff ever.

The food, location, game drive, boat cruise, everything was exceptional. It was a memorable trip for both of us. Thank you again Chobe Marina Lodge, you did good.

Our planned birthday dinner didn't go according to plan, but they tried. Other than that, everything was exceptional.

Very good

The service from Poloko who went an extra mile to make us comfortable. We complained about the room we were in and she relocated us. She was friendly and wore a smile as she helped us. Her service was exceptional. The 24th of May was my birthday and though the chef was told late about this he prepared a cake for me and they came to sing for me. It made my day. I was not with family but that made me feel home. Thank you to the Chef, his staff and Poloko. You made my stay enjoyable.

IT WAS GRAND.

My room faced the mirror and every morning or evening when I had my tea I could see other tourists passing by in their cruise, hippos and crocodiles and occasional warthogs by my paths. I loved where they placed the mokoro restaurant. It gives you a full view of sedudu island. The sounds of birds chipping, cool breeze from the river and trees of different kinds to see in every scope makes the whole thing absolutely ethereal. And when I checked out, a gentleman was sent to help me carry my bag to the shuttle and to the airport. He made my entire arrival and departure absolute bliss.

That I only got 2 bottles of water during my entire stay. I really wish room service would offer more complimentary water bottles when they do the cleaning and not have to wait for the resident to ask for it.

They didnt provide clean water and coffee and tea in the room everyday. Breakfast wasnt worth paying for The pool was dirty the gamedrive was unpleasant
