About this villa rental
Located in Marathon, this lovely villa for £299 per night is a fantastic option for your next break. This listing is for a PALM COURT villa , at Cocoplum Beach and Tennis Club and Marina, which is one of the 6 villas (Units #5,#6,#7,#8,#9 or #10) behind the BEACH FRONT Villas and surrounding the jacuzzi area with a partial view of the Atlantic Ocean. (only a 1-2-minute walk to the beach and pool area). We do not specify exact villa number until day of arrival. Perfect for Family Reunions or Two Couples Traveling together - Deep water docks on protected canal (water & electric). Heated swimming pool overlooking swimming beach. Jacuzzi & tennis court onsite. Located at mile marker 54.5 in the middle of the Florida Keys. Year around great weather for fishing, diving or just enjoying the great tropical weather. We do not allow and motorized water toys on our beach, this includes all Boats and jet skis and anything with a motor. Most book for 7 nights and arrival and departure any day of the week. (Ask about shorter stays (3 to 6 nights) or arrival any day of the week when space available.) Relax in the shaded breeze in a beachfront tiki overlooking our oceanside pool. This 2-bedroom, 2-bath Vacation home is fully furnished: complete kitchen and dining room; a queen size master bed; a queen bed and a twin size bed in the guestroom; a family room with queen-size sofa-bed; (sleeps a maximum of 6 people), 3 flat screen cable TV’s; a wrap-around screened balcony; and your own washer and dryer in the laundry room. The ground floor is the utility room with a washer and dryer and storage area. A set of exterior stairs brings you up to enter the main entrance door to the villa on the first floor (dining room, kitchen and screened in balcony), there is an interior spiral staircase the brings you to the second floor (living room, 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and wet bar). We do not have any elevators on the property. Marathon is the Heart of the Florida Keys! Go deep-sea or back country fishing, sailing, diving and snorkeling, and then finish your day at one of the many restaurants nearby. Key West, with its colorful history, shopping galore, is 54 miles south. At least one person in the group must be 25 years old or older. Maximum occupancy is 6 people per villa including all children. No day visitors are allowed. We are a small property and only registered guest may enjoy the amenities. The resort property is located directly on the beach on the Atlantic Ocean. The front 4 units are considered “Beach Front” units (most expensive). The next 6 units are “Palm Court” villas (a little less expensive). The next 8 units are “Key Lime Grove” villas (best value) and the last 2 units “Tropical Island" villas (least expensive) are overlooking the tennis court and are a short walk to the beach and pool area. Get 2 or more vacation homes on the same property when traveling with extended family and friends or a corporate retreat. We loved the property, the pool closed a bit early because it gets dark at 5 pm in December. Be ready for stairs. Definitely an experience we will not soon forget.

Once again, happy to return to Cocoplum Beach & Tennis Club & Marina in Marathon, FL. The absolute best in the Florida Keys! We drove and trailered the boat. From the marina it's a mere 10 minutes to the Atlantic Ocean. The resort beach was spectacular and the resort pool, which is steps away, breathtaking. Rooms are spacious, fully equipped with all of the home amenities including W/D and deep freezer for the fishing aficionado's daily catch. Looking forward to our return in 2024!

Place was dirty and a bit run down. Needed fresh paint. Feet turned black as the floors were dirty. Something in the bathroom caused my daughter to sneeze the entire time and her eyes were red & weepy. Thankful i brought Benadryl. Pool & beach were great but - we were supposed to stay for a week and left after 3 days 😕

Overall the location was clean, well stocked with cleaning supplies for the stay. The spiral staircases are a bit of a challenge with luggage and kids, as well as, the carpeting on them needs replaced desperately as it is disgusting.
The unit has an outdated feel with all of the mirrors and the couches could use a good scrubbing as well. We still enjoyed our vacation, the pool was lovely, looking out at the beach was very nice. We enjoyed the screened in porch. Location relative to restaurants and groceries was good as well.

if it wasn't for the Beach and Pool, I would have given it 1 star. The Condo is so out dated the bedrooms are so small and the Bathrooms are terribly small.
the condo stinks terrible of cleaning solution on top of high humidity. they have so many rules, you think we are nothing but trouble makers. They are so scared of some one giving them Covid, they make you feel like you have the plague. Way to expensive for the housing. just made me sad. I am not a complainer, and I don't leave bad reviews but this just hurt me and made me not want to stay in Florida again

Our family of 5 enjoyed a week stay at this villa. We enjoyed the beach, pool and hot tub. The villa had a fully equipped kitchen. The location was ideal and we were able to visit other Keys as well.

The bathrooms and kitchen are small but still very functional. The kitchens were very well stocked with pots and pans. Our only issue with cleanliness was some of the dishes weren’t completely cleaned, but after a quick trip through the dish washer they were good. They supplied all the cleaning things needed to keep things in the kitchen clean. The laundry room area was great for washing clothes and it was a great place to store beach toys. Also provided a small deep freezer in laundry room where we were able to freeze the fish we caught before our trip home. The beach and pool were picture perfect🥰🌴

It is very important to understand how many steps are involved in getting from the beach to your room. One member of our party has a mild muscular disorder and the stairs from the parking/laundry to the main level are arduous then the tight spiral staircase to the bedroom/bathroom is another challenge. It was doable, but something that affected decisions everyday.
The beach/ocean was peaceful and beautiful. I think that the prevalence of the seaweed depends on the day/currents. One day it was really bad; the last day there was none.
I wish they had left the hammocks out, but they were nowhere to be found.

Whole very unique, the property is a bit dated. The master shower had very poor water pressure. The toilet pressure was also questionable at times. The comforter had lipstick stains and there was hair in the shower. There’s a weird cement block outside the hallway bathroom that we all managed to trip over. My daughter cut her toe on it.
On a positive note, the check in hostess was very helpful and knowledgeable! The property was very close to delicious restaurants.
Lastly, the beach was very disappointing. It looked nothing like the pictures. The seaweed was very bad and littered with garbage and beach fleas or something similar every day. The chairs were zip tied to the trees so you could not get proper sun. We did enjoy the plentiful iguanas and visit from a manatee very close to property.

They have a bull dozer to move the seaweed around; which is worse. Take some of the money and get a dump truck. Place would be worth it if you could go outside. I can’t understand why owners would not invest in quality mattresses and pillows. Furniture could use some updating, but we enjoyed our stay. Sorry to say, I dont think we would return for another stay because of the lack of good sleep due to the cheap bedding.
