Perfect for a family, or friends traveling together this house is your home away from home. It is expertly decorated to allow you and your family to relax and enjoy the sweeping views of the Atlantic Ocean. The private 60 foot dock will allow you to explore the ocean as you please. The area is great for fishing, snorkling, paddle boarding, and kayaking. When you are not busy exploring the ocean you can relax in the private pool. Marathon is just a short 50 mile drive from the heart of Key West. The 2 Bedroom 2 and 1/2 bathroom house is fully furnished. Both bedrooms offer king sized beds, dressers, and nightstands to store all of your belongings. The kitchen is fully stocked with all of your cooking and dinning needs. A large island offers extra seating along with the large dinning room table. The family room offers a queen sized sofa bed to accommodate up to two more guests. A new washer and dryer allow you wash your own laundry. Both bedrooms and the family room provide cable TV and wifi. The 60 ft. dock attached to the back of the house allows boaters to bring in and store your boats while you enjoy the house. This is a sister house to the house next door, Listing #1034656. The difference in the two is that the #1034656 listing is located on a double lot, has twice the dockage, sleeps 10 in beds, and rents Sunday to Sunday. We use the same housekeeper for both houses and she can only prepare one in the window of time from check out to check in, therefore, this listing rents Saturday to Saturday and listing #1034656 rents Sunday to Sunday.

Spectacular views of the ocean. This home was well appointed and comfortable for our family. The canal behind the house was full of fish and wildlife. Anyone looking for a relaxing keys experience, this spot delivers. Steve is a great host and is a very communicative host. Our family is looking forward to returning to this home.

Everything about this home Is perfect. Great location. Fully stocked, beautiful views, Comfy Large beds, Updated , tastefully decorated, open living spaces, and a COLD COLD AC! Plenty of parking especially if your bringing a boat and trailer, kids enjoyed the Pool and fishing off dock, caught tarpon and Snappers behind home. Perfect central location in the Keys! Would rent again for sure.

Loved staying in the house. The pool and the canal were great. Marathon is a great town. Caught a bunch of grunts and snappers in the canal. The home was very comfortable during a record heatwave!

This was fantastic! The owners are amazing and the property was perfect. We kept our boat in the back and always had something to do. The kids fished and swam constantly. We are looking forward to going again!

The house is very clean and well maintained. There are great views from every room. You can catch the sunrise from the living room and watch the sunset turn the ocean pink from the pool on the canal side. There is everything you need at the house to make your stay comfortable. There are multiple restaurants, grocery stores, and drug stores within two miles should you need anything. There is also lots of fishing and snorkeling charters within a few miles. We rented a tandem kayak that was delivered to the house and fished the near by mangroves. We use VRBO often and this was one of the cleanest I have stayed in and would definitely book it again.

This property is beautiful and spotless clean. It's close to all kinds of good stuff; Restaurants, grocery stores, gas stations. The pool was great. And it was short drives to both Key West and Key Largo. We would stay here again.

We've stayed in many VRBO rentals at this point and this house is easily one of our top 3 of all time. When we walked in, we noticed right away that it was immaculately clean. When I say immaculate, I mean that you could smell the cleanliness in the air. Crisp sheets and bedding, gleaming surfaces. Perfection. My son loves to fish, so being right on the ocean AND the canal was a huge plus. Views all around. Surrounded by wildlife and beauty. Birds constantly flying by, manatees regularly swimming in the canal out back. Paradise. Pool was a nice temperature in April and was sparkling and refreshing after a day exploring the area. Being on Marathon is great if you want to do day trips to anywhere else on the keys. We went to Key West, Big Pine Key, and Islamorada during our stay, and the drive to all of those places is very manageable. The house is right down the road from Publix and many great restaurants. Also right down the road from Sombrero Beach. Anything that you could possibly want or need is within a 10 minute drive. If I had to pick one negative, it was that the front door is a little tricky to lock and unlock. We got used to it by the end of the trip thankfully. All in all SUCH a great trip. Felt very safe in the neighborhood and would definitely stay here again!

Our family had a great stay at this home. We brought our boat and enjoyed having it at the house on the canal. The views from both sides of the home were incredible. The furnishings were comfortable and kitchen was well equipped. The home was very clean as well.

We stayed Dec. 21-26 and it was wonderful! The pool was very refreshing on hot days. Its location is not far from everything you’d need like grocery stores and places to eat. Central location was nice to explore as much of the keys as possible. Fun to watch and pet the manatee that was out in the canal when we arrived and to watch the fish attack the green light across the canal each night. It was a great family Christmas Vacation!

This was my first experience using Vrbo for a vacation rental and it was smooth sailing. The property was beautiful and the property owners were very wonderful. I don’t think it could have gone better except if we never had to leave lol. I absolutely recommend this property for a nice relaxing getaway. Firstly, I do not enjoy giving negative reviews, and this gives me no satisfaction. Communication with the agency and owners was fine. However, we had very intermittent hot water due to a faulty water heater (which had obviously had issues in the past, given the security seals were broken and it had odd screws in the casing). This meant that the four of us (adults in our 60's) were unable to shower most days. 3 days into our stay, the owners offered to refund us the final two days suggesting we move to a nearby hotel as the water heater could not be replaced until our last full day. We decided to stay put rather than repack all our gear and stay in separate accommodation from our friends. We messaged the owners (who had been punctual in their replies thus far) suggesting that they refund us one of our days for the inconvenience of having little or no hot water. At that point the communication ceased, despite 3 follow-up text messages from ourselves. The owners could not find the manners to respond to any of our messages suggesting the partial refund. Whilst we fully understand that faults can occur, we cannot accept that the owners would not show the courtesy to reply to our messages. For the record, the water heater was replaced the afternoon prior to our checkout (so we all had a shower on our last morning!)

This home was larger than expected with a vast open kitchen and living room. The views were incredible with front row seats to the sunrise over the water. I can’t imagine a better place to relax after a day of exploring the keys. We spent most evenings (and mornings) in the private pool and even had the opportunity to interact (without touching) with a mom and baby manatee in the canal in the back yard. Absolutely surreal!

Great two bedroom two bath house. Very open floor plan throughout kitchen, dining, and living space. Very well stocked house with cooking and cleaning supplies. THE BEST AIR CONDITIONER in the Keys. The house was incredibly comfortable with a fantastic view out the living room windows. We loved it and wholeheartedly recommend this house for one/two couples or a small family.

This property is far nicer in real life than the pictures would have you believe. The location is ideal both for the view and visiting local attractions. The views out the front as well as sitting by the pool are outstanding. The pool was adequate in size and perfect temperature. The only suggestion would be to try to reroute the ac in some way. When it comes on it blasts cool air. However, this is a minor complaint and we would 100% rent this property again. Heck if I was the owner I would live there!

The Atlantic Sunset was a perfect place to stay. The house is perfect for 2 couples- both bedrooms with King bed and it’s own en suite. The home was very clean and has everything you would need in the kitchen. We enjoyed the pool after long days at the beach or exploring the Keys. I would highly recommend this place and we all want to stay there again.
