Awesome!

Simply wonderful stay!! Awesome owner and staff, the food his wife makes is local and super delicious. Quit place with stunning view to the sea. One of the best experiences i had on booking.

Close to nature, isolated

The place is really eco friendly, almost everything made of wood. You live inside the preaek svay village among the locals. The hosts Han and his wife are really awesome people and very supportive. They help you with everything including how to reach the place, booking boat,, renting a bike or traveling in the island. They have small restaurant cum kitchen available there, and provide you food at very reasonable prices. The place is really good for you if you want to stay away from people and world for a while and stay close to nature only.

I liked everything but it's important to mention that the place is too far from center, arriving here can be tricky but Han tells you all the possible options to reach the place with costs. I came on village's boat that costs 7.5$ from Sihanoukville that was actually a cargo type boat that brings items from city to village. It wasn't very comfortable though and it took 3 hours to reach the island. Plus the place is only good if you want to stay away from the world for a while and live in isolation. No wifi in the place either.

nice but in the middle of nowhere

the property itself was lovely. on the river nice room, however I’d say it’s for people who want to be away from everything more of a retreat.

the location was not great for me…

Beautiful guesthouse, fabulous hosts, idyllic island.

An idyllic stay in a remote fishing village. Absolutely delightful. A taste of real Cambodia.

We loved it all. But it is worth noting that we had a pretty rough sea crossing to get both there and back - not for those who need comfort and dry! It is a long trek to get there but in our view TOTALLY worth it.

I had a great time at the firefly guesthouse ! It was very peaceful, the food was good and the hosts were very kind and helpful. I definitely recommend !

Exceptional

The location is amazing, yes it's far from the main town, but it's well worth it and accessible by scooter. Can hear and see the ocean through the floor boards. The beds are comfy. Be prepared for bucket showers, if anything it's part of the experience and for a short stay it's no issue!

Mr. Hun and his wife were amazing hosts. As the guesthouse is located in the North of the island you have to take a specific ferry to get there and Mr. Hun provided us very clear instructions on how to find the right pier in Sihanoukville. The food at the guesthouse was delish, didn't have a single thing we didn't like. The view from the balcony overlooking the water is beautiful. The room is spacious and Mr. Hun explains all of the facilities before you arrive so you know exactly what to expect. We really enjoyed our stay in this gem of a place.

Our stay was excellent. There wasn't anything we didn't like.

Very friendly staff, perfect room, really nice location too! Be sure to try the local coconuts !!!!

It was a little more expensive than what I expected. But being on an island, it's understandable that anything comes a bit more expensive than in the main land
