About this house rental
Located in Stamford, this lovely house for £546 per night is a great choice for your next trip. Welcome to this light, bright, spacious home, perfect for families and groups. Built in 1869 and updated with a light-filled sunroom with woodburning stove, large playroom stocked with toys, and a huge primary suite and bath. With over 3,800 square feet, it has 4 bedrooms, 4 full bathrooms, 2 with tubs. Plenty of space for groups to gather, and also for someone to find a quiet spot to retreat. 1 hour from NYC, close to downtown Stamford, and Greenwich CT shops and beaches. CHECK IN TIME: 4 PM CHECK OUT TIME: 10 AM The huge backyard provides a lovely view with a towering oak tree and a rolling lawn. At the far end of the yard is a pond and stone patio. In the spring and summer there are frogs in the pond, and the occasional turtle. The playroom is large, sunny, and stocked with toys that kids are welcome to play with. Our outdoor swingset / playset accommodates small children - best for children 10 and under. Please no adult use. Thanks. We have a binder in the house that is full of detailed info about the house, wireless access, garbage pickup, the area, shopping, activities, restaurants, recreation, etc. We are very easy to contact via text or phone with any questions at all you have during your stay -- no matter how small. The neighborhood is bucolic and rural. There's a horse farm nearby, down a winding road. The forested Mianus River Park, with its lovely hiking trails that run alongside the river, is a 3-minute drive from the house, great for jogging, hiking, mountain-biking or walking the dogs (or kids!). The house has easy access to the Merritt parkway (Route 15) so getting into NYC or to nearby Greenwich, CT is easy. Shopping on trendy Greenwich Ave. (Saks, Tiffany, J. Crew, etc.) is 15-20 minutes away. Stamford train station is about 15-20 minutes from the house, and has many trains running into New York's Grand Central station, a 1-hour train ride away. Wonderful property conveniently located with easy access to Stamford and Greenwich. House was so clean and had everything we needed from dishes to towels. Deirdre was so helpful and provided us with a list of local restaurants including their favorites. Great stay, would recommend!

It was such a pleasure spending the weekend in this delightful home. It could not have been more welcoming nor charming.
Our family was quickly at ease in this wonderful family home. Every need was anticipated and provided for. The furniture helped make conversation and relaxation flow instantly.
The linens were soft and beds cozy, temperature was easily controlled. (This weekend was like 3 seasons in one. The toiletries were top quality and the laundry was easily accessed.
The property was a beautiful refuge complete with Blue Heron visits!
If you are looking for a fun, comfortable and family friendly rental then look no further. Deirdre was always quick to respond to any questions and extremely clear in any communications. It is obvious that when you stay in her home, a piece of her heart is always with you!

We had a wonderful family visit! The playroom, garage full of rideable toys, and private backyard set the stage for a perfect week long vacation with our grandchildren.

This house has everything a family could need on vacation: plenty of beds, a big yard, and toys for children of all ages. It is about 15 minutes from downtown Stamford and a little further from Greenwich, with a large number of restaurants and parks nearby. It is also convenient to get to the train to New York. We will definitely consider coming back here!

Everyone in our property really enjoyed our stay at the property. The host was so helpful during our search for property. We were looking for a home that would accommodate our large family traveling from Omaha to attend our son & daughter-in-laws wedding. She was very prompt and through with every question that we asked before making the reservation. She contacted us promptly one week before our arrival with information about the very easy check-in process. Again, she answered all our questions. She was a pleasure to work with. The property was beautiful and just as described....we found no surprises or disappointments. The place was very nicely decorated and had everything that we looked for (kitchen very well stocked as well as extra bedding). Since we had 5 small children with us, the host was accommodating in letting us stay in the 4 bedroom/4 bath home (which is rare to find in this area). There were bedrooms and baths for each of the couples and plenty of room for the kiddos to spread out on floors on inflatable mattresses. The kids loved the toy room and all the books! (and so did the parents). I personally loved the original flooring and history of the house and the personal touches throughout the home. Our only disappointment was that it rained all weekend so we could not take advantage of the spacious yard and outdoor toys. A great weekend for our family and the house was perfect and the host made us feel welcome. Thank you for making the Pulverenti wedding memorable and stressfree. (I rated location a 4 as there is nothing directly around the house to quickly restock or pickup. So come prepared with your food/drink/takeout etc. But, as we drove through the area I think this is common for all neighborhoods in the area)

Weekend Away with Little Ones
An awesome weekend get away for us (two couples and our <2 yo children). The play room was a total treat for the kids. Lots of little nooks and crannies in the home to get cozy and lost in. A fully stocked garage with kids toys/sleds and a beautiful little pond out back was icing in the cake. We would definitely go back!!

Perfect place for a family vacation!
Let me start with saying that I left a piece of my heart at this beautiful place. Dierdre's property is tasteful, very clean, and spacious, it is even better and more spacious that the pictures. We were a family of 8 who decided to spend our Christmas vacation here and once we entered the house, we got amazed with the feel of the house and taste of owners in decorating the place in a way that you feel home and comfortable. Deirdre was also very responsive and kind whenever I had a question and generous with letting the guests use everything at their home. I would love to come back to this property during the summer and enjoy the backyard as well. We had a very nice stay here, you would love every single detail of this house.

Love this house
We could not have asked for more. The house is so roomy and charming. My kids wanted for nothing, they each had their own room, a playroom and a stocked garage.
The house was fully stocked with everything you could ask for from kitchen wear to cleaning and bathroom products. This will be out first stop if we need a place to stay in Connecticut again.
Deidre was wonderful with communication during our stay and making us feel right at home.

Wedding made perfect!
This property was beyond perfect. The house was not only clean, fully equipped, and spacious the vibe was so cozy and welcoming I felt like we were in our own home. We stayed as is was my sons wedding and Deirdre could not have been more helpful and welcoming. This home away from home was perfect!

Wonderful getaway!
We had a wonderful time at this property with plenty to enjoy! The light in the home is amazing and, as a photographer, was the first thing I noticed. We spent many hours in the backyard running through the sprinkler, on the tire swing, watching and waiting for critters to show themselves. We took daily walks together and enjoyed a lot of the wonderful restaurants in Stamford and Greenwich. On our last day we played a family game of hide and seek which was so much fun! Deirdre, was always available to answer any questions or offer suggestions to enhance our visit. Such a lovely experience all around!

Perfect Experience!
The house is lovely. Lots of space, a huge yard, kid-friendly and comfortable. My kids really enjoyed the playroom and the huge yard and pond. My husband and I are runners and there was beautiful space, woodsy streets and awesome trails for that nearby.
The home owners couldn’t be more welcoming and helpful. All questions were answered immediately and every little detail was thoroughly considered.
I can’t recommend it highly enough!
