Amazing view and lovely quiet area. We found a couple of local restaurants with delicious home cooked food and really cheap! Lovely local boat trips, we went twice. Marcos was really good at communicating and the property is big and well equipped.

Wonderful property with incredible views. Manuela was so very helpful and happy to show the house. I could easily have slept in the living just for it's views. Maybe next time.

We really loved the deck overlooking the river. Nice fresh air and a great place to hang with friends. We took lots of day trips from here and Marcos was great about sharing restaurant ideaa with us. Would stay again.

Truly exceptional owner and property. Comes as advertised, pictures do not do this place justice. Host was so responsive and organized. Went above and beyond to make sure we made the most of our stay. This is an example of how a VRBO should be run. We hope to come back again for a longer stay! Thanks for sharing with us, we sincerely apprrciated your hospitality and the experience.

traumhafte Lage

Wie schon mehrfach erwähnt, und auf den Bildern ersichtlich, kann man die Lage des Anwesens nur als traumhaft bezeichnen. Man kann sich nicht satt sehen. Das Haus hat alles was man benötigt (wir haben uns allerdings einige Weingläser gekauft, weil die im Haus vorhandenen aus Plastik sind, wohl wegen Bruchgefahr) Die Kommunikation und Hilfsbereitschaft von Marcos ist wirklich überragend. An unserem Ankunftstag gegen 20:00 ließ sich ein Wasserhahn nicht mehr schließen. Marcos organisierte, am Samstagabend, einen Klempner, der den Wasserhahn ersetzte. Die Lage ist sehr ruhig und man ist mit dem Auto in 5 Minuten im kleinen Örtchen Souselo, wo es einen hervorragenden Bäcker und einen erstaunlich gut bestückten, kleinen Supermarkt gibt. Porto oder das Meer erreicht man in ca. 1 h Fahrzeit. Wir waren 3 Personen und hatten dementsprechend Platz im Überfluss. Aber auch mit 6 Personen muss man sich nicht einschränken. Wenn wir wieder in dieser Gegend Urlaub machen, dann genau in diesem Haus. Es ist einfach perfekt und zu 100% zu empfehlen.

We loved the property and the views were stunning. The home was very clean, comfortable and had plenty of amenities. Marcos was very helpful and gave us good recommendations on where we could visit in the area. It's a good location to base out of and see the country.

Lovely area with beautiful view. House is comfortable. We loved touring the Douro But found the directions and GPS a bit of an issue. Our host was great at keeping in touch and offering advice and assistance.

Fantastisch huis op een fantastische plek

Zeer compleet ingericht huis. We hebben genoten met ons gezin (vier kinderen: 17,15, 13 en 10 jaar oud) van het huis, zwembad, tuin en het onvergetelijke uitzicht. Op de rivier kun je heel leuk vlakbij een boot huren met een band er achter of waterskiën. Marcos is super behulpzaam bij alles wat je maar kunt bedenken. Echt een plek om terug te komen. Op iets meer dan een uur rijden hebben we met z’n allen canyoning gedaan, ook een aanrader. Het is niet zo’n toeristische streek maar meer dan genoeg te doen en te beleven.

Wir haben zu Dritt zwei sehr schöne Wochen in diesem Haus verbracht, alles war bestens, hier zusammengefasst die für uns wichtigsten Punkte: - die Lage ist einzigartig, traumhafter Blick! - durch die Alleinlage ist man völlig ungestört und es herrscht wunderbare Ruhe. Man hat überall viel Platz. - der Pool ist wirklich groß(!), man kann richtig schwimmen. - Marcos war extrem hilfsbereit, immer erreichbar und hat sofort reagiert, wenn wir ihn kontaktiert haben. Manuela ist superlieb. - Sehr gutes WLan. - Der Garten ist sehr gepflegt. - Zur Ausstattung: sehr gute Matratzen, viele Handtücher und Badetücher, Geschirr im Überfluss, Besteck, Töpfe, Küchengeräte (Wasserkocher!), Außengrill.... alles top. - Wir hatten den Eindruck, dass kontinuierlich renoviert wird und dies nach und nach geschieht. Z.B. sah der Hof ganz frisch gepflastert aus und das Wohnzimmer ist modern und neu, ebenso die sanitären Anlagen (WC und Bidet neu), die Bäder selber sind aber noch nicht renoviert, wie auch die Küche. Man hat hier einen Mix aus alt und neu mit einem ganz eigenen Charme, der uns persönlich sehr gut gefallen hat, wir haben uns äußerst wohl gefühlt in Marcos´"Paradies"!

Adoramos e vamos repetir! Adoramos desde a total disponibilidade, todo o cuidado e atenção que tiveram connosco às fantásticas instalações. Fomos de malas e bagagem 18 adultos, 3 crianças e um bebé passar um fim de semana em família na Quinta das Tílias no Douro e foi uma experiência a repetir, a quinta é magnífica com vistas deslumbrantes e com todas as condições para se passar dias inesquecíveis. Obrigada ao proprietário pela sua incansável disponibilidade e voltaremos de certeza ❤

first time in Douro and we will come back ! Quinta das Tilias is one of these hidden gem you see from far when cruising on the Douro and you would never dare dreaming having for yourself... and we did ! We spent a week in this wonderful place, comfortable, charming, spacious and super well located. Marcos has been a fantastic host, super reactive and always going the extra mile to organize activities, offer tips and even delivering a full Portuguese meal prepared by a local chef on our terrace. A must go !

Marcos was very responsive to any request we had. The house was in great conditio and the views , wow !! We loved the privacy of the home and pool. The only recommendation I would make is making the drive way the same height as the newly paved road. We will be back again for sure. Everyone was so great and helpful. The whole property was absolutely perfect. It has the beautiful view of the river and all the amenities are exactly what we expected. It has everything you need! Our host and his maid were wonderful and very helpful. We will definitely return!
