Wonderful cottage just steps from the beach!
We had such a wonderful week staying at Marcia & Rogers cottage! The house had everything you would need and was a very short walk down a path to the beach. Very quiet and peaceful. Beach was absolutely perfect for our kids to play and boogie board. Marcia was very responsive and helpful as a host. Definitely will be coming back again!

Magical place for a relaxing family vacation!
Magical place for a relaxing family vacation!
Our family (two adults, two kids ages 5-7) had an incredible week staying at Marcia's cottage on Popham Beach. The cottage is cozy and has everything you need. Marcia was a responsive and thoughtful host. The location can't be beat; it is a 60-second walk until your toes hit the sand of a truly gorgeous, wide open beach. The water was a little chilly (I'd call it "refreshing") but that didn't keep my kids from playing in the calm waves all day, in between making epic sand castle villages. It's super scenic, with a lighthouse and an old fort in view...and the stars at night! In this year of COVID, it was easy to maintain our social distance as the beach is huge and not crowded at all. We also ventured out on a couple of day trips during the week (we visited Pemaquid Point on one day and took a boat trip to Monhegan Island out of Boothbay Harbor on another). And we also spent entire days on the beach/at the cottage without going anywhere by car. We all needed a break after this stressful year and our time at Popham Beach was truly relaxing and restoring for us all.

This traditional summer cottage could not be in a better location for enjoying all that the Popham Beach area has to offer. Straight out the door and a short path to the beach with a walk to Fort Popham in one direction and the huge expanse of beach toward Popham State Park in the other direction.
