Beautiful location and property. House could use some love. Unfortunately, the place had an ant infestation when we stayed there and ants were everywhere.

The house was perfect for our family vacation. Plenty of room for everyone to enjoy their own space but great common spaces too.

We enjoyed our stay in Maine on the Sasanoa River. The home was comfortable & well suited for quiet time away from home.

The property is very spacious and beautiful surroundings. The home very pretty. The house was VERY well stocked and we appreciated having all detergents, spices, cleaning supplies and bags, toilet paper etc as needed supplied. The air conditioning in master bedroom works VERY well, and the open air throughout the home was perfect (many windows). It was secluded and quiet/peaceful and just very lovely! We played games (lots provided at home) and worked on puzzles and just had a very fun stay. Thank you-perfect!

A beautiful location with a private dock. However getting there requires an SUV since the private access road has large potholes. The house itself was dirty with broken items and shabby furniture. Did not meet expectations.

This house was my favorite of 4 locations on a trip to Maine.. The location is amazing.. SO private.. the house is very comfortable, and the kitchen is fully stocked for cooking.. It was hard to leave to go exploring because we didn't want to leave the house.. It was like being on an island by yourself. SO peaceful.. My only regret is we only stayed 3 nights. I would book this place without hesitation!

The place was a bit of a splurge for us -- but we found ourselves extremely satisfied with our decision to do so. The location was secluded, tranquil, and well appointed. We cooked in the substantial kitchen, and we enjoyed the passage of each day from the garden/deck/living room which had the perfect orientation toward the water. We recommend the place highly!

What a great place for us to celebrate our 20th anniversary.
The leaves were beautiful. We felt so off the beaten trail and yet it was so close to so many great things.

Fantastic Place
We really enjoyed staying here. It was everything we expected. There were a couple of things that we wish were a little better. The mattress was very hard and flat. We would of liked to have more wood for the wood burner but all in all it was a wonderful place to stay.

PEACEFUL OASIS
The rental was perfect for the occasion. When we arrived the house lived up to our expectations. Everything was neat and clean, the beds were made up and there were towels for everyone. The view was spectacular and the house was well built to take in that entire view. The kitchen was well stocked for cooking and entertaining. Notes everywhere on how to use electronics. We can see ourselves coming here again. Thank you so much for sharing your lovely home with us.

Great Waterfront Property
This property was just what we were looking for, for a long Labor Day weekend getaway with our grown kids who both live in New England now (Boston and Portland). Well-outfitted, quiet waterfront and very enjoyable. We'll definitely keep it in mind for next time we come to Maine during the summer.

Beautiful spot to enjoy Mid Coast Maine!
We felt privileged to stay in this family home. The house is smaller than appears in photos, but plenty of room for 2 moms and 3 teens. THe house is windowed on all sides, so you almost felt like your were staying outdoors. The screen porch was a great addition, as traveling in June to Maine is usually fraught with bugs. Maine bugs are huge, but generally lazy, so they leave you alone if your keep moving. For sitting outside in the evening the screen is a must!! The beds were mostly comfortable, if old, although the loft only had very old mattresses on the floor that really need replacing. The kids put 2 sets of sheets on them to feel cleaner. The kitchen is stocked, but with very old pots and pans and there is no ice maker. We made do quite well, these are mostly small things.
The location is perfect! We spent everyday exploring the finger peninsula's of the coast. Locally the Osprey Restraunt and 5 Islands lobster pound is not to be missed. Near 5 Islands is a wonderful farm store with delectable local cheese and snacks.
Boothbay Harbor is always fun and Pemequid lighthouse is my favorite of the area.
My main gripe with the house was the management company Vacasa. We had 2 maintenance issues (the heat, which not needed after 1st night thankfully, and the washing machine) and called the company to have a service person come 36 hours after promised for the heat, and the call about the washer was completely ignored. We have stayed at other houses managed by the owners or other property companies with much better response time. With Vacasa you have to leave a message, no one ever answers the phone. I suppose I should not have been surprised as when booking the home my emails took days to be answered.
On the whole it was fine, but I would have been very upset if it had really been cold and we had no heat.

Great location to explore Mid Coast Maine
The house is smaller than looks in pics, but was fine for 2 moms and 3 teens. We loved the configuration of the house with windows on 3 sides and a big screen porch. The house is old, but doesn't feel that way. The only place you notice the age is in the kitchen with older appliances and pots and pans with no lids. One of the burners on the stove took super long to heat. Minor inconveniences when we spent most of our time exploring. Perfect location away from it all, but only minutes away from the little town of Georgetown or the bigger town of Bath.
We also explored the Boothbay peninsula and our fav lighthouse was Pemequid. Also love the old cemetaries.
