Nestled in Sestri Levante, this lovely condo for £167 per night is a fantastic choice for your next vacation. The beautiful bright apartment 'Villa Roberta' (180m2) is very spacious. The large windows extend across the entire front of the living and dining room and offer fantastic views of the sea and the bay of Sestri Levante. On the ground floor you find the living and dining room. The comfortable fully equipped kitchen looks onto the garden and the sea. In addition there is a small shower room with toilet. The upper floor has a large master bedroom with a double bed and a second bedroom also with double bed and access to the second large terrace. The third bedroom has bunk beds and leads to a small terrace. Also on the upper floor there is the second bathroom, with bathtub. The apartment is not a typical holiday apartment, but was a family home that has been kept with love and care over the years by its’ owner, who live in and independent flat in the same house on the lower level. They appreciate guests who respect the calm atmosphere and respect the house and its’ content. The apartment is ideal for guests who wish to relax in beautiful surroundings. The terrace on the ground floor provides ample space for dining and relaxing whilst enjoying a stunning view of the sea and the picturesque bay.

A large aparment with a superb view on Sestri Levante's bay.
Plus: great view, large apartment, nice terrace, wel equipped, various rooms
Minus: the train station is in the centre in front of the house. It prevents sleeping with the window open. The other minus is the large number and steps to climb to go to the apartment. It caused us not to go out as often as we would normally do. The steps are doable but can lead to some sweating in the heat.

This property is right for some people and definitely wrong for others. Unfortunately, it was wrong for us.
There are 180 steep steps to reach the house from the parking space. There is no other way up. I believe it would be most honest to warn people of this in the listing, which is the point at which people will be making the decision, but the listing makes no mention of it. After we arrived and discovered this issue, when I asked about it, the property manager told me I had been informed in an email. Sure enough, she had mentioned it in an email, but it was buried at the bottom of a very long email, most of which was unimportant duplicative information. I take responsibility for missing this crucial fact, but I do think it would be more honest to state it up front in the listing itself.
The house is very nice, classic Italian mid-century design, mostly well-maintained. The view is spectacular. Although there are other houses on the same hillside, it's mostly woodland, and mosquitos are an issue.
If the steps don't bother you, and if you're not the first person that the mosquitos go for, then this is a nice place to stay.

Traumhafter Blick, PKW Stellplatz problematisch
Viel Platz im Haus, sehr schöner Blick auf die Bucht, Vermietererin ist immer erreichbar, Heizung lässt sich nur über die Vermieterin steuern und kostet extra. Geschirr nur begrenzt vorhanden. Der Stellplatz liegt in Hanglage und ist damit nicht ganz einfach anzufahren. Das Umfeld ist toll, Stadt, Strand und Bahnhof sind schnell erreichbar.

Wunderschöne Wohnung
Eine sehr schöne, geschmackvolle Wohnung mit vielen Terrassen und das immer mit Meerblick. Die Gastgeberin war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Ich kann die Wohnung nur empfehlen für jeden, der noch einigermaßen gut zu Fuß ist. Ein wundervoller Ort und ein schönes Haus.

Ein wunderbarer Urlaub in einer tollen Villa
Die Villa Roberta hat einen atemberaubenden Blick ans Meer und Sestri Levante. Es war einfach toll unsere Mahlzeiten auf der Terrasse zu essen, dort zu spielen und zu lesen.
Die Besitzerin der Villa ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Es war sehr aufmerksam von ihr eine Flasche Wein und Wasser für uns vorzubereiten.
Die Kommunikation mit Frau d'Alfonso lief sehr gut und problemlos. Alle offene Fragen wurden rechtzeitig und kompetent beantwortet.
Dank einer guten Beschreibung über die Hanglage der Villa wussten wir, dass keine großen Koffer gepackt werden sollten. Dies war eine Rettung. Selbst für die sportlichsten sind 186 Treppenstufen im Sommer sind nicht zu unterschätzen. Der Blick nach die Überwindung von diesen Stufen loht sich aber auf jeden Fall.
Das Haus ist keine Neubau aber ist einfach toll geschnitten und wird gut von den Besitzern gepflegt. Für uns 4 haben wir mehr als genug Platz gehabt. 2 Bäder waren gut zu haben und mit ein wenig Geschick haben wir uns auf engen Duschen gewohnt.
Die Villa ist einfach empfehlenswert für alle, die fit sind, und einen schönen Ausblick haben möchte.

Perfect Holiday
Beautiful house with breathtaking views. We (2 adults+2 teenagers) spent 10 wonderful days there. The house is located at walking distance from the beach and offers a private parking. The rooms are big and comfortable, opening up to terraces with wonderful views. There are some 180 steps leading to the house after you park your car. It seems a lot but is manageable and a bit of training always helps :) All of our questions were handled extremely professionally and timely by the agency (thank you Annette) and we had the privilege to meet our wonderful host in person, Roberta who gave us excellent recommendations for restaurants, places to visit etc. Overall, we would highly recommend this house.

Wunderschöne Villa in einem gepflegten mediterranen Garten
Wenn die lange Treppe (von mediterraner Flora in Schatten gehüllt) kein Hindernis darstellt, dann erwartet einen eine sehr schöne und gepfelgte grosse Ferienwohnung mit einem herrlichen Blick aufs Meer und auf Sestri Levante. Die Pinie vor den grossen Balkonen spendet willkommenen Schatten, ohne die Sicht zu versperren. Ein Ort, um sich rundum wohlzufühlen. Roberta, die Hausbesitzerin ist sehr freundlich und auch der Kontakt mit der Agentur (Annette De Alfonso) war sehr angenehm. Wir können es ohne Einschränkung empfehlen.

Wunderschöner Aufenthalt
Unser Aufenthalt in dieser Wohnung war fantastisch. Wie schon in anderen Bewertungen beschrieben, ist es am einfachsten, wenn der Treppenaufstieg als tägliches Workout angesehen wird. :-) Es lohnt sich, denn die Aussicht von der Terrasse über Sestri Levante ist einmalig. Wir wurden sehr herzlich empfangen - überall hatte es frische Blumensträusse zur Deko. Auch mit einer Flasche Wasser und Weisswein wurden wir überrascht. Danke nochmals vielmal für alles.

Beautiful apartment with extraordinary view
We, 2 adults and three young adults spent a very enjoyable week at Villa Roberta in Sestri Levante.
Roberta was very nice and helpful so all the organizational stuff went down smoothly. The house is situated at about 5 min walking distance from the next beach and all the shops can be reached by foot in about 15 min so we did not have to use our car to go shopping or swimming.
Sestri Levante is a charming smalltown next to the sea and its shops and restaurants are well worth a visit.
All in all: a highly recommended place to spent a holiday.

Wir haben eine wunderschöne, gemütliche Familienwoche in der Villa Roberta verbracht. Die Lage des Hauses bietet eine atemberaubende Aussicht auf‘s Meer und Sestri Levante. Die Wohnung ist sehr gemütlich und durch die grossen Fenster hell und freundlich. Die grosse Terrasse lädt zum Ausruhen, Apero und Essen inmitten des südländischen Gartens mit Meerblick. Der Garten ist wunderschön bepflanzt und hat verschiedene Ecken zum geniessen. Roberta ist eine charmante, unkomplizierte und sympathische Gastgeberin. Sie hat uns mit kleinen Aufmerksamkeiten immer wieder Freude bereitet.
Wir fühlten uns sehr wohl und es hat uns an nichts gefehlt.

Ein kleines Paradies
Wir haben eine Woche Anfang Mai 2019 in der Wohnung verbracht. Wir, das sind 2 Erwachsene & 2 Teenager. Die Wohnung ist sehr geräumig, die Küche ist gut ausgestattet und das Highlight ist die Aussicht. Wir haben jeden Morgen mit diesem Traumblick gefrühstückt und unseren Aperitif genommen. Also wir werden sicher wieder kommen. Was man wissen muss ... ist, dass es 150 Stufen hinauf geht (uns hat das nicht gestört) - jedoch die Stufen sind ein Fakt. Auch der Parkplatz ist in Hanglange und nicht sehr breit :). Auch das hat uns nicht gestört. Alles übrige ist einfach nur super! Wir sind an den Strand, waren wandern und haben uns Genua angeschaut - alles mit der Bahn!

Sportliche Traumwohnung
Das großzügige Ferienhaus, die Lage mit Blick in die Bucht von Sestri Levante und nicht zuletzt die sehr freundliche Gastgeberin Seniora Roberta sind Grund genug, immer mal wieder nach Ligurien zu reisen.
Wir kennen keine vergleichbare Ferienwohnung.
Und die sportlichen 186 Stufen hinauf sind eine Einladung, täglich mehrere Portionen Sport zu bewältigen.

Traumhafte Wohnung mit toller Aussicht
Die Wohnung hat alle unsere Erwartungen erfüllt - es blieben keine Wünsche offen. Sie entsprach auch hundertprozentig den im Netz publizierten Fotos (was nicht von allen Wohnungen geschrieben werden kann...).
Der Empfang wie auch die Betreuung während des ganzen Aufenthalts einmonatigen waren liebenswürdig, hilfsbereit und doch diskret. Wir fühlten uns sehr wohl und willkommen.
Die Aussicht ist traumhaft.
Die Stufen ermahnen, nicht allzu viel einzupacken. Dank der Waschmaschine reicht auch ein kleiner Koffer... Ohne Gepäck sind sie eine willkommene tägliche "Gymnastik".
Der Strand und die Altstadt sind in ca. 10 - 15 Minuten zu erreichen.
Wir können die Wohnung nur empfehlen!

Tolle Wohnung mit traumhafter Aussicht
Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt, und die Vermieterin ist sehr nett.
Die perfekt ausgestattete Wohnung und die Aussicht sind phänomenal.
Toll ist auch, dass man das Auto nicht braucht: in 15 Minuten ist man am Strand und in der Stadt.

Wir haben im Haus 2 Wochen verbracht
Das Haus Roberta liegt zwar in unmittelbarer Nähe zum Bahnhof Sestri Levanti, aber der steile Weg bis zur 186 Stufen ist nicht zu unterschätzen, vor allem wenn man Koffer dabei hat.
Die Privatstraße ist sehr schmal und steil, so dass das Parken ein sehr gutes Bergparkenkönnen bedarf. So haben wir uns in Verbindung mit A., der Verwalterin des Hauses, gesetzt, um uns nach einer anderen Parkmöglichkeit zu erkundigen. Da wir mit dem Vorschlag auf der Hauptstraße zu parken nicht einverstanden waren, wurde die Gegenseite sehr unfreundlich, so dass wir gesagt bekommen haben: Sie können abreisen, wenn Sie möchten! Damit war die weitere Diskussion sinnlos. Zum Schluss haben wir mit der freundlichen Unterstützung von R. das Auto in irgendeinem 1,5 km entferntem Wohnviertel geparkt.
Während des Aufenthalts gab es noch ein paar Anrufe von der Hausverwalterin. Sehr geehrte Verwalterin, ich möchte nicht ständig im Urlaub angerufen werden. Ich möchte meine Ruhe genießen und ich muss NICHT zurückrufen. Leider gab es auch an dem Abend vor der Abreise eine Diskussion mit der Verwalterin, was die Gemütlichkeit des letzten Abends zerstört hat. Es ist nicht neu, dass die Gäste evtl. in der früheren Morgenstunde oder auch Mitten in der Nacht abreisen. In dem Fall werden alle Formalitäten mit dem Vermieter am Vorabend erledigt, so dass die Gäste ohne Stress morgens die Tür zuziehen und abreisen. Hier war es jedoch nicht möglich, da die Verwalterin auf die persönliche Übergabe bestanden hat und dass nach der Übergabe kein Gast sich im Haus befinden darf. Die Diskussion war natürlich wieder mit mehreren Anrufen verbunden. Sehr geehrte Verwalterin des Hauses, normalerweise vertraut man seinen Gästen. Aber mit diesem Verhalten wird die Glaubwürdigkeit des Gastes in Frage gestellt.
Unbedingt zu erwähnen ist noch die Ameisenplage. Die Küche muss sofort nach dem Kochen blitze blank geputzt werden, ansonsten findet man sofort einen Ameisenhaufen auf dem Schneidebrettchen o.ä., von den Pizzaschachteln ganz abgesehen. Somit mussten alle Lebensmittel in den Kühlschrank verstaut werden.
Was die Sauberkeit des Hauses betrifft: die Räume werden nur oberflächlich geputzt. Es handelt sich um etwas in die Jahre gekommenes Haus, was eine Renovierung bedarf.
Fazit: Abgesehen von den nervigen Anrufen war der Urlaub schön, die Villa ist ok, die Lage ist perfekt, der Ausblick ist atemberaubend, die Hausbesitzerin, die in derselben Villa wohnt, ist freundlich und hilfsbereit.

Sonst ziemlich kompliziert: Zugang / vor allem bzgl. des Parkplatzes - selbst wenn man genau im mitgeteilten gekennzeichneten Bereich geparkt hat gab es fast täglich Notizen mit der Bitte sein Auto 10 cm weiter vor oder zurück zu parken, bis hin die Autoschlüssel auszuhändigen (was wir verweigerten).
Unser Abreisetag wurde schlussendlich verwechselt.
Alles in allem hat man zwar seinen eigenen ruhigen Bereich, kommt sich aber ziemlich vor wie in einem Korsett. Für uns war's schön, aber zu kompliziert.

The fantastic villa is very comfortable and well appointed although some of the garden furniture and parts of the kitchen are looking tired. We cooked most days so would have appreciated more cooking pans. We had many meals sitting out on the terrace from where we had one of the best views over Sestri Levante. There were four of us in our party with two cars however there is only parking for one car in a tight and steep space. There is so much to do in the area from the Cinque Terra to the Portofino peninsula that we were sad to leave after only one week. We would highly recommend Villa Roberta to our friends and would love to come back one day.

There is so much to do in the area from the Cinque Terra to the Portofino peninsula that we were sad to leave after only one week. We selected this house for our holiday because it was in the same town as our friends that we were visiting. Best holiday decision. These pictures don't do it justice. The house is very spacious, and so comfortable. We love the large balconies, and the view is magnificent! Truly a gorgeous view. The view is gorgeous day and night. We stayed for 1 week, and would definitely return and highly recommend the house and Sestri Levante to any visitor. The 186 steps to the house is tough, but worth every step once you are on the balcony. Our 5 year old daughter did not complain during any of the walk up. She even enjoyed making a game out of the greenery and flowers that line the walk-way. We had good weather with a few minor sprinkles here & there, but imagine may not be such a pleasant trek in major showers. But once you arrive at the house, it is so relaxing and comfortable, you'd enjoy no matter what the weather is like outside. Suggest you pack lightly for your stay.
Sestri Levante is such a charming seaside town, and so easily accessible to Cinque Terre, Santa Margherite and Portofino by train/bus and easy drive to Pisa (1.5 hrs), Florence (2 hrs) and the designer outlets south of Florence.

Just Beautiful!
We selected this house for our holiday because it was in the same town as our friends that we were visiting. Best holiday decision. These pictures don't do it justice.
