About this house rental
This is the closest Vacation Rental to the town (1 house away) of Lake Lure aka the Village or Land of the "Moose and Goose" "Beach" "Diner" "La Strada". Great couples or Family getaway as it is a quick walk to the Inn for a drink, El Lago and La Strada restaurants but is also a great family spot as it is private, has great Lake View and 5 minute foot walk to the Beach. Literally the best of both worlds. Has 2 traditional bedrooms with queen beds and a sleeping winterized porch with a full and twin. The porch rocks! Respect the sleeping porch! Lake Lure is a fun place to relax and reconnect. We were driving thru one day and stopped and had a drink at the Moose and decided to stay the night. A few weeks later we purchased our lil spot on the hill overlooking the Lake and town - we still love the Moose. We have had fun sharing our places over the years and think Lake Lure is simply a gem of a spot. Great for families, great for a couple and great for a couple couples looking to relax. We are only 35 minutes to Asheville and Hendersonville and 45 minutes to Black Mountain. Approved pets are welcome and we named the home Andy's Place after our 5th blind dog rescue. He loved it here especially the park and down towards the boat launch. That was his world and just a few 100 feet from our driveway! It is important for our guests to understand that this is our home and we hope you will treat it as if it were your own. Our neighbors and the town are very important to us and this can not be a parking or noise nuisance problem - just have fun but no parties, large gatherings, etc. You get it! We have been doing furnished rentals for many years and have vacation rentals in Wilmington, Asheville, Lake Lure, and Bald Head Island and our other listing can be seen at suitesonfront. *** Note - 3rd bedroom is a sleeping porch with a queen and a single. It is great for kids and is heated with floor hear but is not air conditioned. Fans are there and it normally is great for sleeping although we do get an occasional warm night in summer. Have fun and enjoy lil old Andy's Place!!!!

My sister-in-law just wanted to get away for a few days to relax and enjoy the mountains. The Lake Lure home was very charming and in a great location to all things “mountain.” I would highly recommend this home for small or large families! The host was also extremely gracious and allowed us to check in a little early.

Lake Lure is a beautiful and laid back community. Everyone we met was friendly and the hospitality was amazing. Owner was easy to communicate with. Inside was great but the outside needs some work. No where to put anything like hammocks because the area is a little grown up. Location is really good for walking to everything as long as you are able to do steep hills.

Autumn Bliss
This was a great spot to explore the area and absolutley gorgeous in the Fall! It is right outside the town of Lake Lure and very close to Chimney Rock. My wife and I came to explore Asheville and Hendersonville but also to do some hiking. There are great trails close by and further out.
The property itself is incredibly clean and well appointed. Lots of rooms with beds and a kitchen with almost any appliance or cooking supplies you may need. There is a cute outside dining area that overlooks the lake's beach.
Overall, it was a cozy, comfortable stay. The property owners are incredibly responsive and experienced. You feel that everything will be taken care of and there isn't anything they couldn't handle. It's nice to feel secure when you are away and that's how you feel here.

We thoroughly enjoyed our 4 day stay. The view from the backyard is breathtaking, and you are within walking distance to the lake, beach, restaurants, flowering bridge and shopping! It’s just a short drive to get to Chimney Rock, the hike to the waterfall is worth it!
The house itself is exactly as pictured and described. There is plenty of space, the kitchen is well equipped (cookware, coffee pots, toaster oven, etc… it has everything you need!). The owners answered all of our questions prior to our arrival and had detailed instructions on the refrigerator and even a welcome binder with information on the area restaurants and attractions. We felt right at home and would definitely book with them again!

Everything we needed for a family vacation! Our favorite spot was on the patio by the outdoor fireplace. The kitchen is well stocked with cookware, utensils, and even coffee pods. Much to do within a couple of miles and walking distance to the beach and restaurants. We highly recommend this house.

This property was extremely well-maintained, and taking care of. Everything was first class. The best VRBO rental I have ever stayed in. And David and his wife are wonderful, and give you detailed instructions on anything in the house, as well as area attractions. I would definitely recommend staying here.

Great location! Lots of room to relax.
First time visitors to Lake Lure. Beautiful views from the patio. Close to grocery store and right across the street from the beach. We spent Thanksgiving weekend at Andy's Roost. It had everything we needed to prepare a big meal. There's plenty of room for everyone to feel comfortable in the living room. Lots of games, wifi, cable and especially the karaoke machine that the kids loved. David and Pam were very helpful and returned our calls immediately. They're lovely people to work with. We would definitely stay again and recommend it highly.

Stunning view of Chimney Rock with tons of charm and character, centrally located to everything!
From the moment we arrived for my bday weekend it was pure heaven. The house is high up on a hill overlooking chimney rock, it is the best view in Lake Lure. Located only a few miles from all the shops and restaurants and walking distance to the famous Lake Lure Inn. Be sure to check out the park where the boats launch right across the street, panoramic views of the water and mountains. A perfect photo op. The house is cozy with a ton of living space. We spent a lot of time by the fire looking at the beautiful mountains and chimney rock. A welcome book is provided with a plethora of information about the area so you don't even have to plan ahead. Be ready to relax and explore the stunning area. Medina's Kitchen we ate at almost every day, famous for their cinnamon buns! Relax with a beer at a local brewery Hickory Nut Gorge Brewery is situated right on the river with stunning views. All this just a few miles from the house. A perfect location and house with tons of character and charm. You won't get any better.

Felt so at home!
From the time I walked in, I felt right at home. Even though the house had been closed up and I arrived alone in the evening, I felt safe. I slept so well the two nights I was there, which is unusual! I had such a relaxing time sitting on the floor in front of the fireplace listening to soothing music and sitting on the enclosed porch having coffee in the mornings. There are so many restaurants and activities within walking distance. Most things were closed, such as the lake beach, a few restaurants and a coffee shop I was really hoping to visit. I did get a take out pizza from LaStrada, which was delicious! The flowering bridge is within walking distance and is so pretty! Pam, the owner, was extremely easy-going and accommodating. If you stay here, you won't be disappointed! I can't wait to go back!

Wonderful private getaway!
Such a wonderful place! We stayed for our 8th anniversary and enjoyed walking around Lake Lure and the quick drive to downtown Chimney Rock. The actual Rock and trail to the falls are a must do. We ate at Medina's and the homemade cinnamon role was AMAZING. The drive to Asheville took about 35 minutes and is filled with twists and turns and beautiful mountain foliage. Hickory Nut Gap Farms is located on the way to Asheville and is definitely worth stopping for.
This house is perfectly located in quiet Lake Lure within walking distance to the lake, shops and the flowering bridge. We will definitely be returning in the future!

Wonderful get-away spot!
We LOVED staying in this home! It was a fantastic location, as we enjoyed daily strolls on the boardwalk past the Lake Lure Inn, restaurants, and marina. The town of Chimney Rock was only a 3-5 minute drive, and there we had fun looking in the shops, playing mini-golf, eating at the River Watch Deli & Grill (great hamburgers!), and walking/rock hopping along the Broad River. The highlight of our trip had to be our trek up the mountain to climb to the top of Chimney Rock (we even decided to go higher, making to the end of the Exclamation Trail, then looping back to walk to the Hickory Nut Falls). I loved being able to look out the front door of the house to see Chimney Rock every morning! Our family time together every evening was so special as we gathered around the outside chimenea to have a fire and roast s'mores. I know we made memories to last a lifetime during our long weekend get-away. The house was so clean, and we felt right at home with the nice sheets & towels, and 'everyday' items that were already at the house (such as handsoap, detergeant, aluminum foil, spices, etc.). Thank you for such a wonderful spot to stay during our vacation!

Amazing mountain home!
My husband and I brought our little one along for our first trip to Lake Lure. We had such a wonderful stay in this home! We were so appreciative to walk into a beautiful, CLEAN, accommodating home! We felt like we were able to make ourselves right at home with anything we could need! The owners clearly take pride in the little details making sure their guests are comfortable. We enjoyed being able to walk to so many places and enjoy the wonderful weather and views. Even though you can walk to several restaurants, trails, the lake, and parks, the house is so peaceful and quiet! We also enjoyed a day in Asheville, which was less than an hour away. We definitely recommend this home for anyone looking to enjoy Lake Lure! We hope to return in the future!

Great Location!
My husband and I had a wonderful long weekend getaway here, along with our dog - Bonus! The house was very clean and had everything we needed readily available, including coffee and a fully stocked kitchen. The house is a short walk to several restaurants, provides easy access to the trail around the lake, and the grocery store is only a short drive away. We enjoyed our morning walks to Flowering Bridge and evenings out by the fire. This was our first visit to Lake Lure and we are definitely looking forward to going back. The location and views can't be beat at this charming and convenient mountain lake home!

Amazing Lake House
This home is so amazing! The floor plan provides comfort for all guests..The view of the lake from the front porch will soothe all your worries. We enjoyed being able to go on nice walks around the town. Also, being so close to Chimney Rock is an added bonus. Make sure you go to the top. The house was incredibly clean upon arrival and was stocked with everything we needed. We would recommend this vacation property to all of our friends and family for sure!

LOVED, LOVED, LOVED IT!!
We stayed here for a few days with our two dogs in April just to get away for a bit. I had never been to Lake Lure before and was looking forward to going. I was not disappointed! The house was located close to all of the activities we wanted to do. It looks over the lake and beach area and if you look up, you can see Chimney Rock from the patio! We were right down the road from the quaint little Chimney Rock town where there are all kinds of places to eat and shop. We were less than a mile from the Lake Lure adventure company where we were able to rent kayaks, paddle boards and even a pontoon boat! We also visited the Biltmore House which was a short trip from the house. I can't say enough about this house and the area! The house was roomy but cozy and well stocked with everything we needed. The lake was beautiful and I loved being able to bring the dogs. The owners were really nice and were always available to answer any questions we had. I would definitely recommend this property to anyone wanting to stay in the Lake Lure area!

Owner's rock and so does Chimney Rock
Off season getaway stay. The owners have many vacation rentals and are real pros and trying to accommodate you including referring you elsewhere, if needed. We have stayed here twice now and appreciate the pet friendly hospitality and we like to walk down to the Moose and Goose on Thursday for a little local flavor.
While here we played Footgolf (ask the owners), hiked Chimney Rock a couple times, had the burger special on Tuesday at the Tiki Bar, the Jalapeno and Eggplant Pizza at La Strada, stopped by the Moose and Goose (inside the Inn) and generally leisured away a couple of weeks.

Great week!
My family of 4 stayed in this perfectly located home in the town of Lake Lure. It was literally a couple of hundred yards to LaStrada, Lake Lure Spa and Inn. We walked to the Flowering Bridge and the marina where we took the lake tour on a pontoon boat...which we recommend! This home was set up perfectly for a family. It has a master with a onsite bath and also another room with a queen bed (which also connects to a room with a full and twin bed. They home had plenty of games and also table top ping pong which we all enjoyed! They also have a Roku so we were able to enjoy some great movies at night. Plus a great fireplace which we used in the evening! We will definitely be back! Next time we will bring our pooch!
