About this condo rental
Nestled in Wailea, this lovely condo for £126 per night is a fantastic option for your next break. The Kihei Akahi, opposite Kamaole II Beach Park is a fantastic property for both couples and families. Mere steps from the beach, the property features 2 pools, 2 barbeque and picnic areas, tennis courts, beautifully landscaped gardens, ample parking and onsite management and security. Nearest Airport : Kahului at 16 Miles Our one-bedroom condo, featuring a luxurious king sized bed, has a spacious open-galley kitchen. We did a complete renovation and refurbishment with new furniture, new appliances, new flooring, new bathroom and new kitchen in 2011. Every year since then, we have updated, maintained and refreshed the condo at least twice a year. From the lanai of our Maui home on the third floor of the highly desired C Building, you look over the beautifully landscaped garden and across the lower pool to the ocean. Or, turn to the left and look over the upper pool to Haleakela - one of the two dramatic volcanos which created Maui. Kamaole II beach is mere steps from our door. Our upgraded unit features tile flooring, new cabinets and granite countertop in the kitchen, new tiled walk-in shower in the bathroom with Bali beach stone flooring, new furniture and new painting and decor throughout. The condo is decorated in warm and welcoming colours which invoke the sand and shore. Sitting on the lanai, 1 level up, there is almost a courtyard feeling in the middle of the lush tropical vegetation of the Kihei Akahi garden. It is a wonderfully zen place to have breakfast or coffee. The added benefit to our location is that the inside of the condo stays cool during the day as it avoids the direct sun. Open the windows and let the sea breeze in! Everything you need for your Maui vacation is in the unit including linens, dishes & cutlery, cooking utensils, laundry, beach chairs and toys. Well, not everything. The beach and the sun are outside and the shops and restaurants of Kihei and Wailea are minutes away. We hope you enjoy your stay in our little piece of paradise. In response to the wildfires which decimated Lahaina, 10% of our rental revenue is donated to Habitat for Humanity Maui. They lost ten brand new homes in the fire and we want to help rebuild them. Fully Renovated: Fully Furnished: Newly Stocked: Continually Upgraded: We purchased and renovated this property in 2011 and wanted to make it really special for ourselves, - and for you! A note on air conditioning. Our condo is well shaded from direct sunlight and does not get as hot inside as others do. Accordingly we have an air conditioner in the living room but not in the bedroom ( which faces north). With the windows open and the sea breezes blowing, the rooms are always a comfortable temperature. If you are the type of person who needs air conditioning no matter what, this condo may not be right for you. A note on payment schedule. The default is a single payment at time of booking. If your stay is longer than 10 days and you would like to split the payment into two, please ask before you book and I will be happy to set that up for you. (Not available for Expedia bookings, Vrbo only due to system constraints) A note on Vacation Rentals. This condo complex was originally built as a vacation rental in the resort destination of Kihei, Maui. It is designed with the traveller in mind and was never intended as long term residence for those who live and work on Maui. No one is being displaced and so there is no need to feel guilty. My family and I spent a week at Neal’s condo and we had a great time! The place was a perfect home away from home. Neal being an excellent host was very attentive and always there to help. The place was well-equipped and had everything we needed. Location was perfect and there was a beautiful beach right across the street. Great value for money and highly recommended!!

It was our first time in Maui, and everything went beyond our best expectations. The condo is located right in front of Kamaole 2, a beatiful beach. The condo has everything you need for a wonderful vacation, it is very comfortable, and has all gear you would need for the beach. The condo owner is very responsive for any enquiry you may have. The property management is very kind, the whole complex is a nice garden. Definitively we recommend!!

My husband and I had a fantastic stay in this condo. Neal is very responsive to any questions or concern that arose. The condo is located very centrally in the complex and in the town of Kihei. It is supplied wit( all the essentials including beach chairs, towels,etc. I would absolutely recommend this condo to friends and family and hope that we will be able to stay again in the future. Besides the well manicured grounds, the 2 swimming pools, tennis courts and friendly check-in service, we especially liked the close proximity to one of three beautiful beaches. We greatly appreciated the communication and overall concern for our pleasant stay from our landlord. We highly recommend this accommodation and will endeavor to book again in the future.

Neal’s condo is truly a slice of paradise. Location is perfect; right across the street from a beautiful white sand beach and walking distance from great food and shops. The condo is so clean, well furnished, with all the amenities. The couch in the living room is so comfortable with a view of a large flat screen tv. The kitchen has everything you need, including a dish washer! The bedroom is private and has a comfy king sized bed. The lanai is big with a table and four chairs and a gorgeous view of the ocean to the right and the mountains to the left. Below is a well manicured Hawaiian garden with beautiful trees to enjoy. Neal is truly the perfect host! Communication with him was easy and quick turn around. He is kind and generous! Thank you for sharing your incredible beach house ! We hope to back soon!

The condo is good. It would have been great if the toilet wasn't so low. The toilet in this condo is very low. The top of the toilet was below my knees and I'm 5'7" tall. If you have bad knees or any mobility issues I'd recommend someplace else. The shower is great only a small lip to step over.
I'm disabled and had to buy a mobility accessable potty chair in order to use the toilet in this condo. With the negative out of the way let's focus on the good. Sitting on the deck you can see the ocean and the mountains. Having my coffee outside in the morning was fantastic! The condo is walking distance to Fred's and Penny's Pizza. (I used my walker and I was fine). When their where no kids in the pool it was good. Too many kids and too many floating toys was too much for me. Neal and Jared provided us with a wonderful VRBO and it made our trip to Maui very special. Thank you

My husband and I loved our stay at this property. The condo was spotless, had all the amenities we would want and the location was excellent!
We loved having coffee/breakfast on the lanai as well as a relaxing drink after spending the days exploring the island and beaches. The whales were out in huge numbers this year and we could even spot some from the lanai.
We made great use of the chairs/umbrella and coolers that were provided as we enjoyed the beaches across the street and also those we drove to.
The location could not have been better!! To be able to just walk a few hundred meters to the beach and not worry about parking etc... priceless. There are plenty of shops and restaurants within walking distance as well.
Overall, this condo was perfect and we would highly recommend it. We will definitely book this condo the next time we visit Maui.

A Nice Replacement
We booked the condo and found out shortly afterward that it had mistakenly been double booked. Neal quickly remedied the situation by working with another owner in the facility and getting us a very nice replcement unit after we agreed to it. He was a great communicator and made everything right if it wasn't. Thanks, Neal, for being a great rental owner!

Back in paradise!
This was our 3rd stay at the Akahi and the second time in this unit. Felt like we were back home! It is so nice to know everything we need is in the condo waiting for us.
We made a choice to limit eating out this trip and the kitchen served us well for prepping all our meals. Costco has a great selection of pre-cooked proteins that made home cooking a breeze.
I think that a morning cup of coffee on the lanai overlooking the beautiful landscapes is the best part of the day - so peaceful and is a great way to start the day. Then off to check out the beach of the day…too many to choose from!
Neal is a wonderful host. Checks in to make sure all is well and is quick to respond to when needed.
It was really sad to leave even though we had 12 great days. Hopefully next time my brain functions better when packing to go home 😜.

Comfortable condo in ideal Location
This condo is updated and well appointed with every comfort you need. They even had beach chairs, coolers, umbrellas etc. to set you up for the beach!
This ideal Kihei location is across from Kamaole II Beach which was a wonderful place to swim, boogie board, and we even had several turtle sightings! A handful of restaurants are on the same block. Within a few minutes drive there are shops and more restaurants and beaches. We love the overall proximity of Kihei, not far from either Wailea or Lahaina and most adventures in Maui.
The staff was friendly and helpful. The owner exhibited superior hospitality and information. The complex has pools, BBQ areas, and tennis court. Everything is well maintained. Enjoy your stay here you won’t be disappointed, we highly recommend!
