Sea Star Palace | Pet Friendly, Pool, Beach Access
About this house rental
Situated in Palm Coast, this attractive house for £278 per night is a fantastic option for your next vacation. Vacation in sheer splendor at Sea Star Palace, our 5,000-square-foot custom-built home in Cinnamon Beach. It boasts 3 master suites, 2 balconies with ocean views, a patio, wet bar, huge HDTV, and a new private pool that will make you feel like royalty! Just yards from the sparkling Atlantic Ocean and coquina-shell sands of Cinnamon Beach, Sea Star Palace is located in an exclusive gated community with access to 2 swimming pools; a clubhouse with fitness center, game room, and snack bar; a children's water splash playground; a Jacuzzi; and private access to the beach. There's so much to do, you may find yourself curtailing some of your sightseeing to enjoy fun-filled days at "home"! Sea Star Palace is beautifully landscaped, a Mediterranean-style house in tones of peach. It contains 3 stories, with sweeping views of the Cinnamon Beach resort and partial ocean views on the 2nd and 3rd-floor balconies. You'll feel like you're on top of the world when you sit outside and survey the panoramic horizon! On the first floor, you'll find a big family room with a built-in wet bar as well as leather couches and homey Oriental rugs. Let the kids spread out their projects here, break out the board games, and get comfortable after a busy day out of doors. On the same level is one of the master suites, boasting a queen-size bed and sliding glass doors leading out to a lovely patio with seating and a table for casual dining. The master bath is palatial too, tempting you to linger late in the morning before rejoining the group! The 1st floor also has a 2nd bedroom with a queen bed. The second floor features the formal living room, with a 65-inch HDTV in the entertainment center with DirecTV and a package of over 500 channels, sink-right-in couches and chairs that encourage you to nap, and a long bank of sun-soaked windows. Just beyond this area are a table and chairs for informal dining, and you may have to turn that space into your computer area -- you have free wireless Internet at Sea Star Palace -- or break out the Monopoly and show no mercy! Next to the living room is the kitchen, a gourmet cook's dream of up-to-the-minute appliances, gadgets, and all the cookware and dishes you could ask for. The breakfast bar, set with stools, encourages helpers to come and keep the cook company. And the formal dining room is adjacent, a sun-drenched room with a table set for 8 beneath a modern chandelier. There is a master suite on this floor too, with a king-sized bed, an HDTV, and an en-suite bathroom. Slide back the glass doors and step onto the balcony, where you can see a strip of ocean and plenty of beautiful resort! The perfect place for stargazing, it also makes a lovely setting for that first cup of morning coffee. The third floor contains 2 more bedrooms: yet another master, this one with both a king and a queen sofa bed, wet bar, HDTV, and bathroom; and a smaller room with a queen-sized bed. A sleeper sofa brings the total bed space to 14, with plenty of privacy for multiple couples or families traveling together! Your favorite place at Sea Star Palace might just be the third-story balcony, with its sweeping views of the resort and peekaboo glimpses of the Atlantic Ocean! From up here you can smell the salty sea air, feel the balmy breezes, and survey the entire neighborhood. Magnificent! There are 5½ bathrooms in our house, and you'll find all the linens and towels you need waiting for you here, as well as a washer and dryer to keep everyone's togs clean. Spacious, immaculately clean, and beautifully decorated, Sea Star Palace is a house you'll want to explore throughout your vacation, discovering new favorite spots every day! Best of all, it's just a hop, skip, and jump from the beach, with its wide sands and sparkling waves. This is a great shelling beach, and it's also ideal for everything from surfing to sunbathing, boogie-boarding to bocce ball. Come and stay here very soon, and experience luxury living! Please note, the private pool is not heated and the spa is not heated. The community pool is heated. Please note, this property is a 1 week minimum and requires a Saturday arrival and a Saturday departure.

We loved the house. It is big and beautiful but the amenities left much to be desired. Everything from the 1 very thin toilet paper roll left in each bathroom to the cooking supplies. If you are planning to actually cook and stay in (we had to because of the weather) you may need to look somewhere else. For this price I expected more.

We had a great family vacation. House is large and easily accommodated everyone. It was cleaning the gated community was great. If the pool at the house was heated, would have been nicer. The week we went was on the cool side. My daughter would have black out curtains in the bedrooms. It was a great overall week.

The listing has conflicting information about the numbers of rooms and bathrooms. The homes does accomodate different families staying, but it was in need of SEVERAL updates. The appliances were terrible. The dishwasher would work, but the bottom rack is broken, the stovetop took forever to heat, the pots and pans provided are terrible and very limited. The internet had to be the slowest speed and you cannot offer only smart tvs in the bedrooms with slow internet. Not to mention, the tvs in the bedrooms are very small and hard to see from the bed. Directv needs to be updated and no ESPN. The downstairs smelled like mildew. There was water damage on the ceilings. The washer and dryer were too small for the size of the home and number of guests they are to accommodate. The house needs to be pressure washed and in need of repainting on the interior. You could tell it has not had a deep cleaning in quite some time. Also, there were roaches. Not palmetto bugs. Roaches. The downstairs master bath also had ants on the counter and in the shower. For the money paid to stay here, it was very disappointing that this home was in such bad shape and did not provide the basic things one expects in a vacation home. Will not stay here again.

Property manager not responsive to request to fix items. It was obvious there were outstanding repairs that needed addressing. Experience would have been better if there was better communication and they responded.

Stained dirty sheets in one of the bedrooms, ONE roll of toilet paper bathroom, no extra towels, and “neighbors” that don’t make you feel very welcome. While the location of the house is amazing, I’d say the minimum was done so this house could be rented out. Unless you’re planning on a stop at Costco or Sam’s Club before bringing the family, I’d recommend this place only for an emergency backup plan.

This property was great for our family who was vacationing. The pros are the decor, ample seating for everyone, plenty of space to spread out and even avoid each other if needed, the large TVs and fooseball table, and the short walk to the beach or club either way. The only negative experiences we had was the fridge must have been turned off before we arrived, so it took over a day to really cool down our food (downstairs fridge) and when it rained, water came through the downstairs windows. We also didn’t find quite enough kitchen accessories for us. There was one sheet plan, for example, but we needed to cook enough for 12 people, and we had to use the pan twice while making a meal, and we made a gallon of tea (pitcher was there) but it was too big to fit in the refrigerator. All told this house was very lovely though and our families have stayed in several of the areas homes, and this one was our of our favorites. It also seems that there is one very nice bedroom (king size bed with great bathrooms) and one smaller bedroom on each floor (queen beds but smaller rooms).

Family celebration
We took our children and grandchildren to Florida to celebrate our 40th anniversary. It was a wonderful week in such a nice house! Each family had a different floor so we were spread out a bit. Three king beds were very nice and each room had its own bathroom. The younger kids enjoyed the pool at the house. We felt very lucky to be in the gated community of Cinnamon Beach and took advantage of both pools. The grille and the splash pad were down for a time but the workout room and game rooms were used by the older grandchildren. A do-again vacation!!

Water pressure.
The location and cleanliness of the property were both good. However, we were very disappointed to realize the spa was not heated. This is mentioned in the description if you look carefully. Also, the third floor water pressure was very bad. If anyone else in the house uses a shower, you will have no water at all on the third floor. In a home this nice, we were very surprised to have such a basic issue.

Stayed the week prior to christmas- seemed to have the complex to ourselves - the condo was very nice - the beach was nice - the complex was nice - the location was central to Daytona and St Augustine allowing short drives to both which was nice - the only downside was the weather - it was cold for two days but we still enojoyed the many things in the area.

Beautiful home
We had a great time in this home there’s tons of space, beautiful decor, and great facilities in the home. However the home is in need of a few upgrades (fogged windows, cracked windows, nonworking outlets, broken blinds in master and stained carpets here and there) and there was a persistent roach issue including the presence of at least five dead roaches in different rooms when we first checked in. And a few while we were there.
We are a long time Floridians so we deal with bugs all the time but these roaches are clearly in need of more attention and will resolve with a persistent treatment of the home.
Also you have no access to the garage or the elevator. Fortunately for us the elevator was not essential but the trash situation and lack of access to the garage for parking was a pain and at this price. For ex: Re the trash, with no trash cans, (these even could’ve been placed at the back exterior of the home but alas ) it became stinky on the ground floor. When you accumulate food trash but have no trashcan/bin to put it in, you have to find somewhere to put it. We had to accumulate trash in the laundry room. Fortunately none of us were sleeping in the downstairs bedroom but if you have guests and you need to use each room it would make downstairs pretty unbearable.
But again great location and overall a great, large home with lots of nice spaces. Beautiful verandas and views of the lake. We even spotted otters one morning over coffee. Amazing! We will rent in this area again and there are few pet friendly rental homes. This is a great option. Trash cans, repairs, and bugs are totally fixable.
Note: one dealbreaker...Our check in process with VTrips was horrible. If I can pull it off, I won’t rent a home managed but VTrips again and I’ve been renting homes via HomeAway for a long long time. Had never considered that when searching rentals but now I will.

Christmas at Sea Star 2019
Overall we enjoyed this property. Good location. Plenty of room for everyone and adequate bedrooms/bathrooms so everyone could have some privacy. The property was relatively clean. We did not use the pool as the water was freezing and the bottom looked a bit slimy. WIFI did not work during our entire stay. The office sent someone to check but the owner had not given updated passwords and did not respond to multiple requests from the office to help us resolve the issue. It meant we had to pay additional money for data plans on our phones as many of us still had work and school to keep up With while away. Still waiting to find out if we will get some compensation for that.

Great for family vacations
Overall it was a great experience. There were some non-working smoke detectors that were never fixed even though they were promised to be fixed. Other than that the place just needed some minor repairs that didn't need to be done while we were there. I loved having all that space and pool out back. It was also very close to the community pool and the beach. I would highly recommend this place for families traveling together.

Dirty house, we had to clean it. I took pictures of the filthy bathroom doors and walls.
The single bedrooms only had sheets on the beds with no blankets. Our 3 children who slept in those rooms left with bed bugs! The house was dirty, we had to clean it before we unpacked. We took pictures of the disgusting filth slug on the bathroom walls and doors. The staircase was filthy. The house’s photos are not accurate. No hot water! If you took a shower it was a cold one. Roaches and mole crickets on the second floor. We will not be renting from Vtrips ever again!

Great for large groups!
Tons of space. Only one outside trash can and no broom-which doesn’t work so well with a large group.
AC unit started leaking through ceiling into kitchen during stay-service never came out. Rain was really bad one day and three windows started leaking lots of water inside. Definitely cockroaches and other large bugs on ground floor (see previous comments).
Still a great trip with great friends. Close to beach, house pool is small but nice, community pool is close and was a good option for larger group.

Nice House in great location.
Overall this was a great rental with a few small hiccups. First, location was great. Only a short walk to the community pools and the beach right behind that. The pool area is really nice and very well maintained. Exercise room was great, too. We enjoyed the beach a lot and it was nice but there were rocky areas that you had to be careful about. A local told us that was due to the past hurricane season. My advice would be to wait for low tide and see where the rocks are so you know the areas to avoid.
The house itself is in good shape and has plenty of space. A few small issues, the TV had no instructions and was very confusing to use. Once it was figured out the channel selection was poor. Also, a few of the rooms were showing some wear & tear. The home's pool is really small but with the community pools nearby not really an issue.
The local management company was readily available and answered our questions quickly.
Overall, this was a great spot. We had 10 people stay there and we all really enjoyed it.

Adequate space. Too many bugs. Leaking windows. One TV of 5 worked properly. Lights didn't work.
The space in the house was nice. Plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms. However, only one TV of five worked properly. The windows on the bottom floor all leaked terribly. When I called to report this, someone showed up with towels and took a picture. There were roaches everywhere and ants in the downstairs master shower. Lights didn't work in many places. It was especially difficult to do laundry in the dark. Overall we had a good time with family.

Great house for a group
We had ten women and really enjoyed the property and the space. The main pool/clubhouse and beach are all right around the corner so location was excellent! Plenty of bedrooms, bathrooms, communal space. Loved the decks overlooking the lake. Only criticism is that the kitchen essentials are not in good shape. One coffee pot broken. blender was broken, no real cutting boards just the tiny ones.....not enough pots and pans for a large group and NO BROOM! Yuk. We wanted to sweep. But all in all a great house and location. We would return. .

Pictures are misleading
We tried to check in early but we were told that the cleaning crew need this time to clean the house. So we waited until after 4PM to go to the house. The microwave oven was not clean as a matter of fact it looked like something has exploded in it. The pool water was cold the house needs some maintenance work. The second floor master bedroom closet door would not close and the window was broken (Frogs get really loud at night). The third floor master has light switches that do nothing or I should say the house has light switches that do nothing. We contacted guest services to tell them about the maintenance and cleaning issues. A woman from guest relations came to the house and took pictures of our issues and told us they would be fixed. The window was not fixed during our stay. The closet door was just removed. The microwave did get cleaned. We asked for additional toilet paper since there was only one roll per bathroom. When traveling with a large number of women you need more than one roll of toilet paper. We ended up buying our own toilet paper, paper towels, trash bags for the kitchen and dishwasher detergent. I am not sure how they expect a house of this size to get by on five trash bags and 1 roll of paper towels. We were told by someone from the main VRBO office to submit a receipt and they might reimburse us. Overall the home did not meet my expectations especially for the rental price. I would not recommend this house to anyone until the maintenance issues are fixed. I took several pictures of the problems but I am not sure if I can upload them. Oh and the air conditioning froze on the second floor because we had it set on 70 degrees, apparently it is better to keep it higher around 72. Believe me you need it at 70 degrees in Florida this time of the year. Other floor did not have any problems.

Sea Star Palace-December 2016 - Beware of very strict Homeowners association rules regarding PARKING
The home called Sea Star Palace is in a lovely location with a great lake view off the back decks. The rooms are all spacious and comfortable. Each of the 6 bedrooms has its own bath which makes it perfect for a large family overnight gathering. Twelve people can sleep comfortably as long as no one needs their own bed. My grown sons were happy to share a room but not a bed so they took turns sleeping on one of the several couches. Perhaps if one of the smaller bedrooms had 2 twins rather than one queen, it would be more suitable in this situation.
The issue that we dealt with had to do with the 4 cars that we needed since there were 12 of us coming from 4 different locations. The rental company insisted that we could only have 3 cars in the driveway even though 4 cars fit easily into the driveway AND there is documentation inside the home indicating that the homeowners association allows up to 4 cars if they can all fit in the driveway. When we arrived, the guard at the gate said that we could park in the street as long as we parked in the same direction as the flow of traffic. When we did that, both cars which had been parked in the street received a ticket by the van that cruises around looking for violators. As it turns out, only certain streets allow cars in the street and North Ocean Way is not one that allows street parking. We were forced to find off premise parking and the rental company suggested a hardware store somewhere outside the development where we would be charged $10 a night. We were not willing to do that. I received emails and phone calls asking that we move one of the cars. This caused a very stressful situation for me and my family and I'm not sure what the objective was. We wanted to follow the rules and were not looking for confrontation. Since our 4 cars fit easily in the driveway I still don't know what the issue was but we did find a place for the 4th car and parked it there to avoid an issue. We would have parked one in the garage but there is no garage access with this home. I never thought to ask about the garage before we rented it but it was locked and unavailable to renters. Another day we received another ticket on the windshield when one of the cars was partially on the sidewalk.
The 2 community pools were an easy walk around the corner and we preferred them rather than the house pool. The sliding door lock on the second floor deck was not working and that is the only item that was not working.

I'm being very generous
The outside of the home is beautiful! Actually most of the home is beautiful.
Lower level has a small bedroom to the left with either a queen or double bed. Also there's a full bathroom, laundry room and living area with two very large sectionals and a flat screen tv atop an electric fireplace. Large master bedroom on this level with private bath. The pool area is VERY small. There's also what appears to be a hot tub with room for 2-3 but it's not heated so it's more of a kiddy pool.
Go up a flight of steps to the kitchen. Keep this in mind when carrying luggage, coolers and groceries. That became tedious. Large kitchen but fridge wasn't very cold and dishwasher leaks. There's a small sample bottle of dish soap, so if you're staying long term bring more. As well as any paper products you may need (each bathroom has one roll of toilet paper), like paper plates, napkins, etc. there's a large sectional and flat screen tv as well as large dining table on this level. Balcony overlooks pond with 3 high top chars to sit on. There's a small bedroom (double or queen not sure) with a detached full bath and a large master bedroom on this level.
The third level has a bathroom and another room with double or queen. The master has a wet bar, sitting area with large tv and balcony. Nice room.
Keep in mind only one of the small bedrooms has a ceiling fan, otherwise there are no ceiling fans anywhere else in the home. Linens are limited so bring laundry soap to wash if desired. The tile when wet in the bathrooms is VERY slippery. The beach is a short walk and very nice. This home is suitable for large groups of people but bring supplies of staying longer than a weekend!

Sea Star Palace
The Sea Star Palace was a fabulous home in a great location that we all thoroughly enjoyed! The private pool was a favorite feature. We also enjoyed the large TVs, the closeness to the beach, and the beautiful scenery. We were surprised however at the absence of any basic cleaning tools like sponges, a vacuum, a broom, and a dustpan. We also had to go get a refill of the propane tank for the grill (costing us $21). Also the ventilation in the kitchen was inadequate considering. And there are no chairs for the upstairs balcony. Lastly the limit of three cars was an aggravation as we had to take our fourth car to a hardware store to park.

Great location and a great place to spend the week with family. Perfect distance from the beach and club house pool. Lots of room to stretch out and relax whether at the beach or the just staying at the house. The house was just as the pictures showed so no trick photography which was awesome. Several maintenance issues during the week, though we had regular communication going, it took 4 days to get some of the problems solved. The garage definitely needs to be available in case the breakers one had a key so we had one bedroom without power for 4 days. AC went out on the main floor the last day and they rallied on that one thankfully and it was fixed right away! The people of VRP were always great and very nice. Loved the fact that we didn't have to bring our own chairs and umbrella's to the beach! The pools were a great break from the sand and waves for our grand babies. Though we had the maintenance issues, the overall experience outweighed that and caused us to decide to book the same house again for next year. Looking forward to a great time again!

We rented the Sea Star Palace for a family vacation. We had a great view of the lake and we were one block from the beach, two pools (which included a kid's splash zone and a hot tub), a bar and grill, fitness center and game room. The house itself was very nice. The three master suites were very well appointed, and the beds were comfortable. The other two bedrooms were OK, but were not the same quality as the master suites. The house was spacious and had great amenities: 5 HDtvs, dvd player, loaded kitchen, multiple balconies, internet access, and laundry facilities. There were a few negatives, but they did not significantly impact our stay. First, the house was not ready at check-in. We arrived at 3 pm and the cleaning crew was in the middle of cleaning, (we were told the original cleaning crew did not show up), and the property was not spotless when they left. (The vacuum cleaner works poorly.) The cleaning staff was very apologetic and they moved as fast as they could to get the house ready. Second, the heavy rain we had one night resulted in some water intrusion through a window that was not properly sealed. When we reported it the next morning, I was surprised that no one immediately came out to investigate or to dry the carpet and the wall. We used towels to soak up the water and the wall and carpet dried on their own in less than 48 hours. I am not sure if anyone ever came out to look at it, but no one came to the house during the time we were in it. Otherwise, the property manager was very responsive to the minor issues we had. Very courteous and professional. Finally, it would have been nice to have access to the garage, but the key for it did not work. Overall, it was a great experience. The Sea Star Palace and the Ocean Hammock property is very family friendly and a great spot for a family vacation. Everyone in our group would do this again (8 adults and 7 kids), and we would highly recommend the Sea Star Palace and Ocean Hammock.

After traveling from 4 AM to 6:30 PM arrived to a home that had not been cleaned. However, by 9:30 they had done everything they could to make things right. The home was absolutely BEAUTIFUL and very comfortable. Plenty of room for everyone. The cleaning company and the property manager did everything they possible could to make things right. Very pleased with how they handled everything.
