Loved our unit at the Colony Villas! It was really comfy, clean and well equipped. The complex had 2 pools, gym and tennis courts. We used the kitchen which had great cookware and nice basics like oil and seasonings. It also had very nice beach equipment. Very nice shampoo and soap was provided, a detail we appreciated. The owners keep birdseed in the garage and we were able to enjoy breakfast every day with many birds feeding near our lanai. That was such a nice touch!
Management company was great. Communicated well and provided super clear instructions for smooth check in and out.
The only feedback we have is that the beds were too soft for us and the second bedroom gets hot during the day. Even still we would definitely stay here again.

This is our second stay in this unit. It is exceptionally well stocked! We found everything we needed and then some. Very clean and comfortable. The property as a whole is also quiet and very well maintained.

Perfect location for all the great beaches.. Condo was fully stocked with comfortable beds and cool decor.. Lots of beach toys.. Only thing we could of used were 2 more Tommy Bahama Chairs and bigger boogie boards if the waves were bigger.. Other than that perfect!

I really enjoyed unit 303 and can see myself downsizing eventually to a unit like this in retirement. Well furnished, fun decor, clean and good location in Waikoloa. I would stay again.

Very nice place in a great location
We very much enjoyed our stay in this comfortable home with great sunrise and sunset views.
Only issues were one had to push on the dryer door to get it to start and the dishwasher door rubbed on the one side so it took a little extra push to get it to close.
We did break blender jar while removing it to get to the Keurig. Our apologizes for that.
Our stay was pleasant and we would stay there again.

Great location, plenty of room and toys
This was our first time staying at the Colony and I have to say I love the fact the units aren't stacked like condos. Really felt very comfortable as far as location, room, features. A few things to remember there is a restriction for minimum temperature to 74. This unit had fans throughout the house so it made it more comfortable. However, we sleep very warm and this made it slightly uncomfortable. In addition, this specific unit had waterproof mattress covers that sounded like a garbage bag. Every time I turned I could hear the crinkle. Also the bed was super hard. The combination of the two made for hard nights to sleep comfortable. With the exception of the bed the rest of the unit was a great fit for our adventures!

My only complaint is the little, black insects in the bathroom and bedrooms upstairs. They seemed to get worse each day we were there.

Great Trip to the Waikaloa Resort Area
This is a lovely condo in a quiet area with easy access to amazing snorkeling sites. The furniture was comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked. We are picky about our bed and this was the only shortcoming.

Excellent stay in Waikoloa
We really enjoyed staying at this townhome. The location was fanstanstic and the unit is well maintained. The unit is centrally located near the shops and beach. We took the Kings trail to the Queen shops and another trail to black sand beach (fair warning that the hikes are over lava and can be hot). The townhome was well stocked with spices, which were great for cooking. We also took advantage of the beach toys, towels, chair and umbrella that were provided. We loved seeing a family of gecko's that lived near the unit. The master bedrom bed topper could be improved. Also, this is not the Owner's fault, but the rules for the pool incjuding the kids wading pool seem to be written by someone who only wants people to quietly nap at the pool. That said, we still spent alot of time enjoying the pool with our young kids.

Great gated condo community
Beautiful property in modern, well laid out complex. Condo is well appointed, clean and quiet. There is a pool and bbq just a few feet from the unit. The only knock is the thermostat is locked out to not go below 75F which can make it hard to sleep with small kids who aren't used to the heat. Otherwise 5 star all the way.

Long weekend getaway
Beautiful townhome & very well take care of. We are a family who vacations a lot, & over the years you realize what is important in a rental & this house has it all. Well appointed kitchen, close to the pool, comfortable beds & nice linens, Cable tv in the bedrooms, even black cosmetic facecloths in bathroom(ladies you know what I’m taking about), extra beach/pool towels. Loungers on the master deck were fantastic for morning coffee. Lastly house was spotless. Our baby played on the floor all weekend & never had to think twice.

Great place in Waikoloa
This is our 3rd time to the big Island and first time staying here. We really enjoyed our stay, the unit has a well equipped kitchen and everything you would need for relaxing at the beach (Chairs, umbrella, sand toys, plenty of towels, etc.). Another thing we really liked about Waikoloa Colony Villas in particular is that they are built like town-homes and have an upstairs/downstairs so you get a nice balcony off the master bedroom, a patio downstairs and they just feel more spacious. This also means you only have neighbors on either side of you (instead of above and below) which we found made for a very quiet stay. We would definitely stay here again and hope to be back soon!

Quite and relaxing
This townhouse was comfortable, clean, and relaxing. It had everything a family of 4 could possibly need. The pool was close by but I never heard anyone over there. The directions to get there are a little wonky but we found it easily. We let ourselves in with the code and never saw any neighbors, only golfers on the course. The rental agency checked in with me via email so they were available if we needed them.

Nice and huge townhome in Waikoloa colony villas, close to the pool and BBQ's and everything we needed was there. Perfect for a family of four and well maintained for a reasonnable price for the area. The 2 pools are beautiful and clean. We really appreciate to find a boogie board, beach toys and a cooler. We also appreciate the help of David, we could ask him some questions and he answered and helped us quickly.

JUST LOVE THIS VILLA !!
This is the second year in a row we stayed here at #303 for Thanksgiving and just loved we would like to make it an annual thing, We also liked the changes that was made with the new painting, the curtains in the masterroom , and putting two beds in the other room . We hope to stay here again when coming to the Waikaloa to visit our ohana in Waikaloa and Kamuela. THANKS AGAIN !! The KING ohana

The real proof of how pleased we were is in the fact that halfway through this stage we booked the same villa for four weeks next Februsry. Colony Villas as a whole has a great feel about it with two really good pools, a good gym and barbecue facilities. The opcondo was a truly elegant two story home with no one overhead and no noise from any where in the morning. All the necessary cooking amenities and then some are there for use. Previous renters may have complained about the air conditioning but that problem has now been solved though the motor seems to be labouring a bit. We did have a problem gaining entrance when we arrived because when advised to use the second. Hali Kai entrance we assumed incorrectly we should then be proceeding to the Hali Kai gate but that was our fault (Were we the only ones to do this.)bBut even then the problem was solved by a call to the property manager. But these trivial points notwithstanding it was a great stay and we look forward to our return next year.

Good location on Kohala Coast but wasn't happy that the owner decided AC shouldn't be lower than 73 degrees after initially agreeing to 72. AC doesn't cycle back on until temp goes up a couple of degrees so condo got too warm when cooking. Also the 2 steps down into LR were a tripping hazard. Other than that condo was fully equipped with all we needed for a great stay.

Good overall
This condo had everything we needed for the 2 weeks we stayed there. There were only a couple of issues we weren't happy about. When we booked we were told the AC couldn't be set below 72 degrees but the owner decided to change this to 73 degrees. This was a bit warm when using the stove since the AC delays a while before kicking back on.
Another problem is that the sunken living room is 2 steps down and the bottom step is the same wood as the flooring below it, so it isn't very visible. After I tripped and fell a couple of times we placed a temporary marker on the step to make it more visible.
Also the security gate didn't work almost daily. Either it was left open or it wouldn't open when exiting. Aside from these issues the place worked well for us and is a great location on the beautiful Kohala Coast.
