Queen bed, retro mini fridge and microwave, Mr. Coffee with coffee provided, cedar closet with luggage racks, and extra storage space. Deck with view of the 7 Sisters mountain range, great for soaking up rays or star gazing. Wi-fi, Smart TV with movie channels. Spacious bath with freestanding soaking tub and separate shower. We do have A/C. Walk to downtown Black Mountain where you will find quaint mountain shops, great restaurants, breweries and more. Lots of hiking trails closeby. 15 minutes to Asheville. We are dog friendly with full fencing.. Pet fee of $30. Firepit with wood provided.

Great, cozy lodging conveniently located close to downtown Black Mountain. Spotless. Small space, but set up perfectly to give you all the space you need for a home base. Roomy, updated bathroom with everything you could possibly need. Soaker tub is quite a bonus after a day of hiking. The views from the deck as well as inside are beautiful. Use of the fire pit was also a wonderful bonus. Host was gracious and thought of everything. Highly recommend.

This upper room was the coziest cutest little place ever. Mary was so kind and made sure we had everything we needed. If I ever come to this area again, booking a night or two here!

My experience during a weekend retreat was wonderful here. Extremely clean and organized, with the hostess having things completely thought through for me. Very generous and very comfy here. I will be coming back to enjoy another wonderful backyard view, fire, and walk to downtown Black Mountain!

Black Mountain is a charming mountain community with the nicest people. I have stayed in the Cozy Upper Room on four separate occasions over the last several years. Mary is a fantastic host. She is very accommodating and definitely goes the extra mile. I will continue to book this listing as long as it is available.

Just what we needed. Very quaint and cozy. Very close to downtown Black Mountain. Short drive to the Billy Graham Training Center where we were attending a seminar. Very much recommend to any and all looking for a quiet and peaceful get away.

This upper room in a lovely house has everything needed for a Black Mountain getaway. Owner gave my wife and I full privacy, but was very responsive when anything came up. Couldn't recommend this property enough!

We needed a quick escape from the SE Texas Heat. Found Marys place and booked it. The Host Mary is wonderful. The room was exactly as described. Comfortable bed, all appliances worked. Within walking distance to downtown. We came to explore Asheville and fell in love with Black Mountain.

We stopped for the night on a longer drive and wanted a smaller town to explore. Black Mnt. Was great and this place was perfect. Walkable to downtown, comfy bed, great linens. The AC was cold and the owners' dog very sweet. The price was very reasonable and much more privacy and comfort than a hotel. Highly recommend, 5 stars!

Enjoyed staying here. If you are looking for something simple with quality. This is the place to stay. It is within walking distance, 3-5 minute walk, to downtown Black Mountain. A lot of restaurants to chose from and shops to visit. Would recommend this place to anyone wanting to stay in Black Mountain.

It was a great stay in a comfortable and cozy room. Mary was so kind and accommodating. Nicely located with a short ride to Asheville. Close enough to Montreat to make a college visit. The dogs were so sweet and friendly. Can’t wait to return.

It is a cozy spot in Black mountain . The accommodations included a fridge, microwave and a bathroom with a soaking tub. It was comfortable and we had a view of the back yard and enjoyed greetings from their sweet puppies. We loved Black Mountain and will return to this cozy suite.

This property is ideally located in town and very comfortable. Though not large, it’s furnished with everything that you need. The bathroom has a beautiful deep tub for soaking as well as a shower. The owner was very responsive and friendly.

Thanks to Mary for being very responsive and hospitable during my stay. I was looking for a dog-friendly place since my pup came along. There’s a fenced in backyard and two friendly pups, and I know my somewhat antisocial dog enjoyed socializing! I saw her playing! The location is great for walking around town and seeing the cute local shops, I even walked to dinner with my dog. I think I slept better here than I do normally at home. I would come back. Thank you again!

Mary & Will - thanks for a fabulous weekend; our 3rd in the Cozy Upper Room. Everything was just as we remembered. Loved the seasonal decorations inside & out for the upcoming Thanksgiving holiday. Taz did her usual great job greeting us when we arrived. So glad we got to meet sweet Ottie; hope he's feeling better!

Mary & Will’s place was really a great place for us to stay while attending a week long conference in Asheville at the Cove/BGA and hiking with our dog between sessions. While away Mary graciously offered to let our dog out to play with her two dogs, our dog (smaller breed) really enjoyed playing with their young pup! The evenings were peaceful (after we got accustomed to nuts hitting our roof from a nearby tree that wed initially mistaken for a bear🙃). and the bed comfy. We would love to return sometime! Great hosts!!!

Adorable little apartment within walking distance to downtown Black Mountain. I loved getting up every morning and walking my pups to The Dripolator for a coffee - then sitting out on the patio overlooking gardens and mountains. Mary was beyond amazing and was very flexible that I brought my two dogs with me. She has two adorable pups herself. This will definitely be my go to place every time I visit.

Mary was so kind and easy to communicate with. It felt like staying with family. Their pup Taz was a wonderful playmate for our little Gemma as well. Taz is so sweet and well behaved. The pictures do not do this place justice either. The bathroom was like a spa! Love their firepit and the location is unbeatable. We will definitely have to come back!

The property is lovely and well cared for and was within walking distance to all I needed so I didn't have to rent a car. I stayed 11 nights and Mary went out of her way to make sure I had everything I needed from the moment I wrote with questions before reserving to the very last day. The mattress was the best!! (I like a firm mattress) A friend joined me for 2 nights and agreed. The shower is awesome. Overall an excellent stay.

My husband and I have stayed in Bkack Mountain many times, and this was by far our best experience! The space was clean, well equipped, close to town, and even prettier in person! Our hosts were friendly and our dogs got to play in the yard for a bit. Their dog Taz is such a sweet girl, and our Otis loved socializing with her. Thank you for a wonderful experience! We'll be back!

This property was very clean, neat, nicely decorated and refreshing! SO much better than going to a hotel. The neighborhood was quite and friendly. Our host was very informative and respectful of privacy. We really enjoyed visits from the host doggie also, Taz was very sweet! We will definately stay there again.
