About this house rental
Nestled in Garden City, this attractive house for £285 per night is a fantastic option for your next break. "PAUSE AT THE PIER" is a NON-SMOKING HOME. Dogs (2 maximum) are Welcome with prior approval. This is a new home, with 2 KING Bedrooms, 1 Bunk room and 2- 1/2 Baths. House linens included. (Bed sheets, towels, washcloths). (Beach towels are NOT provided) Enjoy Oceanside living in Family oriented Garden City Beach! Vacation in luxury in this Newly built, beautiful home with Ocean views from the covered deck, and walk less than 400 feet to direct beach access. The Garden City Pier, Arcades, Family entertainment, Shopping, and Dining are all just steps away from the home, one block away. The home features Granite counter tops in the fully equipped Kitchen, plenty of cabinet space for your grocery supplies, and a commercial ice machine for your vacation beverages. There is seating for up to 11 people at the open dining area and counter-height bar. The living area will seat all your guests, and features a 55 inch HD TV, Blu-ray player, Blue-Tooth Sony Stereo system, and High speed internet service throughout the home. All three bedrooms have 32 inch Flat screen TV's, and large closets/storage space for all your vacation needs. There are Granite counter tops in all three Bathrooms, and storage in each vanity. One Master bedroom features a luxury walk-in shower. The other Master Bedroom and the bunk room share a Full Bathroom with tub/shower. Both king size bedrooms have remote controlled ceiling fans and lighting. The fully equipped laundry room includes full size washer/dryer, storage for your supplies, Iron, Ironing board, and Drying rack. The Pool is directly across from the home on a private drive. This home is one of thirteen in a private development, with a private pool for owners and their guests only. The ottomans in the living room fold out to provide sleeping space for two more children. Luxury floors throughout the home, granite counter tops, stainless steel appliances, and a fully equipped kitchen, (including an automatic fresh ice machine) will lend a "resort" feel to your vacation. The lockable storage below the home has beach chairs, pool and beach toys, body boards, and a Weber gas grill for your use. The covered deck will provide a great perch to people watch as you relax with your favorite beverage. Private parking below house will accommodate 3 standard vehicles. There is an outside shower for your use to rinse the sand from your toes as you return from the beach. The KEYLESS ENTRY door eliminates the need to carry keys with you as you travel to the beach and pool. This is a NON SMOKING HOME. No smoking is permitted in the home, or on the deck. We had a great week at the beach. Weather could not have been more perfect. We thoroughly enjoyed the house and all of the amenities that were provided.

This is a lovely, clean beach house right in the center of town. It is only one block from the beach. Mr. Wenneman was extremely considerate and responded to any questions promptly. The shared pooled is very well maintained and was great for my youngest child.
If there is anything negative to say, it would only be that the beach was extremely crowded. It is right in the center of town and some of the teens of Friday and Saturday night were a bit loud and obnoxious-but you can get that anywhere.
All in all, we were very pleased and completely enjoyed our stay and all the restaurants the owner suggested to us. We would come back again!

If this home is available for your dates of travel, stop looking and BOOK IT! The home is beautiful and thoughtfully decorated, perfectly stocked with all you need, very comfortable beds, and just one block from the pier and beach. We loved people watching from the deck, enjoyed the beach at day and walking the pier at night listening to bands. Kids loved fishing from pier all hours of the day. Thomas was a pleasure to work with. Wonderful!

Vacation Perfection!
Thomas offers a great vacation experience! I’ve stayed in a lot of beach homes and this is the best stocked one I’ve ever stayed in. It was nice not to have to run out every day for odds and ends! The home is beautiful, clean, and just steps to the beach! Location is great too within walking distance to the pier, mini grocery, diner, and ice cream! Book it! You won’t be disappointed ! I’ll be coming back to this one myself.

We had a great stay. Thomas was a great host. The home is well organized and maintained. The beds were very comfortable. Loved using the grill and sitting on the porch.

Lovely beach rental
We really enjoyed staying at this rental! The location is amazing for Murrell's inlet marsh walk, Garden city pier and the short walk to the beach is so convenient. We would definitely stay here again! Thomas is very kind and helpful!

The CLEANEST place I have stayed

Beautiful home - close to the beach.
The house is stunning!! The beds were perfect! The owner thought of everything down to bowls for the dog and umbrellas if you need them. Kitchen is very well equipped! Not a lot of properties allow you to bring your pets and you would never guess this one did! No signs that there was ever a pet in the house!
If I had any complaint at all - it would be that the owner met us at the door which made me feel like he didn't trust that we were honest in our reservation. With that being said - I can understand and appreciate it because it truly is a fabulous house and he is just taking care of his investment.

Fun Family Vacation Spot
We had a wonderful stay at Pause at the Pier in August 2020. Communication and responsiveness from the owner before and during our stay was the best we've ever had. The owner greeted us there and walked through the property with us. There were helpful labels throughout the entire property, which made it super easy to find things. One night we had trouble with the propane tank on the grill and the owner was there within minutes with a new tank.
We vacationed here with our son and his wife, and their 3 kids. The home was beautifully decorated and was equipped with everything you could possibly need. Sand toys, Boogie boards, 2 wagons, lots of beach chairs, and bikes. Be sure to be extra vigilant about locking up the storage room, even when you are at the property. We rarely used the TVs the entire week because the beach was so much fun. The ice maker was a wonderful extra and we used it constantly.
The location in terms of proximity to the beach was great. We loved being able to walk to the Garden City Pier and visited there daily to look for sharks (you can see them best at night under the pier), have a drink or two, and the kids loved the Italian Ice stand there.
The view from the porch of the home was not ideal, as it overlooked public parking for beach visitors. This sometimes got very loud at night, with people parking to head to the bar on the pier and some unruly teenagers. However, the area was well-patrolled and felt very safe.
