The Bernhards Bay Manor House was a very comfortable house for our large extended family. The house and grounds were clean and well-maintained. Our host was friendly and very gracious. We will stay at the Manor House again next time we're in the Oneida Lake area.

Very private, expansive property and a beautiful view.
Home is quite dated, but clean.
The beds were uncomfortable and alot of stairs if you have small children and/or older people with health issues. Backyard and patio is perfect for bonfires and gatherings.

This home is like a mansion on a hilltop, with beautiful trees on the property and a beautiful lake view in front. We had nightly firepits with good conversation and marshmallows, daily excursions over gorgeous countryside, and a peaceful spot to relax if that's all we wanted to do. We even had daily visits from a great blue heron and a bald eagle!

The pictures don't do the actual property justice. It's actually much larger than it appears on the site. So much space for family and friends. It has everything you need inside and out.

While looking for a new location for our group fishing club, I lucked upon this property. There are 7 of us with two vehicles and three trucks with boats & trailers. While dealing with Claudia to ensure this property would accommodate our needs, I found her to be very rapid and friendly with responses to my questions so we booked it.
Upon arriving for our stay, we found a warm environment fulfilling all our needs which is no easy task. What few questions we had concerning this property were handled promptly, addressing them completely. Overall we could not have asked more from this property or Claudia.

Stayed at this property for our daughter’s graduation from Syracuse university. About 30 minutes away. Loved the property. Clear directions and commutative host. Accommodated all our family members. Shopping not close so you have to plan. We planned well ahead and everything was smooth. Overall wonderful!!!

We wanted a family vacation to relax and got just that. The home was large enough for all of us to relax. The sunroom was our favorite place. We relaxed around the fire at night. Sylvan beach was a short drive amd there was a cute winery right down the road. Close enough to enjoy some Dinosaur BBQ for dinner. The hosts were very quick to respond to any concerns. Would definitely recommend.

This property was exactly what we were hoping for and more when we booked it. We have an annual ice fishing trip to Oneida lake with family and friends and this property was a perfect choice. Heated floors when you walk in the back door and plenty of room in the basement to hang all of our gear when returning from the frozen lake. The house had an amazing layout of rooms to accommodate our large group with the space for several activities for all, 2 places to play games with another room for the television watchers.
To add to the functionality of the house the ambience of the amazing woodwork, the staircase, the fireplace, great views and accessibility to the lake made for a memorable trip. We all highly recommend this property.

This property was exactly what we were hoping for and more when we booked it. We have an annual ice fishing trip to Oneida lake with family and friends and this property was a perfect choice. Heated floors when you walk in the back door and plenty of room in the basement to hang all of our gear when returning from the frozen lake. The house had an amazing layout of rooms to accommodate our large group with the space for several activities for all, 2 places to play games with another room for the television watchers.

Perfect
We had a fantastic time at the property. It was super clean and had a very home feeling. Easy access to the lake for fishing and we were able to but fish on the ice. Check in process was smooth and there was directions on how to do and work everything! I would totally recommend this property to anyone.

I rented the house for a family reunion and it did not disappoint. Everyone had plenty of room to spread out and we all ate together in the large dining room. The bottle of NYS wine that greeted us was very nice.
All in all, it was a perfect stay ❤️

Beds were comfy, there was so much room! The sun room was perfect for watching the sunset and morning coffee and view of the lake. The dock, however was disappointing and really couldn’t be used. It was too wobbly and filled with goose poop. But that was ok because there are several beaches and boat launches close by. I was sad that the Flag was not flying like the photo had shown. All things considered, it’s a gorgeous home, owners were super nice, there were plenty of fun things to do for all ages. We very much enjoyed our stay!

My family had a wonderful time at this beautiful vintage home facing one of the largest lakes I’ve ever seen. The home was maintained very well outside, plenty of lawn furniture and an awesome fire pit and grill. The home was stocked to the brim with bedding, towels and everything you need in the kitchen. Beds were comfy, there was so much room! The sun room was perfect for watching the sunset and morning coffee and view of the lake. The dock, however was disappointing and really couldn’t be used. It was too wobbly and filled with goose poop. But that was ok because there are several beaches and boat launches close by. I was sad that the Flag was not flying like the photo had shown. All things considered, it’s a gorgeous home, owners were super nice, there were plenty of fun things to do for all ages. We very much enjoyed our stay!

For the money definitely NOT what you'd expect. The outdoor furniture was filthy. She sent someone to clean it. Outside garbage cans was overflowed and had a terrible odor. The house is older than you think. Refrigerator door water and ice dispenser not working. Dishwasher is very old and didn't clean dishes. Garbage disposal flappers damaged so food would fly around when used and it was very noisy. Had to go to other unit to get garbage bags. Stairs were not very wide and creaked extremely. You would wake someone, if you had to use them at night. The tub area in main bathroom on second floor was full of mold. Towels were old and worn. The previous occupants used all the good ones leaving the old ones for us. Dryer was full of towels (told not for our use) and had to be removed so we could use the appliance. Very dirty under the couch in living room. Toilet overflowed causing a real mess. We were expected to strip the beds upon departure and take the garbage to the street. I asked for some kind of compensation and was told "no". Like I said for a lot less money our expectations would have been different.
