Situated in Longboat Key, this charming condo for £172 per night is a fantastic choice for your next break. Come enjoy this beautiful beachfront condo! Completely renovated and updated,, this condo is located at the desirable north end of Longboat Key on one of the most beautiful beaches on the West Coast: white sand, shells, no crowds. The complex has only 64 units in four, 2-storey buildings; all units have their own private outside entrance. This unit is on the second floor where the ocean views are spectacular, including gorgeous sunsets. The condo is done in soothing beach colors (light yellow, blue, white and coral). The living area and master have mirrored walls, enhancing the views, and both open onto a large screened lanai. The living area has a queen sleeper sofa, love seat, chair and ottoman. There is a large TV with DVD. The dining has a table that will seat 10 and a buffet/server. There is colorful art throughout. The kitchen opens onto the dining area to give a light, open feeling. There is a small den off the kitchen with a full-size sleeper sofa and a closet with washer and dryer. Completely furbished, the kitchen has service for 12, many serving dishes and extra appliances including a Keurig coffee maker and an electric wok. The master suite has a king bed, dresser and a flat screen TV. Open the sliding doors to listen to the ocean, or close the room-darkening blinds if you want to sleep late. There are both a dressing area and a bathroom with shower off the master suite as well as a walk-in closet. New cabinets and granite counters can be found in both bathrooms. The second bedroom has twin beds, a single sleeper chair, a flat screen TV and its own complete bath. The beachfront pool can be accessed from the beach or the parking area and there are 2 tennis courts across the street for the exclusive use by Cedars West residents and guests. A barbeque grill is available on site. (Please note that the Cedars West Condominium Association does not permit rentals for fewer than TWO WEEKS). Longboat Key is close to both Bradenton and Sarasota, one of the cultural centers of the West Coast. Activities abound for everyone. Nearby are fine and casual dining, golf, parasailing, diving, kayaking, theater, movies, opera, night life. Kids can have fun at Jungle Gardens, Mote Marine or playing miniature golf. Go deep sea fishing and cook your catch in your own kitchen. Plan a morning shopping in the upscale shops on St Armand's Circle and have lunch at the Columbia or another of St Armand's fine restaurants. Rent a bike or take the free trolley up to Bradenton Beach to have a beachfront meal. This is the place for you if you are looking for a relaxing and fun stay at the beach. Carol's condo was beautiful with a view of the ocean, and fully stocked for everything a family would need for two weeks on Longboat! We have never stayed in a unit where every appliance and every utensil you could ever imagine was there and in perfect condition. Thanks for everything Carol.

The location was excellent in that it was quiet and less congested on the beach. The lanai had a wonderful sea breeze that msde it such a pleasure to sit out there and enjoy the gulf view.

My wife and I had a fun 2 weeks at this Longboat Key condo. First, our hostess Carol was wonderful. She was very responsive and friendly. It was our first time on Longboat Key, and the info she provided about restaurants and activities was very helpful. It was clear why she is a Premier Hostess!
The condo itself is in a great location at roughly mid-Island (or mid-Key!). We had beautiful sunsets and the condo is right on the beach, so we enjoyed many long walks on the shore. We also spent some time at the heated pool, even enjoying a dip in the water on a couple of the warmer days.
The condo is in walking distance to Harry's, which we really enjoyed and found very convenient. Harry has a small grocery store, a fabulous restaurant and a gourmet shop - - we made use of all 3. Harry's is one of the top restaurants on the Longboat Key. If you want to eat back at the condo but not cook from scratch, they have wonderful gourmet take out (as well as deli items) at the Gourmet shop.
The condo itself has plenty of room and was very comfortable. The kitchen was well appointed with everything we needed to make breakfast and lunch, and a couple of dinners on the few nights we didn't go out. The Lanai is spacious number of cushioned chairs.
The internet connection worked great for some business meetings and it was easy to use the TV to access Netflix etc.
It was a fun 2 weeks and we would stay there again the next time we're in Longboat Key.

We stayed at Carols condo in December 2021 had such a great experience we booked again 2022 and increased a week.. This condo is a great location in walking distance to several delicious restaurants, bike rental store, etc… would book again in the future.

First time in longboat key for Xmas and new yrs, I was looking for nice location , small complex. Weather was great , location was walking distance to several restaurants. Carol , the owner answered any questions and had a beautiful condo.

The condo is great and well-maintained. It’s more spacious than it appears on the pictures. We liked the kitchen, dining room, and a screened porch. The location is perfect for those who like to avoid crowds, especially in this situation. Access to the beach is private and there are only a few people (residents) on the beach. A very peaceful and pleasant place to stay.
This is a wonderful condo. We usually come to Longboat Key for 2 or 3 months. This year we stayed in March and April. This the best condo we ever stayed at on Longboat Key. It was very clean, spacious, well furnished and just a very bright and cheerful place with a great view of the Gulf from the well appointed lanai. We will definitely return.

Met all our expectations and then some.
Our two week stay in this condo at Cedars West was delightful. The unit is comfortable and extremely well equipped. We drove, so I took many things with us; many we did not need. The beds are comfy, the lanai is great, the sunsets spectacular and the ice maker is beyond adequate, ( a big deal for us) Everything is easily accessible from the location, north or south. There are many delightful places to eat and enjoy close by. The landscaping and maintenance at Cedars West is lovely, so well manicured. Peaceful, quiet, safe & secure, endless beach and so private. We also have been vacationing in the Sarasota area for 25 years. This is the best acomodations we've ever had. We definitely intend to go again.

we have been vacationing on LBK for over 25 years and this condo was by far the best unit we have rented. The unit is tastefully decorated and was well stocked. We loved the lay out, the view, and the complex location. We are tennis players and bikers and LBK is a perfect spot for both. The beach can't be beat!

Peaceful location and the well appointed, clean well equipped Apartment. Also the excellent heated Swimming Pool AND the proximity of the Beach.
WOULD WE RECOMMEND OR RETURN?
Yes we would be pleased to return in the future should our Travels take us to the LBK area. We would have little hesitation in recommending the Apartment to friends and relatives.
LOCAL RESTAURANTS
Greatly enjoyed the food at Harry's Continental Kitchen which is also very much more attractive inside for Dinner than one might expect from the outside. We also sampled Euphemia Hayes which was excellent albeit more expensive. We also sampled a few further afield Restaurants both for dinner and lunch and we were not disappointed - the choice is plentiful.
SUITABILITY FOR OUR NEEDS
As my wife was - prior and initially - suffering from a sore lower back - the very comfortable King Sized Bed and peaceful nature of the Apartment location assisted greatly in completing a recuperation for her and the 2 week stay at Cedars West was just what we needed!
SERVICE FROM THE OWNER
Carol,was most helpful when Booking and with the Key Arrangements at the start and finish. Carol,has also prepared a comprehensive Owners Guide which she e-mails ahead of the visit and leaves in book form at the Apartment together with the Local Condo Rules - most helpful. Carol proved to be most flexible and diligent throughout.

Wonderful stay!
We had a wonderful time on Longboat Key and were very pleased with this condo! The beds are very comfortable and the views from the master and living room were beautiful! The blackout blinds made it very easy to sleep in on the days we wanted to be lazy. Evenings were spent on the screened porch (very comfy furniture) listening to the waves and watching the sun set.
I usually clean upon arrival, but there was no need as this home was very clean and well organized. The kitchen is well equipped for cooking and it was wonderful having a washer and dryer in the unit! You will love the layout as well. I would definitely recommend this condo!

This condo had everything!...a view, white sand , clear gulf water. It was fully equipped with everything you could need- beach chairs, umbrella, sand toys etc. You could not ask for more.

Carol was great at answering my questions and reassuring me that the property had everything we needed, as this was my first time in using VRBO. I would highly recommend this property for families and couples. We saw manatees, dolphins and stingrays!!

Perfect location and property accomodations for a week in Florida, the only thing negative was not being able to stay several more weeks. Comfortable beds, well equiped, very clean and views to die for. Location couldn't be better on Longboat key with everything close but also with a private and quiet feeling atmosphere. Walk directly to the beach and enjoy a fantastic day in the sun and water. The pool water temperature was not short of perfect. I would recommend this property to anyone. LOVELY LIVING ON LONGBOAT
More than words, we offer the best reference – we extended our stay when we had the chance! More time here, at this extremely comfortable, convenient, crisply furnished condo was just what we wanted. It’s a little sanctuary overlooking a garden and the Gulf, but close to all the amenities of St. Armand’s - dining and shopping - as well as great restaurants and cultural offerings in Sarasota. Cedars West is also near Harry’s Market/Deli/Restaurant, a nature preserve, and a brand new Publix -- all on the island. You’d surely enjoy your stay here.

Cedars West Vacation
My family and I highly recommend this lovely property. Indeed, it is newly renovated with upscale granite in the kitchen and bathrooms, new appliances and bamboo flooring, updated furniture, and was well appointed. We spent 5 weeks there and enjoyed each sunrise and sunset, either on the beach or from the unit's lanai facing the Gulf of Mexico. The listing description was accurate and the photos didn't truly give you the full benefit of how lovely the unit is. The unit was spotless when we arrived and contained all the amentities of your own home. The owner was extremely helpful and provided all the pertinent information required to comfortably settle in and focus on the beauty of Longboat Key,Sarasota and surrounding areas. Depending on the time of the year you visit, we enjoyed the Sarasota Chalk Festival, several Fall Festivals, and most of all, took full advantage of the miles of while sand with lots of sun, fishing, biking, walking, tennis and partaking any many delicious meals prepared by the multitude of local restaurants. Only a five minute walk from the condo, is a wildlife preserve which offers walking trails in which you can see many native birds, flowers, crabs, fish and enjoy being outdoors. We enjoyed the Starfish Restaurant, Fire and Stone Pizza, Lazy Lobster and Dockside for a yummy grouper sandwich.
As my husband and I love to fish, bike and play tennis - we were very content. Cedars West is an attactive property with direct access to the beach and a nice heated pool to enjoy if you like a diversion. A truly relaxing vacation.

Two Retirees
We spent several weeks in this very nice 2nd floor unit. The decor is fresh and beachy. The kitchen is well-equipped, with plenty of ice available from the in-the-door refrig dispenser. It is helpful to have a washer and dryer in the unit! The comfortable chairs, on the screened lanai, provide a great place to relax and view the ocean. The north end of Longboat Key never seems crowded. There are many options for activities in the Sarasota area, including great restaurants. We are looking forward to a future stay in this condo!

Perfect Getaway
This place was great. We went down with some friends and really enjoyed ourselves. The condo looked brand new. From the appliances to the furniture, everything was top notch. My wife really loved that you can see the ocean from the living room.
It had great beach access. We really liked that the beach was clean and not over crowded. While we were there, we went to visit the Mote Marine aquarium/laboratory and St. Armonds Circle.
We are looking forward to our next chance to visit Cedars West!
