Located in Chikaming Township, this lovely cottage for £326 per night is a great choice for your next vacation. 4 Bedrooms, 3 Baths, Sleeps 10 2024 Calendar OPEN! As the name implies, Sunnyside Cottage is a bright and cheery cottage in the heart of Lakeside. The newly renovated cottage has been completely refinished, to include a very open concept, consisting of the living area, dining and kitchen. The décor has been updated throughout. The home features 3 bathrooms and 4+ bedrooms, all on one floor. Bedroom one features a queen bed and ensuite bathroom, bedroom two is a queen, bedroom 3 has twin bunk beds, bedroom 4 has a twin and a full, plus there is a small den/bedroom with a twin daybed. Gorgeous kitchen with quartz countertops, living room with a wood burning fireplace. Additionally, there is a lovely front porch, outdoor shower, and private 5-person hot tub (open year-round!). Located in Lakeside, 2 blocks to the private Orchard Beach access. Now with new outdoor firepit! **All Guests required to sign and return our Guest Occupancy Agreement. **Minimum age of 25 years old to rent. **Maximum three car parking.

There’s clean, and there’s REALLY clean. This place was really clean!! I’ve stayed in this area 10 or more times and this maybe the best so far. Very short walk to beach, board games, beach toys, hot tub, fireplace! Perfect for my wife, our 3 kids and myself! They even provided firewood!! Will definitely go back! Thanks for the memories!!!

Omg you guys. This place was amazing. The kids toys and games that were provided, towels for bath and beach, wagon for beach stuff, beach toys, chairs (that you can just strap to your back for the walk to the beach), EVERYTHING you could possibly need. And it was IMMACULATE. Plenty of room for the 5 of us, and could’ve easily added another 4 with plenty of space. Couldn’t recommend this enough!
There is a place close by where you can rent umbrellas, etc for the beach and the pick up is literally a mile from the house and everyone there was wonderful, too! (Sobbing joyfully)

This property was perfect for our annual girls' weekend get-away. This was the first time for this group to stay in MI but it did not disappoint. The location of this house was close to MI City outlet mall shopping and great wineries, distilleries, restaurants and tap rooms. The house was clean upon arrival and stocked with all the amenities we needed for the weekend. Despite the weather, we walked to the beach which was close by. The hot tub was perfect for a chilly evening, with the wood burning fireplace another cozy spot to hang out and catch up. We would definitely recommend this property.

Highly recommend this beautiful, spacious, immaculate home! Plenty of room for our family. Loved the open living room/kitchen area and 2 bedrooms and bathrooms on each side of home. Short walk to very nice beach. Easy drive to many area restaurants. House had everything you could possibly need for the week. Beach towels, wagon and plenty of beach chairs was a great bonus. Management was so easy to work with—thank you for a perfect summer vacation.

Things are overgrown and it makes the area seem unkept. I don't believe this has anything to do with the management company of course. I'm sure the city of Lakeside is responsible for that. It would be nice if they could fix it, since that's your first impression as you arrive at the house. This was our first visit to Michigan and we look forward to exploring even more of this beautiful state!

Great weekend getaway
Our group was me and my wife, our kids and 3 ofm y sisters. There was plenty of room for everyone. The house was great and I can only imagine how beautiful the area is in the summer. (we visited during a snow storm and it was still fun!)

Michigan Memories
Sunnyside Cottage was the perfect place for our family to spend Thanksgiving. From the well-appointed kitchen to the cozy fireplace, our family was able to spend time together playing games, watching movies, and walking the beach for amazing sunsets. Everything about Sunnyside made the long weekend fun for everyone, whether it was time spent in the hot tub, reading a book by the fire, or playing cards at the large dining table. And at the end of the day, we were able to retreat to our rooms and get a great night's sleep. Thank you for helping us make great memories!

Amazing little beach cottage!
The sunnyside cottage was the perfect place to spend a long weekend with our group of friends. The house was fully stocked and spacious and had awesome extra amenities like a hot tub, outdoor shower, huge front porch with swing, and an indoor wood burning fireplace. The house was definitely clean and well stocked with most of the necessary home stuff like beach supplies, games and books, dishes and cooking supplies, but make sure you bring tupperware, oil, spices and coffee as you would with most vacation rentals. If I had any complaint, the beds/pillows/sheets didn't match the quality of what would be expected judging by the rest of the house, but I always bring my own pillows anyway so I got by. What made the place really worth returning to is the access to the private beach! It's a couple minute walk past some really cool houses to get to a private, quiet beach with gorgeous sand and blue water. We also went to Warren Dunes and instantly regretted it because it wasn't as nice as our little private beach (private meaning just for neighborhood/association use, there were always a couple other families around but it was never crowded). Overall, it was a special, quiet and peaceful place and definitely worth another trip someday!

Amazing Lake Vacay!
My family (adults and children (1-6 yr old) were very happy with our stay at Sunnyside Cottage! The house was very clean and well stocked with everything needed for a great week.
Highlights:
BEACH
Easy short walk to the beach. There are some stairs but nothing we couldn’t handle. We brought a wagon and used that to haul beach stuff and the one year old.
The beach is beautiful. It’s set between two private beaches. Most of the days we had enough space for social distancing.

My girls loved the front porch swing and the swings in the back yard.

Property was clean, well stocked, easy to enter; great porch with lots of chairs. Plenty of seasoned wood for fires. Hot tub was delightful, serviced once while we were there. Super kitchen and big table for family to gather. Only glitch, due to crazy COVID, couldn't access beach stuff in the 'playhouse'. Easy walk to beach. Would HIGHLY recommend

Perfect setting for a girls weekend!
Stayed here as part of a group of 7 best friends, and we had a fantastic experience!! The hose was so amazing and very well appointed that we wound up spending most of our time enjoying hanging out around the house or exploring the quiet nearby beach and peaceful neighborhood! We are already scheming how we can make a stay at this adorable cottage happen again next year! Can’t recommend this place highly enough.

Comfort, Convenience, and Quality Lodging and Location
Two families (4 adults and 4 children) stayed a week at the Sunnyside Cottage. We loved everything about our accommodations. As advertised, it was sunny and open in the main living area. All rooms were modern and recently remodeled. The location was prime for visits to New Buffalo, Warren Dunes beach, and St. Joe's. The private beach was nearby and easily accessible.
I highly recommend and would stay there again on a future trip to the area.

Beautiful and clean vacation cottage!
We loved our trip to Lakeside and Sunnyside Cottage! The cottage was airy and spacious, clean, updated and had everything we needed for a wonderful week! The walk to the beach was three short blocks, a little far for toddler legs... but the wagon provided in the playhouse was a great way to haul everyone back after a long day of swimming and sand castle building! Thanks for sharing your home with us!

Beautiful place to stay.
This property was perfect. The house was immaculate. The kitchen was to die for and the openness to the living area was perfect. Beds were very comfortable. Walks in the neighborhood we’re very enjoyable. The walk to the very nice beach was easy even for us elderly grandparents. Quite a bit of driving for groceries or any other stores. Nothing much available nearby.
