Lovely place outside of busy downtown Stockholm but close enough to walk to the old town

Beautiful nordic style rooms, modern clean bathroom with daylight, comfy beds, working AC unit, filled minibar... lovely surroundings with a short walk to the city center. Also they rent out bikes for free (first come, first serve for the day).

The music from the bar/restaurant was a bit too loud, especially with the windows of the rooms facing the open bar area. Fortunately they did close down at 11pm. But after along day of traveling, I would have loved a bit less bass in my room.

Best of Both Worlds --> Nature and City close, but not too close

Close enough to the city, but far away to feel relaxing. A proverbial stone-throw away from "Embassy Residence Row", which was a delight to walk past on the way to town. Loved the old world charm of the Hotel. Took me back to happy young days.

Scandi hotels can perhaps explore a coffee and tea station in the rooms. Appears to be a general exclusion.

A hotel that could be so much more!

The best aspect of this hotel is its location. It is situated in a very upmarket open green area of Stockholm, cheek by jowl with the Djurgarden Island, with all it parklands and multiple museums.

The facility is a very old one, and its age is showing all too obviously. We had room 7 which is a better grade of room than the standard room. All interior fabric features were dated and tired. Showers are powerful and do provide hot water, but one has to stand in the metal bath to have your shower. There was no kettle or tea making facilities in the room till the matter was raised on the final day of our stay, and a bespoke tray of tea making ingredients and a kettle was brought in. There is no phone in the room to contact the reception. The bedroom itself is quite a tight space, and it has this very dated skylight with a crude light screen which only works partially. I believe a section of the hotel has been refurbished already, and we were told room no 7 was in line for a similar refurbishment. If you are used to staying in slick and smart city hotels, this one will jar on you somewhat. At best, this hotel is living on its past glories.

Lovely location

Vegan breakfast was quite poor and my asking what is vegan in the buffet seemed to take staff by surprise even though I had requested a vegan brekkie well in advance.

One of our favorite hotels ever!

I would highly recommend this hotel for a stay in Stockholm, especially if visiting the Skansen area and especially at Christmastime! As soon as we stepped inside the hotel it was like a Swedish Christmas fairytale with wonderful decorations. The staff was exceptionally kind to store our luggage and deliver to our room when it was ready. The hotel is less than a minute from the bus stop, the bus was never busy and took us to the central station in less than 10 minutes. The breakfast was one of the best parts as it was beautifully decorated, had a great view of the lake and property, and the food was delicious. I'd stay here again just for the Swedish pancakes! Thanks for a wonderful stay, we look forward to returning!

I wish we could've stayed longer than two nights!

I chose this hotel as it was near office so location was good for me. Room was clean and bed comfortable. I liked complimentary slippers in the room and breakfast selection was good. Only stayed for one night so cannot tell much.

Unique location- hotel in typical swedish style

The location of the hotel is truly romantic. The breakfast is very varied.

Every day there were celebrations in the restaurant with quite loud music. The room was located in this direction. However, from 22:00 the music was then also off. The terrace door is not possible to lock properly. There is also no safe. The price-performance ratio is not right due to the outdated equipment.

Dissapointed , i expected more

Good breakfast , nice view from restaurant , nice staff

we got one of the worse positon for the room near the receptionist so its super noisy , people talk and can hear the party from the dining room. The bed sheet dirty . Theres yellow mark on it and the theres clogging problem on bath tube so when i drained the water from the tube its flooding to the room.

The hotel is located in a quiet location. There are not that many rooms so you won't feel that it's too crowded. The view from the window is okay-ish, however, the barn right in front of the windows doesn't add to it. Breakfast was ok, however, some additional options of pastries and hot dishes would be good.

The restaurant and personnel there was a total disappointment. We were expecting to have dinner there, but everybody has been totally ignoring us. Also, a person at the reception wasn't able to help with that. It was quite a surprise that the sauna was under renovation. Also, the request about having a room with a bathtub was completely ignored. I understand that it depends on availability, but to the very least mentioning that they've received it and do not able to help would be a nice idea. No opportunities to make tea/coffee in the room. It was expected but nevertheless disappointing. The location is quite inconvenient if you're using public transport. Only one bus is coming through and in the evenings you could wait half an hour for it. As a disclaimer, our stay was quite okay, it's more than expectations of "oasis at the Royal Djurgården" with an 8.8 rating on booking were definitely higher.

Perfect combination: easy access to city and closeness to Djurgården 💚

The size of the room. Calm, relaxing atmosphere. Small terrace with chairs to enjoy sun and birds. Soft sheets, comfy bed. Delicious bathroom products.

The carpet under/around the bed. Smell of the pillows.
