Ok, nice to begin with then was made to feel uncomfortable

Made to feel like a second class citizen and not a paying quest, got told off for getting up at 5:30

Very lucky to find such a nice place in a good location. Margaret was a very helpful host.

Excellent breakfast with good selection. Good location with superb views of the coast line.

Great place with wonderful atmosphere

The hotel was exceptionally clean, Margaret who owns it couldn't do enough for you. The breakfast was lovely, and plenty of choice. The room we stayed in was lovely and the bathroom was immaculate with quality fittings. She will even cook you a evening meal, and there was a sitting room and conservatory which was great. Plenty of parking, great place to stay

Ultra clean accommodation in the heart of Douglas with great views of the bay. Friendly and gracious host with a passion for what she does. Tasty breakfasts cooked to order and the availability of dinners too. Will stay again.

Our host Margaret was exceptional nothing was to much trouble. Good size bed and large rooms, the breakfasts are amazing wide choice of food.

Being partially disabled to many steps for me, but Margaret did carry our luggage up to our bedroom, bless her.

Accommodating, informative and welcoming.

The host was lovely and it felt like home from home. The breakfast was amazing and any questions we had about the area were answered with great detail.

Excellent accommodation with a lovely host

Margaret is an amazing host. The room was better than the photos showed and there was plenty of tea, coffee, milk and biscuits in the room. Huge bath and shower with lovely toiletries and towels. Fabulous breakfast too.

The WiFi was poor but as we were only there one night and it wasn’t important it didn’t bother us.

Fabulous short stay which outdid our expectations. Such a lovely place !

Margaret is the most amazing host. Warm welcome on arrival. House is very homely and spotlessly clean. Nothing is too much trouble. The bedrooms were freshened up every day . The beds were extremely comfortable, and the view from the room was beautiful. Amazing shower too Very! Very quiet location and amazing breakfast ! Highly recommended. Definitely love to come back!

Lovely room, very comfortable bed, food cooked to order and very tasty. Nice big bathroom with bath and shower, toiletries available. Free parking. Everything you need.

Five star accommodation achieved without fail from a five star host.

Margaret is an excellent host. She tirelessly endeavours to make everyones stay pleasurable. Nothing is too much trouble and she keeps every type of tourist information on hand that you might need during your stay. Five star accommodation achieved without fail from a five star host.

Englewood Lodge was further away from Douglas town centre than I anticipated but Margaret also provides an excellent evening meal which means that you don't have to travel at the end of the day. However, this also meant that the accommodation was in a quiet location.

Quiet, clean and comfortable we had a great stay on our first visit to the island. Margaret is a wonderful host, very knowledgeable about the island with lots of tips and advice. Breakfast was lovely as was Margaret's home made cake.

My hubby and I loved our stay at the immaculate and super-comfortable Englewood Lodge. Margaret is everything you could possibly wish for in a hostess, her hospitality and thoughtfulness goes way above and beyond. A delicious breakfast with tempting choices which will set you up for the day - options of lunch and an evening meal too. Lovely view from our room. So looking forward to our next visit Margaret.
