Nice hotel near Basel Badischer Bahnhof

The location very close to the Basel Badischer Bahnhof was perfect for us. Breakfast was good. We could check in early. The stay included the Basel-Card, and we made good use of it. All of the hotel rooms are on the top floor and can be reached by lift. There was a good sized mini-refrigerator in the room.

The drains in the bathroom were not working well.

Good location if you are passing through Basel.

Room was clean and spacious. The staff were lovely and helpful.

Self service check in left feeling very vulnerable as had to take passport n cards out on the street. The air con was not working in our room which meant we had to have the windows open and the noise from the trams and street was incredibly loud.

Hotel was in Close proximity to the train station which was 10 minutes from the main train station. Self check in was easy to navigate.

Even the location is not perfect, the hotel has a tram stop in the same door and they give you a pass to use it for free during your stay. The hotel has an agreement with the Bahnhof Parking to pay 20CHF per day

The automated check in worked very well and check out was also smooth. The room was comfortable and clean. The location in front of the train station is very convenient but...

The street in front of the hotel was very noisy, with road works starting at 4am, and the windows were not enough to isolate from the noise.

Christian was great. Would recommend this hotel to colleagues.

Not used to checking in via a machine but it worked out ok in the end. Not a lot of places to eat at , close to the hotel.

Smelly room, no parking even though the search criteria was specific about the parking requirement. No room service, dinning area is a building site?

The airconditioning was not working We moved rooms to try and get some and it was not working throughout the hotel. It was actually cooler in the hall than our room

Secure and decent room for a family. Staff was extremely helpful.

The room was extremely hot both days even if we requested changing the temperature. We could not rest comfortably in the room in the afternoons.

Good place for one or two nights

The rooms are comfortable, reasonably sized, and the location is very good if you arrive at the Badischer Bahnhof ("German" station), and well connected by tram to the Messe and to the city centre/old town.

The whole place feels very unpersonal, with no receptionist or something, and check-in and everything done thorugh a machine besides the door. This made things a bit tricky since two of our group of three arrived two hours later: We couldn't deposit a key card at the reception (since there is none), and they had to get new ones with the "lost key" function, obviously leading to my key being invalid as I came back, so we again had to get three additional new keys. In the end we had 6 key cards, some working, some not. There is definitely room for improving this situation... It does not really feel like a 4 star hotel.
