Nice big bungalow with a great little porch for sitting on and a hammock, the fan and AC helped a lot with the heat. The bed was comfortable
The mosquito net that was over the bed was a good help but it wasn’t big enough to fit over the bed properly and got tangled up and opened in my sleep

Located by the beach. Large garden area. Bungalow had a porch and hammock. Helpful staff.
Only dim lighting in the bungalow. Air conditioning not so effective because of many cracks in the bungalow window and door frames. Poor wi-fi in the bungalow.

Great location and unique accomodation
The lighting in the room was quite dark which made it difficult to get ready.

Located 200m to the right of the ferry terminal the reception area/ restaurant (with wifi) is on the beach with the lovely huts up the slope behind. Each has a balcony with hammocks surrounded by trees and the sounds of the jungle and chickens. Fridge and mosquito nets with air con. Friendly gecko in the roof spaces. Reception very helpful if you want to book any trips etc. InLots of eating options- the dive place a few doors down did great Thai food in a beautiful location overlooking the sea. The beach has some deck chairs and is a little piece of paradise. We loved it.
Can’t think of anything to be honest

Stunning location, right on the beach but also feels like you’re in the jungle.
There wasn’t too much to do in the area it was very quiet and the resort’s restaurant wasn’t running as it was low season.

Great location 5 min walk from boat dock. Resort on the beach front great relaxing time. Staff were very helpful with everything providing snorkelling gear for us and organising our laundry.
We were located at the top of the resort, room could be very dark even when the lights were turned on as there were no outside light unless the door was open. Bathroom could have been cleaner and there were gaps in the windows were some creatures were getting through into the bathroom.

This was the best place we could have stayed at in Koh Tao as backpackers! For such a little price you get everything you could possibly need, including easy access to a really lovely private beach, where we could happily watch the sunset every night, with a night beach bar just next door. General location is great too, with restaurants, bars, bike hire spots and shops all within walking distance.
The staff go above and beyond too, especially the receptionist. She helped arrange our next trip to Khao Sok (for a good price) and allowed us to extend really easily when we had second thoughts about leaving! She even let us take a shower in a room after we had checked out, whilst waiting for the night boat. Even just the free coffees throughout the day, or giving us free bottled water at every opportunity made us feel so comfortable here.
We were so impressed and would 100% recommend to all travellers needing a place to stay. Again, perfect for the Koh Tao sunset! Made our trip even more special!

Close to the pier if you walk along the beach.
Requested two twins got a double
Half the jungle was in the room with us
Uncomfortable beds
No members of staff working so had to wait ages
Booked 3 nights and could only manage 1
Very out of the way location
Didn’t feel safe at all
Honestly, the fact this place markets itself as ‘Royal
Resort’ is laughable. Save your money and go elsewhere.

good location
poor facilities in room
dangerous stairs on huts
unhelpful staff

Was close to what I needed..beech.food.pubs.
To dam hot and humid at times but guess that's Thailand. .
9.0
9 choices for breakfast taken on the terrasse facing the sea, terrasse in the bungalow and sleeping like in the jungle
2.0
Location is something exceptional! It's very quiet, close to the sea and just a few steps away from the night life (if you could say like that about Mae Haad)
The personnel and/or owner has been changed and so everything that has been bringing warm memories from the last time we stayed there has been ruined - hospitality, food, etc.
