We were very excited to stay here, but it wasn’t the best check in experience. But after having contact with the beautiful staff member named Johana, she turned it all around for us. She was exceptional! It’s all because of her that we loved staying here.
Also a very special mention to Eugene who was on the night shift. Very friendly and welcoming. We really enjoyed staying here and can’t wait to come back. Loved the different themed rooms.
After the unwelcoming arrival at check in, then finding the room had glass throughout the bathroom and room, our first time in Tel Aviv didn’t go to plan. But everything was sorted the following day.

The hotel is well situated in the centre of Tel Aviv, just one block away the Allenby Street and Sderot Rothschild, so there is no noise from traffic but the convenience to many decent restaurants, bars and bus stops. The room is well-decorated and clean. Moreover, the staffs are very friendly, especially the lady called Sasha that helped us to check in. She gave us advices and made sure everything ok for us. I would definitely stay in the same hotel again if I travel to Tel Aviv again.

Wonderful wonderful staff and management team, they are super kind and informative, not only we felt instantly at home but also felt we made some great new friends too, it’s awesome to have this experience when in fact you are so far away from home.
Beds are too comfortable that we might have to buy a new one to replace our own at home.

The place is clearly unique and it positions itself as so. Every room is different and is an artful masterpiece. When you get out of the room - it’s a run down property that wants more maintenance and misses a good smile, better client-facing abilities and a proper tech stack to enable easier management of the property.
This time I was missing the following:
1. smooth communication with the staff
2. the basics, for example water bottle in the room and some snacks
3. the feeling of coziness in the place - it is people who can create an atmosphere, and the atmosphere is just not there!
4. I do see so much of the property demands maintenance and it is sad. The common areas, the outside garden and the rooftop are hardly maintained. It is not pleasant to be in these areas and I think they need to be subcontracted to professionals.
5. Language skills - most of the staff I encountered does not speak Hebrew, and many also do not understand English. There is a culture gap in the team
6. When you think about the experience in this hotel, there is no word of “delight” that comes to my mind.

I did not like just a small bit of construction during the day

the property has potential, in a lovely building, and certainly would be great under another management
no breakfast cause the bar has been closed, even though it’s called “alma hotel and lounge”. the rooftop bar, potentially nice, is in a state of abandonment. staff changes a lot and some of them were very rude (didn’t help me even though I was alone with 2 kids with 4 pieces of luggage), or unable to understand when the word “map”.
when we realized there was no breakfast they just said go to the main road, there’s plenty of places where to eat!
the tv offers basically nothing.
the lights in the room were flashing during the night.
and above all, the noise from a local disco open air outside was so loud that we could only sleep with ear plugs. it keeps going on until late morning. I know it well cause I was feeling unwell and had to stay in the room until midday.
the hairdryer was all sticky but they cleaned it after I told them

Nothing but the location!
This hotel is not habitable. Very dirty and rusty and stench. The hotel is run down, the bar is closed, it feels like the place is about to close. The reception area is also dirty and neglected. A non-refundable reservation is not relevant as the hotel does not provide the minimum service for such a high price. We did not agree to stay there with our baby and yet they charged us about $550. The owner of the place did not agree to credit us and told the clerk at the reception that she doesn't care about bad reviews, in fact she doesn't care about the customers. This place is a real steal. The receptionists themselves told us that they suffer there because everyone complains and they intend to leave their jobs there. I took many photos that document the room and the hotel and the dirty and neglected shower. You are invited to search for the photos that we uploaded to Google in the review of this horrible place.

Everything was great.

the property needs an overall renovation, painting, and maintenance
it leads to hygienic issues especially in bathroom area.
also the room soundproof is extremely poor, you can hear any single noise of the busy street downstairs, as well as any neighbor coming in / out in stairs.
the windows are single glass layers. expect a busy night
for such a hotel category no hot water kettle in room, no Bluetooth speaker device, TV access impossible. we tried the remote unsuccessfully.

Spotless clean, very comfortable bed and efficient AC.
Didn't have a fridge in the room.

Noisy and not very clean (shutters full of dust). Very expensive for that kind of hotel.

The locations was super! The bars where too noisy which i could hear from my room. Very poor also no double glass
Not very clean! A bit shabby and the bar and restaurant were closed without informing me. The hotel
could use a renovation. The door is always open so not very safe as well.

so noisy! the room was just on the Main Street with bad quality windows full of dust.

Pros: amazing location! beautiful tall ceilings and a big room. The staff were wonderful and helpful! The street is a quite side street steps away from the heart of the city (as in, about 10 steps away!).
Cons: The room was noisy from the street and the windows did little if not nothing to block the noise (no noise isolation). The mini-fridge in the room was also loud and the water was slightly rusted...

The location is great.
It used to be my favorite place in Tel Aviv, but it seems to have been severely affected by Covid. the restaurant is closed, as well as any other social amenities. The rooms are aging and far from the quality I experienced in the past. There were hair in the bathroom and on the soap. I guess all places have their time of glory and then gradually decline.

The location in the heart of Tel Aviv near the Rothschild Boulevard is very good. Service at the front desk was good.. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean.
There was quite a lot of noise from the street. The room was small. There was a thick curtain which shut out the light, but not another thin curtain, so th alternatives were either darkness or being exposed to the street. There are no facilities or public spaces besides the rooms. The rooftop could have been a nice place to habf around, but it was neglected and obviously not in use. The restaurant is currently closed, but we were told it would reopen soon,

Excellent location. Very comfortable bed. Quirky furniture in the bedrooms
Restaurant was closed, so there was no breakfast available which the hotel did not notify us of at the time of booking. We travelled as a family and booked 2 rooms. Fridge was not working in either room. One of us changed rooms - fridge was not working in the new room either. Shower pressure was non existent; literally a trickle. One day, I came down to reception, there was no one there so I wandered into the unused dining room in search of the receptionist. There was a guy at a lap top with his bare feet up on the table who asked if he could help me. I asked if he worked at the hotel, he told me he was the Manager !! Without turning round or taking his feet off the table, he told me the receptionist would be back very shortly and I should go back to reception and wait. And that really sums up the level of service here. The Receptionists were all polite, but seemed quite despondent, miserable and disinterested. After we checked out, we discovered that one of us had left something in the room. The receptionist confirmed by email that she had found the item and and would keep it at reception for us to collect. When we came back to collect it, we were told it had gone missing ! In conclusion, the hotel has seen better days and has a very shabby and grubby feel to it. This buzzing area is full of hotels - we do not recommend this one.

Not clean enough. The rooftop is neglected and dirty!

There was no breakfast. When I booked this hotel, the website showed a beautiful restaurant with wonderful food. When I arrived, I was advised that the restaurant had closed down. This was not highlighted on the website. I specifically looked for accommodation which included breakfast.
I arrived at 5am. I wanted to shower but there was no hot water.
I checked out later the next day.
