Comfortable and welcoming accommodation in the heart of beautiful Franschhoek.

Excellent location. We were able to walk to all the interesting places and restaurants in town. We enjoyed the spacious stoep overlooking the garden. Interesting old house with high ceiling and solid wooden floor, but a nice modern bathroom. We appreciated the fact that the Eskom power outages were almost negated by the use of a generator. It had everything we needed for basic self-catering and was well supplied with different teas and coffees.

The unit was a wee bit cramped. If most of the items on the coffee table were removed, it would be a big improvement.

Great location, but as for the rest.........

Location

Little interaction with owners, dog poo on the lawn not cleared and painters painting the exterior on our patio first thing in the morning, without any communication from the owners. Also we were sat on the patio in the evening and again with no warning, and no communication from the owners the outside sprinklers came on!!

Ideale locatie, vriendelijke verhuurster en lieve hond aanwezig. Mooie view vanaf het terras, veel privacy.

De kamer is wat verouderd.

Great looking central accommodation

Regrettably, due to the massive rainstorm in the Western Cape, Franschhoek was totally flooded and inaccessible. The establishment was very proactive in informing us of the situation and advised us not to travel in that direction. We were also not charged for the accommodation. An establishment to recommend.

Cannot comment, everything about this establishment looks great and we were most disappointed in not being able to stay over.

Superb

It was conveniently located and we enjoyed being able to walk to where we needed to be. Absolutely loved Charlie, wanted to pack him in our bags and keep him forever.

The shower had slow drainage, I was concerned about that. Other then that I loved the place.

Central, safe, comfortable, well equipped, welcoming

Not applicable, but tea and coffee was provided. Very nice cafe next door.

It was very easy. Chantelle met us even before the agreed time and gave us the key.

Wonderful, convenient, great value. Chantal best host ever!

First of all Chantal was an absolute star. She seems to do everything and so well. For such a great value option so close to town it is a bargain but delivered so much more in the room even though basic and without air con. Chantal was ever so friendly (as was Charlie the Labrador!) and really is a credit to this business. They are lucky to have her.

Air con and although a fan in room problem is load shedding!

Awesome stay - definitelly recommended

Our stay at “Le manse” was just perfect! The location is great (right in the city center in the middle of everything) and the apartment had everything we needed. And last but not least, the host was very nice :) would definitely come again.

Lovely stay

Lovely shower, great location, superb coffee! Charlie, superstar property dog!

Bed was too hard for me, but that's personal taste. Load shedding was slightly annoying, but nothing they could do about that!

Lovely place, lovely people

The people who run this place (which happens to be adjacent to the main church as it's the Pastor's house) are lovely, as is the dog, and the building and gardens are delightful. Very central to Franschhoek, but at the same time nicely secluded

Not the easiest place to find, unless you know it's part of the church complex. WiFi a bit hit and miss.

Good location, lovely upgraded bathroom.

Odd parking facilities. Entrance not well sign posted, had a problem finding the property via Google maps.

Will stay there again when we next visit.

Location was brilliant. <1 min walk to main road with all the shops. Noise surprisingly quite. Lovely grounds. Beautiful dog Charlie on site. Everyone friendly. Room was more than sufficient & clean. Will definitely book again, this time longer.

Fabulous room in a central yet quiet location with safe parking

Adrienne is very communicative and welcomed us to the property. Fabulous location, comfortable room and bed, small kitchenette, fresh coffee - all is all a great location and yes we’ll stay again.

Property in the centre of town with reasonable rates

The property is right in the centre of town. The number of TV channels. The selection of coffee & tea. And the free rusks.

The traffic in the main street late at night. (I realize it is unavoidable)

Lovely, homely house close to the Wine Tram

Lovely little house just next to the church. I chose it because it is within walking distance of the Franschhoek Wine Tram. The hosts are delightful, and there is a sweet dog as well. The room itself was gorgeous, very comfy, and - a rarity in South Africa - they made sure the wifi works during load shedding too! I'd love to stay here again.

The only inconvenience is that it is not obvious to find based on the address. The house is directly next to the church (on the left if you are coming from the main road) behind a low fence. Yes, it looks like somebody's house, that's the point. A sign would be nice though, because I had to ask around to find it.
