This one level modern lodge with a step-down living room is sited on a private lot near Mirror Lake, within a 5 minute drive to everything downtown Highlands has to offer. Newly furnished, the home offers AC, Wi-Fi, Flat screen TVs, Fire Pit and a six person Hot Tub. There are 2 fireplaces – one in the living room and one in the dining area, hardwood floors and special touches throughout. Escape to this inviting mountain retreat to relax and recharge in nature and privacy. Outside, there is a hot tub, stone terrace with fire pit and multiple Adirondack chairs – perfectly lit with cafe lights for romance and for making s'mores. Plus, a screened porch sitting area and connected wrap around dining/party deck with a Weber Gas Grill and umbrella-covered table and chairs. The home is on a private and serene lot surrounded by beautiful N.C. hardwood trees and a trail around the house. Level entry to porches from the house, only 2 steps to main entry from the driveway and covered parking area, and only 5 steps off the rear decks to the outdoor amenities for making memorable nights by a roaring fire. Inside: 3 spacious bedrooms and 3.5 baths: 2 king bedrooms and the third bedroom with 2 queens... all with large closets. The fully equipped kitchen has everything like home: Keurig coffee maker, waffle maker, toaster oven, blender, pots and pans, mixer, olive oil, spices and more! Dolly Lodge is a beautiful spacious home in a great location less than 2.0 miles from downtown Highlands with a large property in a secluded neighborhood. Would definitely consider staying again for another trip to Highlands.

The house was very comfortable, and very secluded. We really enjoyed our 2 weeks there. It was the perfect escape. Close enough to main street (6 - 7 minutes) but a world away. We caught the leaves perfectly. Created some wonderful memories that will endure.

I come to Highlands every year and rent. This house was by far the best house yet. They have everything you need from a top of the line kitchen to a hot tub & fire pit area. So many areas to relax in. We will definitely be back!

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Dolly Lodge is even better than the photos. Tastefully decorated, well equipped cook’s kitchen, multiple comfortable places to rest and relax, secluded location yet close to town and activities. Already planning our next visit.

My wife and I have rented in Highlands for nearly 35 years, and this home is by far our favorite. House has the feel of an old Highlands cabin, yet is loaded with modern appliances and amenities. The house maintains it's cozy appeal even with soaring ceilings, and plenty of light. Our family absolutely loved our stay over the Thanksgiving Holiday.

The nicest rental home we’ve ever stayed in. Beautiful and very comfortable. We appreciated that there were three nice, large bedrooms with their own baths plus a powder room. Often there’s only one large bedroom and the other two bedrooms are small with twin beds or bunk beds. This is a home that’s great for several couples to share. And the gorgeous kitchen is fabulous and well stocked. It could be featured in a magazine. The other great benefit is that it’s on one level ( with a sunken living room). So it’s easy to access. There are multiple outdoor sitting areas to enjoy. And a beautiful screened porch. It’s only a few minutes to the Main Street of Highlands. We loved our stay!

Absolutely the prettiest and best stocked home I’ve rented. I wish I had the kitchen at my house. Evert thing you could want. The house was comfortably furnished, comfortable beds,great screened porch and perfect location. We all had a great time.

The Dolly Lodge is better than ever. This is our 3rd 2 week summer stay. The new kitchen, bathrooms, and laundry room add a lot to the house. I would recommend it to my friends. Thanks Phil for being a great host and we hope to be back in 2023.

We’ve stayed in Highlands multiple times and this was our favorite property. Very convenient to town but still very private with a great outdoor fire pit, hot tub and landscaping/yard. The owners were also great to work with. Looking forward to staying here again soon!

Beautiful home and property. We enjoyed long walks around the neighborhood. Beautifully decorated with an amazing kitchen and very comfortable beds. The hot tub and outdoor fire pit were a great addition. Very close to Main Street. We explored the waterfalls, hiking trails, nature center, horseback riding and great restaurants. We would definitely stay here again!

Very nice property and loved our stay there. Although there was some rain, it was very relaxing. So we rested a bit and enjoyed di ing out. Will be back again.
