Redwood Bungalow – built in 1923, Newly Renovated
About this house rental
Located in Crescent City, this attractive house for £179 per night is a fantastic choice for your next vacation. Completely renovated 1920’s home with lots of natural light and period architectural and woodwork detail, Redwood Bungalow is a 2 bedroom, 2 bath vacation rental located within walking distance of the ocean and downtown Crescent City. The house sleeps up to 6 people, 2 in each bedroom and 2 on the full size sofa bed in the living room. The upstairs master bedroom and bath have distant views of the ocean, Battery Point Lighthouse, and the mountains behind Redwood National Park. Built in 1923, Redwood Bungalow was renovated and the attic converted to a master bedroom in 2019. The fir floors down stairs are original, the upstairs flooring and claw foot bath tub came out of a 1920's farm house. Reclaimed redwood was used for much of the building materials, including the front deck and the interior stair handrail. The redwood shingles are eco-salvaged from a family owned local redwood mill that's been in operation for over 50 years. The house is conveniently located near downtown and local restaurants and is walking distance to the beach at the south end of Pebble Beach Drive (2-1/2 blocks), Sea Quake Brewery (5 blocks) and Battery Point Light House (6 blocks). Jed Smith State Park, Stout Grove and the Smith River are about a 15 minute drive.

Well-equipped, clean, and in a great location near lots of outdoor recreation areas in the Redwoods! We’d love to come back some day!

We felt welcomed the moment we arrived and saw fresh flowers on the kitchen table and a bottle of wine waiting for us.
This cottage has been beautifully remodeled, keeping a sense of the era that it was originally built including a beautiful period Wedgewood range in the kitchen and reclaimed wood ceilings just to mention a couple of things. Additionally, it included all the modern conveniences of fresh plumbing fixtures, dishwasher, washer and dryer, ample lighting, WiFi, etc...
The super convenient location is only a few blocks from the grocery store and restaurants in one direction, and a couple of blocks from ocean and sunset views on Pebble Beach and the bay in the other direction.
10/10 would recommend! We would love to stay there again!

This house was fantastic. It was very clean and airy. All the essentials were provided. It was like being in your own house. It was quiet at night, we slept with our windows open and I’m a light sleeper. You do hear the fog horn, but it was not loud.
Awesome hosts, very responsive and caring.
Honestly, we were sad to leave.

Spotlessly clean. Immediately responsive to my needs - we arrived 3am and lots of back and forth as we were on the road. Everything worked in the home, it was beautiful and clean and loved all the touches. The guide books, maps, puzzles and games, coffee, pantry items, well stocked kitchen. Everything perfectly appointed! Highly highly recommend!

The design, craftsmanship and attention to detail were so impressive. The wood floors, and redwood accents were beautiful. The mattresses and linens were all very comfortable and the kitchen was very well stocked with necessary items. The Wedgwood stove is beautiful. We so enjoyed the record player with a perfect collection of discs. The bathroom tile work was beautiful too. We took a few walks to the beach and found the location great for exploring the Jedediah Smith and prairie creek areas of the Redwoods. The hosts were very responsive to us. I recommend highly

The redwood bungalow was a perfect place to stay! The hosts were very communicative and even checked in to make sure our stay was going well. They thought of all the personal touches! The kitchen was well stocked with anything you might need and there were lots of extra towels. It was one of the cleanest rentals I’ve ever stayed in. Location was great… walking distance to the beach or local brewery and east access to hwy 101 for an easy drive to the beautiful redwoods.
