About this cabin rental

Located in Pequot Lakes, this attractive cabin for £354 per night is a great option for your next trip. Look no further if a true Minnesota cabin experience is what you're after. Once you arrive, the path to the "Stairway to Heaven" will quickly make you realize why you made the trek Up North. This 1940’s cabin was fully renovated in the winter of 2018 and is essentially brand new inside and out, but the charm of the original cabin has been maintained and is evident throughout. You get the true cabin feel as you enter the main level which combines the family room and dining area for an open, yet cozy feel. The wood-burning fireplace on the main level will warm you up quickly on those cooler nights (firewood included). Enjoy meals at the dining room table or grab a book and snuggle up in front of the fireplace or on the built-in bench; all while overlooking Brown's Bay. This level also includes a custom-made Murphy bed that converts to a game table for chess and checkers matches. The quaint kitchen packs all of the amenities you could need, including stainless steel appliances along with a double-drawer beverage fridge. The main level also includes a full bathroom with a walk-in tiled shower and additional storage. The excitement builds as you head up the spiral stairs to the master bedroom, your expectations will most definitely be met as you feel on top of the world all while overlooking Sibley Lake from every angle. You can head out onto the balcony to enjoy a morning cup of coffee or an evening glass of wine and take in amazing sunset views. The master bathroom has been fully remodeled to include a farmhouse sink, walk-in tiled shower with glass doors and jetted sprays. You will not want to get out of bed in the morning as you will wake up and want to take in all of the beauty that surrounds this room. As you head back down the spiral staircase, you will then head outside down the exterior staircase into the lower level of the house where you will find Bob’s bar, a perfect spot to hang out with your friends and family or sit and relax and enjoy a movie or game on the flat screen TV. This room also has a leather couch that pulls out into a queen-size bed to allow for additional sleeping space. As you head out of the lower level you will walk across the patio to the upper boat house. This will likely be the kids or maybe the parents favorite place to hang out as it will feel like their little getaway space. The boathouse has built-in bunk beds, along with a day bed for comfortable sleeping. You will feel like you are sleeping on the water as the boathouse is situated just steps away from the lakeshore. As you head out of the cabin, you are just steps away from the dock that is perfect for fishing, swimming, and relaxing. Head out for a cruise around the lake or to the sand bar on the 2019 Sylvan fish and cruise pontoon (rental of cabin includes the pontoon boat). Everyone loves a good campfire and s'mores, so the shoreline also boasts a firepit and Adirondack chairs to enjoy the fire and the lake views on those beautiful Minnesota summer evenings. Finally, the cedar sauna house and patio are a perfect place to begin or end your day. With beautiful views of Sibley Lake, relax and enjoy some quiet time away from all the hustle and bustle. For those that like to stay connected or to not miss the Wild, Twins, Vikings, United, or T-Wolves games, both the main and lower-level bar have high-definition TV’s with DirectTV or streaming with free fast Wi-Fi. This property is perfect for a family, or an extended family, or a couple’s getaway. Upon reservation confirmation you will receive a complete list of what to bring, so you are prepared for your time at the lake. Please feel free to inquire with any questions you may have and will promptly reply. We pride ourselves on maintaining our property and keep it in excellent condition, we are certain we will exceed your expectations in this regard. Since we also live across the lake from the cabin, should any questions or issues arise we can respond quickly. NOTE: There are a number of stairs on the property as you will see in the photos. We purchased the cabin from folks in their 90’s so we believe these stairs keep you young. There is a tram conveniently located to help bring supplies and luggage up and down and is available for use spring, summer, and fall (not winter due to snow). The tram is NOT available to transport people. NOTE: The pontoon is in the water, and use is included in the stated rental rates, from approximately mid-May to mid-October. NOTE: The main cabin includes a central air heating and cooling system. The bunkhouse includes a ductless split that provides both heat and cooling.

We traveled from home in Texas to Pequot Lakes, MN for 5 days -- after Xmas and through the New Year. We are very familiar with the area as my in-laws once lived there. The property and cabin are wonderful! Krista is a great host -- great directions/info and let us know the ins and outs of the cabin before we arrived. The cabin is also furnished with just about everything you need to stay...except for food, drink, etc. There are also a lot of amenities there as well...though we didn't get a chance to sample them all. The only *issue* -- and it's really not an issue, simply something that elderly folks or those with mobility issues might need to know -- is that the cabin is down by the lake and it's a short, but steep trek down the cement steps to get to it from garage where you park. For the record, my Mother-in-law who is 81 was with us and had very little issue navigating the steps. A+ property, highly recommended by our family, and we would definitely stay again on our next trip up!

Worked remotely from the lake cabin for a week. Wifi and Internet worked great. The cabin is thoughtfully stocked and meticulously maintained. This was the best VRBO I've stayed at. Thanks to Krista for being a professional host.

We had our eye on staying here for more than two years and the stars finally aligned and we were able to make it happen. My wife and I agreed that this is the best VRBO experience we've ever had. The host was incredible and communicated with us constantly, with clear instructions, tips and even information on the area's goings-on that weekend. The place itself is exactly what we wanted - clean, comfortable and, most importantly, unique. The property is one of a kind, a distinctive home. Awesome grill. Cozy bunkhouse. Luxurious yet rustic sauna. Great area for grilling out. Easy access to town for coffee and supplies (we brought our bikes and pedaled to the shops). It was simple to jump in the pontoon boat and take a relaxing spin around the lake, too. At night, we noshed on s'mores by the waterside fire pit. An interesting and much-appreciated bonus was the service cart that takes supplies and luggage up and down the steep hill, to and from the cabin. We loved every second of our stay and dream of going back some day.

We so enjoyed our stay at this darling cabin! It is so cozy & comfortable, beautifully decorated with all the conveniences you would want. Cleanliness is really important to me, as is the comfort of the bed and the sheets, all of those things did not disappoint! Highly recommend! There are a lot of stairs, that was fine for us but may not be fine for everyone. We are active seniors and brought our 10 year old dog. Krista, the host, was most responsive, very impressive. We would definitely go here again.

We had a wonderful time! We loved the place and the setting. We took the pontoon out for a sunset cruise - lovely fall color - and paddled all around the lake in the canoe. I even got to take a short swim. The accommodations were so cozy and comfortable. My husband especially loved the boat house.

Had an amazing time. The cabin was everything we expected. The boat was fantastic, very well kept and easy to use. The fishing was great. The close proximity to town was also a plus. Nothing but great things to say. The hosts were very helpful and we look forward to coming back.
