This was a 4 night getaway for 5 women friends - what a perfect stay all around! The lakeside home is beautiful, with a beautiful lake view and surrounded by woods; the drive through the woods to the home from the main road is heavenly. We were lucky enough with our timing to enjoy the fall colors. It's close to both Nisswa and Pequot Lakes. We had dinner in Nisswa (excellent food at Main Street Ale House) and cooked great meals in the cabin. The kitchen was very well stocked! The seating in the living room is quite comfortable, as were the beds. Our host was super responsive when we had questions. I would definitely book this place again. Kudos to the hosts!

We had 8 adults in town for a wedding and this was the perfect place for us. The owners had everything you could need. I would stay there again if I was in the area.

My wife and I were in charge of planning a 3rd annual sibling weekend getaway for my side of the family and chose the Nisswa area as we had never been there before. We picked this listing as it fit all our needs and appeared to be a beautiful location, and it did not disappoint. Great spaces to gather and visit and a gorgeous view of Middle Cullen Lake to enjoy with our morning coffee. We would definitely return again!

We loved our stay of 3 couples at this cabin. We enjoyed meals in the kitchen, a wonderful living room space, and the bedrooms were great for our group! Everything was great and worth being off the beaten path a little!

We rented this beautiful cabin -- and it was beautiful -- that had a gorgeous fireplace. It was one of our only criteria for rental and we learned the day we arrived that the fireplace could not be used due to insurance issues. Understandable, but we were upset because we hadn't learned of the issue until we arrived. The information for accessing the property and about the fireplace didn't arrive until we were on our way, and I didn't read it carefully enough or I would have called immediately. Truthfully, if I hadn't been so disappointed and angry, we would have stayed. The property is gorgeous, well equipped and nicely located. The snow had been plowed, making the property easily accessed.

The cabin was warm and cozy! The beds were comfortable, everything was clean, the kitchen was well-stocked, and there were several spaces to gather and play games. The view of the lake was beautiful, and we appreciated the environmentally-friendly toiletries and toilet paper. Great communication and perfect location! 10/10, highly recommend!

We had hoped to use the grill but it was out of gas. Also, we thought the outdoor fireplace would be available but it was iced over and had a lot of snow covering it, so we couldn’t access it. We enjoyed the view and the accommodations. We had everything we needed to have a quiet and relaxing weekend. Cudos to whoever decorated. Nicely done.

It was a beautiful property right on the lake. It was the perfect size for 6 adults and 3 little kids. It was a great cabin to get out to do some ice fishing, skating, and sledding.

We had a perfect long weekend at this serene property on the lake!
The cabin was sparkling clean, well-appointed, good sized bedrooms, many amenities, and great spaces for visiting and relaxing inside and outside. The kitchen had everything we needed for the many meals we prepared there.
We especially loved the outdoor fireplace that was great on a crisp Fall weekend!

Would recommend this place to families to use or groups who are looking for a relaxing place to go for time away.
The one bedroom had 3 twin size bunks and one double bunk in it plus lots of space besides. Loft area great for 2 people to sit at or play area for kids.

This was a weekend getaway for the family, ages 29 to 81! Location was ideal, easy access to Nisswa for shopping and Breezy Point for golf. The cabin layout was perfect. The bedroom on the main level was perfect for my mom so she didn't have to make the stairs, but she did make the stairs to see the lake view from the loft, so pretty! We also took advantage of the outdoor fireplace in the evening, and use of the kayak and paddleboards during the day. This home had so much to offer and we certainly hope to come back for another stay!!

Fabulous winter weekend!
We enjoyed this great gathering space with our adult kids and their partners. Kitchen and entire space was perfect for meals together, game playing and conversation The setting was idealic for many walks, snowshoeing and loved being able to walk down to the xcountry ski trail for daily ski. Thanks for the use of your home for a wonderfully relaxing and gorgeous winter getaway!

This home is beautiful. The windows overlooking the lake allow you to watch the sunrise and almost the sunset. Loved four bedrooms to spread out, loved the heated screen porch, wonderful tables for puzzles, cards, and games. Loved that they allowed dogs. However, We would love to coach these owners! We were given two different times for checkin. We found out the night before that we couldn’t use the fireplace inside and the weather was -26 at night. When we arrived, there was a small pile of frozen bags filled with dog poo and cigarette butts at the doorway from the previous guest. Very dusty and thick cobwebs around the lowest windows in the living room. The whole house needs a really good cleaning such as picking up rugs and vacuuming under them, moving furniture, wipe the crumbs off the toaster, and get out the lemon pledge. We paid a cleaning fee so there are funds there to hire it out. We went to put items in the dresser and they were full of the owners personal items. We don’t need to see someone else’s unmentionables. The Various food in fridges and cupboards that we were told we could use but with so many COVID regulations, we didn’t feel comfortable using opened bottles of jam, etc. There were no garbage cans for full bags of garbage. One bedroom has no heat vent and blankets were very thin so it was cold. Also that same bedroom has mold growing on the window blinds and the person staying in that room had a mold allergy. The upstairs bedroom had no window coverings so very bright for those wanting to sleep in. There was no welcome/instruction book to help us understand the house, the area, departure process etc. The home really needs a water purification system as we all smelled like rust after showers. We were also asked not to bring individual water bottles as they preferred not to have plastic there. But the water is so full of iron that it is brown. The water purifiers we found to use just didn’t do the trick. The owners were very responsive, however, we shouldn’t have had to contact them. We have been staying in VRBO homes for 14 years and this is the first time we felt so uncomfortable. Again, The house is beautiful.

We have to give this place mixed reviews. On the one hand my daughter sobbed when we left and said it was the best place she's ever stayed. It's a very nice house, the beds and chairs were comfortable, and there was plenty of space for 8 of us. Overall we had a good weekend here and owners were very responsive when we had questions. On the other hand we felt there was some false advertising. Nowhere in the listing does it say that you can't actually use the big beautiful fireplace highlighted in the pictures because it's not insured. We weren't told that until the day before and honestly we would have chosen a different place if we had known that ahead of time. We were also told there was a skating rink cleared on the lake so we brought our ice skates. Then when we got there it turned out it hadn't been cleared in 2 weeks and we were told we could shovel it off ourselves if we wanted to skate. It took us about 4 hours to break up the icy snow and clear it off. The place also could use a deep cleaning. Kitchen and bathrooms were very clean but there were dirty socks in the couch cushions and it was pretty dusty under all the furniture. Lastly don't wash anything you care about in the washing machine, the water will stain your clothing. I'm sure this is a common problem in the area and not a huge deal, I just wish we had known about that ahead of time too.
