Nice clean comfortable fallout-base in quiet surroundings

Close to nice playground and public transport. Supermarket. Fully stacked kitchen with dishwasher. Ideal with our 4yr old granddaughter.

Little places to eat unless you want to pay a really serious amount of money.

A very comfortable, well equipped apartment for a reasonable price with enough room to accomodate our family of 5, very well situated near the city centre within a walking distance to the main tourist attractions. Nearby is a Spar grocery shop, a butcher shop, restaurants and a park with a children playing area. The owner is a very pleasant and helpful person. Would definitely love to come back again.

Finding a free place to park a car in the street (which is paid) might be a problem but thanks to the owner we were advised to use a parking house (less costly) within about 5 mins walk.

Attila is a really nice host, he was very helpful and answered all our questions. The apartment is nice and clean. Everything is near, you can just walk. The location is quiet.

The apartment is very spacious, cozy, had everything we needed and conveniently located right in the castle district, only a 7 minute walk up to fisherman’s bastion and Matthias church, and close to bus stations making commuting around the city very easy. The host was very friendly, welcoming and made the check in very easy.

The property was very clean, Attila met us at the property and showed us around. he helped with directions but also on the day of leaving he looked after our luggage for a late flight home

do not understand why it has such a high rate…

nothing - do not understand why it has such a high rate - it should be clearly stated this is basic quality place…

it is located at the ground floor facing inner courtyard hence pretty dark, on top of it one of the blinders did not work. it is really an old apartment in an old building so unless one is a fan of or is looking for new experiences it should be avoided - I would describe it as a very basic standard - the kitchen stove had broken glass cooking panel, the equipment in general is old there.

Very good accommodation!

The apartment is beautiful and clean. The host is very friendly and welcoming. The apartment is very well located, in a quiet area somewhere behind Buda Castle, close to all public transport, shops, restaurants, etc. Next to the apartment, there is a park with playgrounds, a football field, and a basketball field.

The apartment uses convectors as heating. We used to use this kind of heating when we were little, so I can easily recognize the smell of methane gas. Near the entrance to the apartment, there is sometimes a smell of gas, and sometimes in the living area of the apartment, you can also feel a subtle smell of gas. The living room carpet could have a refresh :)

Recommended for families for even a longer stay in Budapest

The apartment was perfect for our family (We have a one year old baby, but we didn't use a cot.) I grew up in Budapest, so I knew, that the location of this apartment is perfect. (be aware of the good pastry shops in the neighbourhood.) The owners are really friendly and give their best that you feel yourself welcome. We liked, that we found everything, what we needed: dishwasher, washing machine, even a plastic box to bring home some cake. The room is on the base floor, but not looking onto the street, so nobody disturbs you, it is really quiet.

As all windows are looking to the courtyard, it is not the brightest apartment, but it's okay. The parking situation is not the best in that area, but if you don't need your car during your stay, let it in the area of Hidász utca for free and come back by the bus No. 5 (10 min).
