Located in South Bethany, this lovely house for £356 per night is a great choice for your next vacation. Experience the best of South Bethany Beach in 2024! Book now to stay in our private 4-bedroom single-family home on the canal with a dock and deck in the rear. With recent upgrades, including new leather couches, all new mattresses, computer monitor(s) w/HDMI, an induction range, refrigerator, dishwasher, dock swing and a gas fire pit, you'll have everything you need for a comfortable and enjoyable stay! Our cozy home sleeps 8 and offers off-street parking for up to four cars. It's located just 1 1/4 blocks from the beach and the seventh house from the Atlantic Ocean yet on a canal to the bay side of coastal highway. You'll be close to popular destinations like Bethany Beach, Fenwick Island, Dewey Beach, Rehoboth Beach, and Ocean City. Take a short walk to some great food options like New Big Fish/Rosenfeld’s Jewish Deli, Misaki Sushi, Grotto's Pizza, and more. Boating enthusiasts can bring their boat to our 23' dock or rent one (bait & tackle 1 block south) and enjoy fishing and crabbing right from the dock. You can also relax on the private deck with a gas grill, gas fire pit, spare tanks, table & chairs, umbrella & Adirondack chairs. Our second-floor screened porch has a view of the canal, dock, deck and fire pit. You can also access Little Assawoman Bay and Assawoman Bay, including Fenwick Island restaurants like Catch 54, all the way to Ocean City and the Atlantic. The canal also provides access north to Indian River and Rehoboth Bays, including the restaurants of Dewey Beach. Outdoor Video and Audio Security Recording Provided by Ring on the Driveway/Street. Please note that linens/towels are not provided but can be easily rented/delivered locally or you can bring your own. We rent Saturday to Saturday during the summer & a 3-night minimum year round! First time visit to South Bethany and we had a great time. The house was as expected. Great having the dock in the back and a very short walk to the beach. Owner was very responsive and we had no issues during our stay.

My family and I loved staying here. Perfect location on the canal and a 5 min walk to a beautiful beach. Since it’s in south Bethany you’re away from the crowds but only a 5 min drive to the main Bethany strip. We would definitely stay here again.

We were within walking distance of the beach as well as a shopping plaza. The boardwalk and additional shopping was just a short drive away. The house was perfectly cozy and the outdoor spaces were our favorite. The patio with fire pit and seating along the canal was great for evening gatherings. Dining out in the sun room was amazing, especially with the ocean breeze coming through the large windows.

Lovely location in S Bethany. Easy to get to Bethany, Dewey, Ocean City and Rehobeth. Grocery stores and great restaurants near by. House on canal with all needed amenities. Owner extremely responsive and very helpful. Kitchen is a little dated, but very functional.

Overall, the place met our needs. There were a few hiccups - second floor shower leaked and the sink in each bathroom drained slowly...and then the dryer broke but was repaired in time for the next tenant. All is all, everything worked out ok for our group.

Relaxing and great location!
Great place to unwind and take advantage of the surrounding area. Easy access to beach and we enjoyed the back patio and second floor sun room. TV systems in all rooms were a major plus. Owner made process real easy.

My wife and I returned to this nice space in November. Bethany is quiet in the off season, which is what we were looking for. Very relaxing. The outdoor space and firepit is great and the living space in the house is also good.

It was a lovely house. The back deck/yard area is beautiful. We appreciated the fire pit and the ability to be outside so much. The house was very clean and accommodating for our group of 6. An FYI...the house states it has 3 queen beds, actually there was only 1 queen bed., the other 2 are doubles.
The homeowner was very easily accessible and helpful.

Loved the outdoor space and convenient location to the beach. We enjoyed the large screened in porch and fire pit. I would recommend mounting the TV above the fireplace and adding a couch/chair for additional living room seating. Also, an additional set of dishes would be helpful since our group of 7 went through the plates at every meal.

Relaxing and great location!
We were very impressed at the responsiveness of our host and the sweet location of the house. The dock and walking distance to the beach are both hits and I plan on coming back. The house was clean, exactly as presented online and the perfect getaway to relax! We appreciate all of the questions Patrick answered before and during our stay!

My girlfriends and I planned a girlfriends' getaway weekend (no husbands, no children, just us ladies) and wanted a property close to the beach that had a firepit. These were our only MUST HAVES. We chose this property because the post said it had both. Prior to arrival, the owner was extremely communicative. Check-in was super easy and the house was "nice enough for us". It's nothing fancy, but it was nice, clean, and spacious enough for four adult women. There were ants on the screened porch, but that wasn't a big deal for us. We planned to sit around the firepit on our second night there, and realized the firepit wouldn't ignite. I immediately called the owner to troubleshoot the problem. We tried putting on a new propane tank and made sure the tank was properly screwed onto the firepit...it still wouldn't ignite! The owner said he was unable to come by and would check to see if his maintenance guy was available to come check it out in a few days. IN A FEW DAYS??? We only rented the property for the weekend, and he wasn't able to come fix the problem until after we checked out. Needless to say, we were disappointed. After all, one of the main reasons we chose this property was because it had a firepit! I asked the owner if he would be willing to give us a small refund due to his inability to come fix the firepit during our stay. This was, in my opinion, the fair and "right" thing to do given the circumstances. Needless to say, the owner refused a partial refund and ignored my messages. This is unfortunate, as I have never had a negative experience at a VRBO property and have never left a negative review. THIS IS MY FIRST!! We paid A LOT of money for a weekend stay at a home that was supposed to have a working firepit. The owner dismissed our concerns and did not make an attempt to fix the problem while we were there. (We stayed here in late Sept - early October 2020). Extremely disappointed in the owner's lack of concern/service!!

Nice Outdoor Deck close to the Beach
Great outdoor deck and fire pit on the Canal. Close to the beach. The beds are a little long in the tooth but everything worked fine.

The property owner required an extra payment to cover any damages (or a very large damage deposit) so I thought the house would be in tip top top shape, but there were a few small issues (ants in the dining room/screened in porch, one of the burners on the stove didn't work, the beds had little support, no one had cleaned under the beds, all the plastic chairs on the deck were cracked). Overall, we really enjoyed the house. Not a luxury experience, but a very nice place to stay!

Perfect Fall Getaway
We had a wonderful time during our stay. The owners clearly have put a ton of time and care into the outdoor space and we enjoyed hours sitting by the canal, grilling lunch and dinner, and relaxing by the fire pit at night. For an avid paddleboarder, you can’t beat being able to get right on the water and explore many different canals and waterways from the backyard. We loved the screened in porch for dinner at night and coffee in the morning and the location was a short drive to many restaurants and shopping. Highly recommend, and we would definitely stay again.

Quiet and relaxing space to enjoy some time near the beach. Nothing fancy here - comfortable. clean, and a quick walk to the beach! Would absolutely recommend for a quick get-a-way, family & kid friendly.
