Nestled under a canopy of oak trees, and located within walking distance of historic Gruene, Texas, our guest house is a two-story "home away from home" for guests desiring a cozy, romantic retreat, a gathering place for family, a refreshing spiritual retreat, or a secluded spot for quiet work. In the style of an historic, German Sunday House, your experience will be reminiscent of a stay on the ground floor of an old home with the conveniences of modern amenities and easy recreation. Please see Property #7406306 River Haven Guest House if you would like to book the full house. Also, Andy, the cat, will be freely roaming the property and will happily come to greet you! Parking: one parking space provided but we can provide additional parking if prior arrangements are made. • Age: All guests must be 25+ with the exception of infants with their parents. Children should be over 12 only.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the River Haven Guest House on the first floor. The owners (Kathleen and Greg) were extremely nice and a pleasure to talk to. Their place is tucked away just down the road from Gruene and has all the comforts of home. It's beautifully furnished, extremely clean and has everything one needs! Whether you're sitting on the front porch in the morning having a cup of coffee or in the evening enjoying a glass of wine, you'll see deer grazing in the front yard. We went for walks every morning as well, and the deer were everywhere. It's absolutely a beautiful location! We have visited Gruene and New Braunfels many times over the years and would highly the River Haven Guest House! As a matter of fact, this will be our first-choice next time we visit! You won't be disappointed and without any hesitation, we give it 5 Stars! Thanks Dirk and Khristi

My sister and I spent the weekend in Gruene for a girls getaway and birthday celebration. Kathleen and Greg are absolutely wonderful hosts and their property is pristinely kept. The accommodations were wonderful. I look forward to staying here again in the future!

The room was the perfect size and very comfortable and decorated nicely. The addition of the coffee pods and snacks was very nice. The AC cooled very nicely. It was a nice quiet neighborhood and the baby deer running around the yard was a plus.

The place was perfect for our needs. Deer was all around the property. It was nice watching them from the room. The room was in walking distance to Gruene shopping area. The hosts was very nice. I definitely will stay here again.

The location is a great place to stay, so close to all sites in historic green but quiet enough to enjoy the beauty that the hill country provides. We enjoyed our coffee in the mornings on the front porch! The suite was just as beautiful on the inside. I highly recommend this location and the owners Greg and Kathleen are wonderful host, they were the icing on the cake!

This is the 2nd time we've stayed here - once upstairs and this past weekend downstairs. We don't require much room, but both spaces are plenty for 2 people. There's not an amenity missed here. It's quiet, close to Gruene, and just a pleasant place to stay.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at River Haven. The cottage is stocked well for a getaway. Comfortable bed, beautiful kitchen and bath, great location to Gruene shopping and restaurants, and very responsive owners made for a perfect stay! Thank you for sharing your home!

Home Away from Home
We had amazing time. Met the owners and love them. Private property, nice porch, not too far from Gruene Hall. Just like an Airbnb! Porch was my favorite with fans and Andy the cat! He welcome me every morning and had coffee 🤣

Beautiful little home was perfect for our anniversary getaway. Short drive to Gruene and Downtown New Braunfels. The adorable decor, cleanliness and snacks made this the perfect place for us.

The place is quiet, clean and has a home- like atmosphere. The owner put in a special touch like fresh flowers, chocolate, snacks and drinks. You can’t get that in a hotel for this price.

Lovely property
My friend and I enjoyed a mom-cation and this property fit the bill perfectly. Great location only five minutes away from the action in Gruene. Lots of nice touches, snacks, fresh flowers, a Keurig with coffee options and creamers!

Kathleen and Greg have done a great job with the space. It is well decorated and well equipped even to the point of having night lights (helpful when sleeping in a new space). It is about one mile to Gruene but has a country vibe.

Kathleen and Greg have done a great job with the space. It is well decorated and well equipped even to the point of having night lights (helpful when sleeping in a new space). It is about one mile to Gruene but has a country vibe.

Girlfriend Getaway
What a cozy, relaxing place! The setting is beautiful, and only three minutes from the Gruene town center. We watched deer cross the lawn, enjoyed the outdoor firepit while sipping our drinks, and loved the roomy cottage, complete with full kitchen, queen bed, comfy chairs, and day bed. Everything is beautifully appointed, and well thought out, even down to blankets for the outside around the firepit. The hosts, Kathleen and Greg, are friendly and willing to help in any way to make your stay more enjoyable. This has been our favorite place for our semi-annual girlfriend getaway and we intend to go back soon.

The apartment had everything we needed for a two week stay: kitchen and laundry. The hosts, Kathleen and Greg, are very friendly and helpful with finding places in New Braunfels. We wish we could have stayed longer, since we were waiting for our house to be finished.
