A delightful place to stay and relax while visiting all the major attractions in Bath.
Location was ideal since it was close to everything without being in the center of the city. The breakfast was delightful with various options ranging from a full English breakfast to a yogurt parfait. Finally, the staff were informative and friendly. Maxine was especially kind. I would definitely return to the Kennard.
Nothing. Everything was very good.

Lovely central guest house
Lovely welcome when we arrived. Great central location, but quiet. Fantastic choice of breakfast, served with excellent service. Lovely little courtyard garden
We had the 'snug' double but were surprised at just how small it was, particularly for the price. One of the bedside lights wasn't working. Also, the shower cubicle could do with some attention.

Very disappointing visit, especially after reading such positive reviews. Unlikely to return.
Very central, friendly receptionist. Nice and warm. Pretty garden
We had visited a good few years ago when the property was stylish and deserved the title of a boutique B&B. We booked some time ago and on arrival were directed to a standard room at the very top of the house (approximately 50+steps) We are a, generally, fit couple in our mid/late 70s. We arrived at our room to find it was the smallest in the house. No view and quite dark with very dreary decor. Having unpacked we went downstairs where I asked the receptionist a few questions and also informed her that we couldn’t make the tv work (turns out the it had been left in some random way that meant we couldn’t access any channels,) I also asked her if that was the only available, standard room in the building. Apparently we could have been much lower down the building, implying we actually had a choice and did we want to more. This would have meant going all the way back to the top, collecting all of our stuff etc. We really didn’t want to waste that much time as we were going out for a meal and then to the theatre. Why would you put people in (possibly ) the least attractive room in the place, when there were alternatives? The breakfast was also very disappointing. You could have cereal and full English but not porridge and full English. Why? The full English looked as though the bacon, sausage, black pudding had been cooked and reheated- really quite overdone! The English breakfast tea was like nothing I had ever had before, so much so I had to ask for an alternative EB teabag. The waitress (and receptionist) was helpful but the food very slow to arrive.

We would stay in the accommodation again but we would never want to stay in that room.
The staff were really friendly and the location was perfect. The room had a decent bed, good tv and plenty of towels.
The room was right next to the small reception, literally the door next to it. The room made us feel totally uncomfortable and if we were aware of this we would’ve booked elsewhere. Also, the tiny bathroom which was right next to the bed, had a sliding door which didn’t shut properly. This ment there was absolutely no privacy. The sink wasn’t in the bathroom it was by the bedroom door. All in all, I don’t think that room should be let out to guests. Me and my husband has a good laugh about it but we would be wary to recommend to others.

Great location
Good system for late check in... although we didn't actually see any staff at all until breakfast time, felt fully supported and in contact. Staff friendly and helpful. Nice decor, felt very Bath-like and traditional . Honesty bar a sweet touch. Fantastic location. Good breakfast in a lovely bright and airy breakfast room.
Room was tiny, bathroom almost unusably so. I'd stay here again but not in the tiny downstairs room. Maybe other rooms are larger.
