The room was lovely and the bathtub was glorious!! A very comfortable stay
It was a shame that the spa facilities were not included in the price and this wasn't clear at the time of booking so we were a little disappointed to not get to use those facilities. Even a discount might have been enough for us to be able to afford a little spa treat

The staff were all excellent, as was the food. EV chargers were well positioned.

It looked like a nice property.
Inside was very tired e.g. towels were hard, and so not what you’d expect. The general facilities had to be booked well in advance otherwise you could end up staying and have very limited options to choose. The staff were friendly and polite, and was generally clean.

Breakfast didn’t start until 7.30 so I never had any

It is comfy.
I think they missed cleaning the kettle, cupboard and lamp. It is dusty.

It was well kept and a very nice bath which was a huge highlight! Friendly staff and comfy bed.
Our room was lovely but the door didn’t shut properly so every time someone walked by it would move slightly which caused us to have a unsettled sleep! Restaurant was overpriced for what was served.

Area. Staff
Shower room was small. Only one chair for two of us

The property was charming and had a homely feel.
The shower head was broken and falling off. The bed was just two single beds with two single mattresses pushed together which isn’t comfortable for a couple. Bed generally wasn’t very comfortable. The flooring meant we could hear everything above us which wasn’t great when the people above you are dragging suitcases at 5am. Spa was okay, but felt a bit shortchanged with the actual massage which was booked for 25 minutes, five of which was running through questions and the time I spent getting undressed.

Beautiful location, great and friendly staff, cosi furnitures, good quality food.
Our room was opposite to the kitchen and the smell and noise came in.

Quaint property with so much character! Staff extremely helpful and massive appreciation goes to the lady at the Spa - she was a delight!
Rm12 is very basic, window but no view.
More attention to the detail - in the bathroom there was dirty skirting adjacent to the toilet, broken tiles, mouldy sealant in shower and a lot of things were calcified. Had the room been advertised as window but no view I think I would have booked elsewhere, we are in the Cotswolds after all.

The building is fine from outside. The breakfast was a 7 out of 10.
Our advice is look elsewhere. Standards have slipped massively since our last visit 3 years ago. Started with a sullen and charmless receptionist - who needs to find a non-public facing job. It's generally a shabby grubby place now - including common areas. We noticed filthy paintwork on our journey to our room. The grotty theme continued once inside the room.
Where do we start?
Dirty bedroom. Stained rubbish bin. Rubbish underneath furniture (lots). Old shabby dressing table. Drawers hadn't been checked - toiletries in from previous guests. Wardrobe handles broken and tired. Toilet seat stained yellow. Biscuit crumbs on made-up bed on entry. Grubby stained carpet. No bathroom blind. Lots of hair on the bathroom floor. Weak, pathetic shower. No pillow protectors (didn't dare check the mattress). Creaky floors throughout the building. Bottle bin was emptied into a truck directly outside our room at 6.30 am.
Also tried to overcharge me for a glass of wine. Its eye wateringly expensive. I ordered a £9.50 glass - they tried to charge me £12.75! Sharp operators.
Thank goodness it was a one-night stay. We didn't complain to reception as these were clearly there normal standards, plus we had to leave shortly after check-in. We give thee places one chance - then vote with our feet - and tell others.

location and potential
scruffy. really in need of a lick of paint. even the entrance is battered - not a good first impression

Booked the hotel for a wedding nearby. Really clean and spacious. Not far from the town centre either. Note - if you are getting taxis to nearby pubs make sure you book in advance as very little taxi services around the area.

Great weekend, staff were on call all the time, with smiles, great attitude and nothing was any trouble. When the front of house team was busy, they still acknowledge you.
Very hard to complain or find a negative without being picky

Our room No. 2 was just what we needed, we particularly liked the bathroom, super, felt very spoilt for the night which is just what we needed x Bar staff and waitress were lovely and helpful. Meal was lovely.
Nothing, we found everything perfect.
