Calm place in Maspalomas

The location was very peaceful in the busy town of Maspalomas. The backdoor gives instant access to the dunes/beach and other restaurants and bars are just a 5 to 10 mins walk. The cleaning staff is very friendly.

We didn't receive a notification to collect the guys somewhere else so the taxi dropped us off at the hotel but we had to walk a decent bit with our luggage to collect it. The cleaning of the rooms is very random, we stayed for 5 days and only the first 2 days the room was cleaned.

Ocena obiektu pozytywna - wakacje oceniamy jako udane, chętnie wrócimy do domku

Świetna lokalizacja - bezpośrednio z ośrodka wychodzi się na wydmy. Po przyjeździe czekało na nas wino musujące w ramach powitania.

Na terenie ośrodka teoretycznie jest basen - niewielki, płytki, raczej dla dzieci, Brak mikrofalówki, brak filtrów do ekspresu kawowego, jedno okno było problematyczne przy zamykaniu i uszkodzony parasol przeciwsłoneczny. Poza tym domek należycie wyposażony i utrzymany. Mimo że ośrodek jest ogrodzony - mieliśmy incydent z próbą nocnego włamania. Od tego dnia dokładnie zamykaliśmy się przed snem. Sprawę zgłosiliśmy obsłudze - nie było żadnych dalszych czynności, przy ośrodku i na jego terenie brak monitoringu.

Sixteen bungalows in a quiet setting

Next to sand dunes and close to Cita shopping centre. Solarium on roof great for sunbathing. Bungalow was very well equipped.

Our bungalow was next to the reception and cleaning staff were noisy at 8am. Water in pool was cold.

Such a great find

Really great size property and amazing location. The bungalows are in a quiet compound with a supermarket just a short walk away and the dunes just behind. The roof terrace gave amazing views and was a great place to relax privately and peacefully in the sun. For our 7-night stay the place was cleaned daily and we got a change of towels. The shower was amazing and we had so much space in the property. Good size cupboards in bedroom. Back terrace we used for drying clothes. Front terrace had patio table and chairs. Roof terrace had sun loungers.

There were no toiletries and no soap in the bathroom. Would have been good to be aware of this as we could have picked some up enroute. Despite being very warm during the day it got quite chilly overnight. There were duvets available but no duvet covers. We found the pillows quite uncomfortable and they did impact our sleep Reception was closed during our stay, so had to collect keys from another hotel up the road. This also created a barrier to getting assistance.

High quality bungalows in a superb location

I often choose accommodation that is frequented by Germans, particularly in the Canary Islands, because Germans have higher standards and expect better quality. Club Primavera proves my point. German guests in the neighbouring bungalow told me that they were staying for three weeks and they've been coming every year since the 1990s. The location is ideal - right next to the extensive Maspalomas dunes, a 10-minute walk to the bars and restaurants of Playa del Ingles, and close to the southernmost populated point of the area with a 2.3km walk through the dunes to Playa de Maspalomas. There are 16 bungalows, 8 on each side. I asked for a bungalow closest to the dunes, and we were given bungalow 8, which had the best location of all. Bungalow 9 is also closest to the dunes. Bungalows 1 to 8 have sun in the morning, and bungalows 9 to 16 have sun in the evening. The television has a satellite receiver connected to Astra 19.2°E, which is far more impressive than any hotel. Although it seems to be tuned only to German-speaking channels, I eventually found BBC World after I scrolled through almost 700 channels. So there are other language channels if you look hard enough. There are plenty of power sockets everywhere, including one each side of the bed and two in the bathroom. Our bungalow was cleaned on Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. Other bungalows were being cleaned on Sunday, so maybe cleaning days vary by bungalow. I was impressed that the wardrobes are 56cm deep, which allows full-sized cabin baggage to be left fully open inside the wardrobe, keeping the room very tidy. The safe is the largest I've seen in any tourist accommodation. It's the same size as a hotel minibar, so even the largest laptop would fit. But security isn't an issue because there are always guests sitting outside their bungalows who would notice any suspicious activity.

The kitchen is modern and well-equipped but unfortunately there's no dishwasher. There is air conditioning only in the main room, not in the bedroom; this ought to be the other way round.

Very peaceful stay,

Location is excellent, right on the Dunes, with a fantastic view to the sea. Loads of amenities nearby, walking distance to plenty of things without feeling like you're in the middle of a busy town. Very quiet, very private - only 16 bungalows, in a gated community, small pool, small sun terrace. Cleaning service was second to none! Full clean of the bungalow everyday, including bed, towels, rubbish emptying and even making a small play area for our daughter out of spare duvet, blankets, cushions etc! Very spacious for a couple with a child, large bedroom, small kitchen, table inside, table outside on the patio and a sun terrace on the roof. Grounds & pool were kept immaculate throughout and very pretty. The back gate to the dunes can be opened from the outside - using the same key as the front gate! Staff at the Excelsior II (key collection/management) were so friendly and helpful (it is only a 5 min walk too) Staff at the bungalows were also excellent.

Bungalows could definitely do with an upgrade, the décor and facilities are a bit tired. The template is there, they are very spacious with a great setup: large room, decent bathroom, small kitchen, indoor table, patio, roof terrace etc. Could do with a little modernisation. Pool was too cold to use comfortably (First week of Feb) despite assurances that it's heated. I could have braved it, but not my 9 month old daughter!

Nice accommodation and location

Very nice accommodation, perfectly located next to the dunes. Restaurants are within walking distance as well as supermarkets.

Perhaps the emergency exit could also be used to go to the beach quicker and more conveniently. But it is not that much of an inconvenience, more a quality improvement.

Superb

Perfect location. Right in front of the Dunes, with the amazing view of the sea washing the shores of the desert. The center is close, restaurants, supermarkets, shopping mall is 5-10 minutes walk. It is a calm and relaxing spot. Great place to refresh!

The apartment is very convenient for a couple but I doubt it is also convenient for more people.

Nice and quiet bungalow close to the Dunas.

Very nice and quiet garden with 16 bungalows. Staff very friendly and the bungalows where well equipped and clean. Good mattresses in beds.

Only downside was related to sand from the Dunes blowing over the garden when it was windy but this is something to aspect due to the closeness to the sand Dunes.

Really great value for money, great experience overall!

Literally everything! Such a great little resort, would come back again! Strongly recommend!

Only some furniture and appliances could be renewed. Light cosmetic uplift here and there inside the rooms, but definitely nothing major.

Perfect location close to the dune, nice solarium on top of bungalow. Friendly personal when available.

Bed cover not long enough, I was not able to properly cover during the night when sleeping. Cover is ridiculous shorter after being washed many times ( 1.5 m / 2 m ) I requested 3x times a longer and I received the same old , used many time, tiny and very short cover. Very disappointed of that. Please for the future include a real cover of at least 2.5 m / 2 m.

Thoroughly enjoyable and relaxing stay!

Good-size bungalows. Very clean and tidy (maid service 5 times per week). Well-equipped kitchen (hob, oven, kettle, toaster, coffee machine, fridge - plenty of kitchenware, utensils, etc.). No microwave oven, but wasn’t needed. Nice bathroom with large shower. Excellent storage space in both the bedroom and vestibule. Large safe. Beautifully maintained communal grounds, pool, sun terrace. Private roof terrace. Access to rear of complex direct onto dunes. Good location - no more than 1km-1.5km walking distance (approx up to 20-25mins) from the majority of attractions/amenities in the local area. All the pictures I have seen of this complex and of the inside of the bungalows are extremely accurate so there are no hidden ‘surprises’ when you get here.

Although had direct access onto dunes from rear of the complex, you couldn’t get back in that way as the lock on the outside didn’t work! So had to walk all the way around to the front. Whilst the location is extremely picturesque with amazing views of the dunes and the sea, this did mean on very windy days there was large amounts of sand blowing into the complex - which required constant sweeping (3 times a day) in order to keep our sun terrace tidy. Many people who have reviewed this property have complained about the lack of privacy in regard to the sun terrace at the front of each bungalow. I can understand why some people feel that there’s no real privacy but it didn’t really bother us. If you want total privacy, you can go up to your own private roof terrace. Otherwise, take the opportunity to get to know your neighbour!! My only other dislike to be honest was the fact that we had to check-in at another location to pay for our bungalow and collect the keys and then go on to the complex. It’s not a big thing but when you’ve just got off your flight, gone through all the usual airport hassles, etc. you just want to go straight to your accommodation, get the key, unpack and relax.
