Breakfast room is heaven on earth. An extraordinary experience all round. You could spend a morning just walking around the inside of the hotel looking at everything that has been collected over the years. Very clean rooms with extremely comfortable beds.

The best 4 star hotel I had in Switzerland. It is very quiet, has the perfect view towards the lake. The foto was take from the balcony of my hotel room. I can only recommend.

It is actually 4 km from the railway station. The train to Glion is every 1 hour. After that, you need to walk upward, it was quite demanding, especially when you have luggage. Better to take a taxi. But I will still choose here when I come to Montreux next time.

A beautiful hotel in an exceptional location above the city. Perfectly lovely! Staff was warm and kind, amenities were delightful, view was exceptional, food was delicious. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

We were very pleased with the helpful staff for the hotel and restaurant, and we even met the friendly owners. Everything was high quality and the hotel is decorated very uniquely in the Victorian theme. Its a very comfortable place to spend the night as we did and enjoy the hospitality!

Scenic location, historical style

Restaurant is extremely posh and everyone is a bit stuck up.

On the day we stayed you ran out of several items on the breakfast buffet before we arrived to eat at 9:30. The buffet was not up to standard. The staff was friendly but pressured and uncomfortable.

In our room there was a small step downward from the bedroom to the bathroom which we tripped on several times. No one told us about this deformation including the friendly man who accompanied us to the room. We are fortunate we did not suffer a fall. This is truly inappropriate.

Unbelievable view over the mountains and the lake of Geneva. Traditional perfect Swiss hotel. Nice restaurant with a terrasse in a beautiful garden. great pool area and a well prepared tennis court. Great experience.

So much to like, but the unique ambiance and plethora of art and antiques are what really marks this hotel out as a cut above the rest. And they do not charge for parking—some of which is covered. Easy access to Montreux via Territet–Glion funicular. Free public transport pass from reception.

The only small criticism is that some surfaces have gathered a bit of dust—guess the spring-clean will sort that out.

Except the two mentioned staff members, all the junior receptionists and other staff and waiters were all v nice

Upon arrival we saw an old and bold man at the reception who refused to return my 'bonjour' greeting. Anyway the guy had no idea about swiss regulations concerning receiving guests in hotels. He confused requirements to enter the country with those of accommodation. He requested a 'covid certificate' and a test. So we showed him the vaccination codes and i told him we're not required to present a test, he insisted and got very mad and stubborn. He kept arguing rudely. I tried to explain to him but he wouldnt listen. He even didnt know what a covid certificate is and that its proof of vaccination. He then very rudely said ok ok whatever and started thereon directing his speech to my husband! That is upon arrival!! I was so badly shaken that we had to go out immediately after dropping our bags in the room so we could calm down. This hotel receptionist fought with us and for what? for him being confused about the rules!!! The funny thing is that when accessing the hotel's restaurant they didnt ask for our vaccination which they should have according to regulations. I wanted to leave but had no choice but to stay the night. Again in the evening, a female manager kept interrogating me when i told reception that i was expecting a letter by post! And why and why did i order it to the hotel!!! Needless to say never again! hospitality is about welcome and kindness and making your guest feel at home! not the way we were treated at all. I can't believe i paid them for this! Last word is for all the nice staff that might be working under such management (that is if these two were managers), i really feel for you! Mind you none of the other receptionists or staff were the same. They were all really nice.

The location is superb, the staff welcoming and attentive, the food excellent.

This is an older hotel so it is quirky but in a really good way. Our room was very spacious and really enjoyed having both a tub and a shower. We had a terrific view. Food was excellent, we had dinner and breakfast the next morning. Staff was top notch.

This is more of a note rather than a complaint. The hotel is located outside of Montreaux up a steep hill. It has a funicular (which was under construction while we were there but they had a shuttle service operating.) This means it is quiet and has amazing views but also means no quick walks to restaurants or other attractions. The restaurant on site is terrific but also a bit pricey so be aware if you are watching your budget.
