Great option for several nights in Istanbul!

+ Great service: reception employees, cleaning staff, server at the breakfast - everyone was very friendly, welcoming, and helpful. + Amazing breakfast! The variety was not too big, but everything was delicious and freshly made. Eggs? Perfect consistency and well-seasoned. French fries? Made in a pan out of real potato slices. Cheeses, olives, and other starters? Wonderful. They also serve Turkish coffee on request. + Our first room (for a family of three) was very small, but upon request we were moved to a very comfortable room with more space. + Excellent location: very central, literally down the street from the Sultanahmet Square, but the windows were aimed at quiet streets. If you see train tracks out of your windows, don't be bothered: the trains did not disturb us at all, and we slept with open windows. + There is an elevator (not a given for historic buildings) + The beds might seem pretty hard at first, but they are very comfortable! No issues with sleep whatsoever. + The hotel is relatively small, so there are no crowds at breakfast or in the lobby. The building itself is historic and looks very cute.

- Probably because of the historic building, there are not many sockets in the rooms. - If you have loud neighbors, you will hear them well.

Can’t be faulted.

We were made to feel very welcome immediately. Our room with balcony and views to the sea was spotless and cleaned daily. The breakfast was ample and delicious, with fresh recipes daily. The location was very quiet and the Mosques were nearby. It was a beautiful walk, past the sights , to get to the tram to move around the city with ease. If only more hotels had such a family vibe with attention to detail and courtesy.

Estambul en familia.

Muy céntrico, el personal muy amable y educado, la limpieza muy bien.

Los baños, súper pequeños y olían a desagüe, la limpieza era correcta, pero las olores lo estropean. Las habitaciones una pequeña a penas cabían las maletas para dos y la otra nos dieron una de cuatro para dos, así que perfecto.

Великолепный отель! Тот случай, когда в реальности всё еще лучше. Во-первых, персонал: любые просьбы решались быстро, мы чувствовали себя действительно желанными гостями, о которых постоянно заботятся. Мы отдыхали с маленьким ребенком, и было очень удобно, что нам предоставили детскую кроватку и стульчик для кормления. Сотрудники - самая большая гордость этого отеля: такие радушные, заботливые, вежливые! Отдельное спасибо Халиту (Halit, thank You!!!), помогал нам во всем от вызова такси до отправки почтовых открыток. Во-вторых, завтрак и уборка номеров - всё на достойном уровне, в номере приборка идеальная, всё пополняли без просьб и напоминаний. На завтраке есть всё необходимое: овощи, фрукты, салаты, выпечка. Очень вкусное гёзлеме! Ну и в-третьих, это местоположение, просто шикарное! Вроде и самый центр, но улочка уютная, не шумная, одна из самых милых улочек в Стамбуле! Обязательно будем рекомендовать друзьям и с радостью вернемся сами! Успехов и процветания!

We had a wonderful time and would absolutely return again as soon as possible!

Perfect location, just absolutely incredible to walk through this area every day. And lots of great restaurant options nearby for dinner. Nice to have a view over the city (ask for a higher floor for more view) helpful staff, good breakfast to start the day, comfortable and clean. Beautiful staircase made it feel like living in history.

If you visit in the summer and you are heat sensitive, be sure to talk with the booking staff about this. Some of their cooling equipment is out of date.

Excellent property, cleanliness and reception staff

Centrally located with beautiful views of the sea. Very clean and very good breakfast with variety of food. The cleaning staff were very accommodating and reception staff on 30 August and 31 August were very friendly, helpful and went out of their way to help out on our needs. Well done and keep it up. Will surely revisit in the near future.

Relaxed, comfortable and staff eager to assist you

Clean rooms, they were cleaned daily. Comfortable beds. Great breakfast. Great location. friendly staff and cleaners.

Walls are thin so you can hear everything in the room next door. Was quite hot in our room as well, AC wasn’t working.

A warm welcome to Istanbul from a welcoming team in a charming hotel in a great location.

Fantastic location and wonderful views from the balcony of the Marmara Sea and the Asian side of Istanbul. Hotel very clean hotel throughout and the most comfortable hotel bed I’ve ever slept in! Staff all very welcoming, friendly and happy to help with anything. A birthday cake with candles was a lovely surprise!

The bathroom was small and a bit cramped (but small room proportions in such a central location in Sultanahmet are understandable).

Overall really nice place and I can definitely recommend it

Excellent location, super helpful and friendly staff, good breakfast. You cannot find a better place location wise, historical must see buildings, parks, museums, bazars just a few mins walk on one side, and the sea view on the other side (we had a room with a balcony). If you take a walk on a promenade towards Ahırkapı lighthouse around 17-18.00, you can actually see lots of dolphins, some of them are very close to the shore!

the hotel is a bit run down and some bedroom/bathroom renovation could really upgrade the place . Wifi was ok, but it was required to enter password every time we opened our phones, otherwise it kicks you out of the network.

Location, very clean, good breakfast and friendly staff.

Perfect location, 5 minutes light walking to Blue Mosque, but also very quiet place having in mind that it is in the heart of old Istanbul. Staff is very helpful and friendly but also very professional. They are ready to support in every possible way. Room was very very clean, not so big, ( we used two single beds room ), its more then enough for sleeping over the night.

Maybe would be good if in the fridge, there are some beverages beside water, maybe some coke or some juice.

Recommend for families visiting Istanbul

The exceptional service from Manager to all staff. Halit, Ziya, Mahmoud, Onur will be remembered always and wherever we go will be a benchmark for others.

The toilet & bathroom require some renovation.

A great location with staff with real kind heart

It was my family trip to Istanbul. we have stayed Historia hotel total 6 nights. 1st four nights then after 3 days again 2 nights. Hotel best components are Location and Staff behaviour and hospitality. Specially thanks to Mr. Halid and Mr.Ziauddin for their great support and hospitality. I am strongly recommending this hotel for stay.

Washroom amenities are good but there are scope to development.

The staff at this hotel are absolutely fantastic. Turndown service on daily basis without you having to even ask for it. Staff go out of their way to help you.

Rooms are a bit small but that is to be expected in this area. Restaurant only serves Breakfast.

Great and surprising!

the Hotel has a great position and the staff was so kind and available to suggest us were to go to have a perfect holiday. On the Eve they reserve for us one of the best experience we had on the Bosphorus! We’ll choose it again!

It is located in the very heart of Istanbul, I was traveling with my junior yet we were able to reach the most iconic places on foot. The park nearby is awesome. People working here are the best. Our room was stuffed with everything we needed, the breakfast was great too.

The location was excellent. Right in the middle of both tourist and local activity. Many restaurants to choose from, and a tourist market very close. The view from the room over the water was lovely. The breakfast was excellent. The place was quiet at night and very clean.The linens were nice

The beds were beyond firm - they were hard. We were in a twin-bedded room. It was VERY small - maybe nine by twelve feet. The furniture was cheap and battered, and the ugly brown carpeting had a big cigarette burn in it. The room reminded me of the cheap bed and breakfast rooms near train stations in London. It was adequate, BUT it ought not command the price of 165 Euros, nor should it get booking.com ratings in excess of 9

Great location with compact room

Hotel is conveniently located within walking distance of 5-10 minutes to Sultanahmet, Aya Sofya and Topkapi palace. The staff of Hanith, the Manager and Mahmud, the person incharge for breakfast was very helpful and kind.

Little bit overpriced considering the compact room size.
