Situated in Lake Lure, this charming cabin for £605 per night is a fantastic choice for your next trip. Looking for an amazing mountain getaway while still being able to work from your home away from home? Come and visit us at Highlands Mountain Lodge at Rumbling Bald Golf, Resort & Spa. Lake Lure, NC. Our cabin offers a High Speed Internet access so you can work from home or stream your favorite movies. This warm and cozy log and fieldstone home offers amazing mountain views and lake views during the winter season. The home offers 6 bedrooms and 5 full baths with about 4250 square feet of living space. It has 4 King, 4 Queen beds and an additional daybed & Twin located in the loft. Each of the 6 bedrooms are attached to a full bath. Two of the bedrooms share one full bath (Jack and Jill). This home has 3 floors. The loft bedroom is located on the lowest level. The home has seasonal views of Lake Lure, but year-round you can hear the water and the waves. Home also offers 2 fire pits. This home is perfect for friends/family reunions, vacation and golfers. You will have access to all the Resort amenities. Bring the entire family together under one roof. The home has 3 levels, a vaulted great room with rustic log walls and wide plank wood floors. It has a bank of windows facing the lake, 2 leather sofas, large fieldstone gas log fireplace and a high definition 65 inch+ flat screen with AppleTV with access to hundreds of movies, Netflix, Roku with HULU Subscription and Live TV Streaming, and Internet. The home is equipped with electric car charger for our guests to use. Ask the owner for more information. A wood dining table seats 10 on the kitchen area, 4 seats along the breakfast counter and 8 on the dining table next to the fireplace. The kitchen is equipped with a range, side-by-side refrigerator/freezer, dishwasher, microwave, toaster, coffee maker (K-Cup & Traditional drip combo machine), blender, skillet, slow cooker, and more. Off the lower level patio area is a 6 person hot tub. Please note that this home does not have a garage. Trash cannot be left outside the home as we have a bear problem getting into trash. Therefore, you must take your trash to the trash cage by the road. Trash pick up is on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays. Please make sure the cage is secure at all times so the bear and raccoons and other animals can't get in to make a mess. Main Level: On this main level are TWO master bedrooms each with with a king bed, TV and private baths. It is a rare find to have 2 master on the main floor. Upstairs Level: There are 3 bedrooms: one has 2 Queen beds, private balcony, desk, and private bath. The other two bedrooms share a full bath and with king beds. King bed facing the lake is also set up with a desk. Lower Level: On this level there is a 6th bedroom with 2 Queen beds and a private bath. There is also a separate loft with a twin size futon bed and a twin bed. On this level there is a second family room with a leather sectional sofa, 75-inch flat screen TV with AppleTV with hundreds of movie choices, DVD player, Netflix, Roku and HULU Subscription with Live TV, and Internet, stone fireplace with gas logs and solid wood table with 6 chairs. This lower level has a mahogany pool table next to a bar area with a sink and refrigerator. The lower level also has a large laundry room which features a full-size washer and dryer and 2 full size refrigerator. Once your reservation has been confirmed, lease agreement is signed and rent is fully paid, you will be given access instructions. You will proceed straight to the home and you will be given a code that will be activated for the duration of your stay. Resort passes will be left for you upon your arrival. Golf carts are available by calling the Resort. They offer 4 passenger, gas golf carts. PLEASE NOTE THE RESORT DOES NOT ALLOW MOTORCYCLES OR RVs. They must be parked in the Resort lot. Due to a recent bear problem, all guests have to haul out their own garbage. There are Resort dumpsters nearby. Please let owner now if additional pool passes in the excess of 8 will be needed. Please follow the check-out instructions to receive a full refund security deposits

This property is exactly as advertised. Shared by 6 couples and we had a wonderful 4 night stay. We played golf at Apple Valley at Rumbling Bald which is a little challenging but beautiful. We rented a Pontoon on Friday for 4 hours and enjoyed the many different views and beautiful homes on Lake Lure. While there are many things to do we really enjoyed are stay at this fabulous cabin and spent more time there than planned because it was just picture perfect, Our host May was very responsive to questions and needs. A family of 10 to 16 would be very wise to rent this beautiful cabin or 6 couples as we did.
A return trip may be in the cards!

I can't begin to express how truly wonderful our experience was at the Highland Mountain Lodge for my parents' 60th wedding anniversary celebration! From the moment we arrived, we knew we were in for a special treat.
One of the highlights of this fantastic lodge was the abundance of beautiful areas to gather and make memories. The multiple porches provided the perfect spots for our extended family to relax, catch up, and enjoy the breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains. Whether it was sipping morning coffee or toasting to my parents' milestone anniversary during the golden hour, each porch offered a unique and unforgettable experience.
The entertainment options were top-notch, adding a dash of fun to our celebration. Gathering around the pool table brought out the competitive spirit in all of us and led to laughter-filled evenings. And who could forget the delightful hot tub? It quickly became the go-to spot to unwind after a day filled with activities, soaking our worries away under the twinkling night sky.
As for the heart of any family gathering—the kitchen surpassed all expectations. And let's not forget the comfort of the beds! After an eventful day, sinking into the plush and cozy beds was wonderful.
Moreover, Mae, the owner, is incredibly friendly and accommodating, ensuring that our stay was nothing short of spectacular. Highly recommend!

We had the best time at this lake house. Being on the resort was also a major positive since we were traveling with a large family group who at times wanted to do different things. Completely serene and relaxing and the house manager was exceptional in communication. House was fantastic! Zero complaints and highly recommend!

Party of 13 and we were able to cook, eat and hang out with ease. Great entertainment with pool and fooseball. Relax at fire pit or hot tub. Awesome stay! Felt very private and beautiful views from the multiple levels of porches and large windows in great room. Driveway is very steep and may require four wheel drive in inclement weather.

We had a beautiful stay at this lovely house for my husbands 65th birthday in late August. There were 8-9 of us all week. Plenty of room for everyone to gather on the first floor for games and dining. The kitchen is incredibly well stocked, I brought my oversized cooking vessels, knives etc but did not need too, there were plenty of knives, utensils and large pots and pans to cook for a group. We only asked that our guests each make a dinner one night and no one had any complaints about the kitchen. Except there was a small issue with the k-cups not consistently being pierced properly for coffee. The two extra full sized refrigerator on the lower level allowed for everyone to have plenty of room for what they brought or bought. A sink back up was quickly addressed by May who sent a plumber asap.
We really didn't use the fire pits as the heat kept us indoors or on the lake. The front porch was often the spot for cozy chats. We had a great day renting a pontoon boat, and another outing for a VIP tour of Sierra Nevada Brewery in the Asheville area, courtesy of a nephew of one of our crew. Highly recommend that tour! The girls spent a day in Chimney Rock wine tasting and shopping around. My husband spent one day just an hour away at the BMW Drivers School in Spartanburg, SC and loved it! The rest of the time we laid around, went hiking, read books or played games.
The beds were very comfortable, no complaints there at all. The amenities in the bathroom were good quality and appreciated. I will say that you can hear others pretty clearly through the walls or ceiling, but we ran a fan in our room and it drowned out any noise. The person taking the bed right off the kitchen might want a white noise machine. This should not detract from anyone renting this house. It is very well done in every way! The location is great, easy to get to the grocery or nearby attractions. Pictures don't really do it justice, it is bigger than it appears and the furnishings are very beautiful, solid and upscale.

Wonderful, clean property in a great location.
Our family enjoyed our week at the property! The resort amenities were enjoyed by all. Kitchen was well stocked with plenty of seating for family meals. Lots of gathering areas inside and out. Lots of games and books to entertain in the evenings and a rainy day. Laundry area was nice and roomy!
Communication with property mgmt was always prompt and helpful.
Our only complaint would be the mattresses. Several of us experienced sore backs and necks from mattresses with very worn areas.
We just napped on the porch swings each afternoon to make up for it!
Overall, we had a wonderful week in this beautiful home!

Awesome Property
This property was exactly as described. The kitchen was fully stocked, the bath rooms and bed rooms were clean and very comfortable, the game room was also very well stocked with games and all the grills and fire pits had adequate gas. However, one of the best parts of my experience was the professionalism and quick reply's for the host May. Her help very much made the stay that much better. Best VRBO rep I have ever worked with!!!!!!!!

We were a family of 10 looking for a relaxed getaway. This home was perfect- lots of room to spread out. Enjoyed both fire pits and the big play room downstairs. May was quick to respond to any questions! Also enjoyed a day in Chimney Rock Village and the playground on the beach at Rumbling Bald.

Excellent family trip
Our family of 13 thoroughly enjoyed our week together in this lovely cabin. The owner is so easy to communicate with and helpful. There was plenty of room, the kitchen was extremely well stocked and the pool and beach were lots of fun. Enjoyed the mountains,lake, and cooler air. Was worth the half hour drive to experience the Lake Lure Flowering Bridge.

The property was very clean and the house was spacious for everyone to have a room. There were 14 of us in total. The resort was well kept. We just didn’t get to do a lot because they were making preparations for the busy season. Everything is pretty far away (grocery store, sight seeing, etc) but this house is a perfect getaway stop. Any questions or needs we had were met with immediate response. Highly recommend!
