Perfect stay in the New Forest

The house was a good size and the beds were very comfortable. It is in a great location with ponies coming right up outside.

A brilliant stay, right in the heart of the New Forrest. Great base for a family holiday. Well equipped clean accommoda

The location of this property was amazing. A couple of hundred yards into the village just across from common grazing land and a few mins into open wide spaces ideal for walking or biking. Great to have visits from the horses, cows and donkeys right outside the house. Three ample bedrooms and well equipped kitchen .

The only thing we possibly moan about, and I have seen others have commented on as well, was no lock on the bathroom door, (only one toilet) , especially as we were a mixed age family… regrettably no privacy, ,

Excellent location with lots of donkeys visiting and bringing their foals.

Location of three bedroom house was excellent, within walking distance to main part of Brockenhurst. Owners thought of everything to make our stay enjoyable, even leaving pack of choc biscuits and milk. Towels and tea towels provided.Tea, coffee etc plus items such as washing up liquid, toilet rolls, kitchen roll etc plus picnic plates were all there to use, also various leaflets/maps regarding New Forest. We also had note letting us know if we want anything, please let them know. Very thoughtful owners to even include a first aid box (which luckily we did not use!) Only down side - only one upstairs toilet. Very homely and a lot of thought put into making visitors' stay enjoyable - worth the money.

Very nice for a short stay

Excellent location. Spacious. Good sized garden

Poor quality bedding. Towels not big enough and looked old. Furniture not very stylish or modern. This house was better than it looked in the photographs and was perfectly adequate for one night. I would want somewhere more stylish for a week's stay but that is just personal preference.

Great stay in the heart of the New Forest

Lovely tidy house close to the village centre. Lots of board games and books available. Everything you need in the kitchen, even a cafetière. Good size bath, the house is very quiet you can’t hear the traffic outside. Rooms are decorated nicely with comfy fresh bedding. Lots of towels, too and extra blankets in case it gets cold. They thought of everything that a normal household has like ironing board, baby high chair, hoover, etc.

Mattresses are very soft which gave me back pain but I guess that’s preference. Despite stated in the inventory there were no toiletries. We didn’t bring shower gel or shampoo which wasn’t a huge problem since the shops are only 5min walking distance away.

Absolutely loved the area and thoroughly enjoyed the holiday.

Spotlessly clean comfortable property on main road into village. Just 10 minutes walk up road and turn right for tesco express and village centre or turn left for 2 pubs and an italian restaurant. Horses ponies and foals everywhere including right outside the front garden, even got woken up by a cow mooing! Huge open grasslands all around, plenty of walking cycling routes close at hand. A fabulous spot from which to explore the new forest. Really glad I found this house and chose Brockenhurst for our stay rather than Lyndhurst. Would definitely book again.

Only minor gripe the lock on the bathroom door a bit sticky maybe not so good if you had children with you and the induction hob bit tricky to use juggling the size of the pans, otherwise splendid.

Family and fun

It was easy to find nr everything to do with the new Forrest and the sea also there was milk . tea and coffee although we bought it ourselves .

Great house in great location

great house in perfect location. Thoughtful owners providing some of the basics that are often missing - olive oil, tea/coffee, washing up stuff etc.

check out at 10am is a little earlier than we would have liked

Lovely location but property is a little outdated

Ponies and donkeys on the doorstep were amazing! Biscuits, milk and cleaning products were greatly appreciated.

Ant problem in conservatory. Lampshade in main bedroom too low so was difficult to avoid banging your head. One upstairs toilet for 5 guests was a bit awkward. Noisy boiler in twin room meant heating/hot water had to be switched off so that children could sleep.

What a lovely house! So bright, spacious and warm! Pretty art canvases are adding to the cheerful and joyful atmosphere. The sun room is just a perfect place for family games and reading time. Our children absolutely loved the book collection. It was such a cute personal toch! The location is just ideal. You are literally 10-15 min drive from all the iconic places: Beaulieu, Lymington, Burley. And of course the hosts are just the sweetest people ever !

Excellent location and house hd everything we needed.

Excellent location and great for parking. Facilities in the house were good and had everything we needed. Beds were comfortable and owner provided a cot for our toddler. Neighbours were friendly.

Road outside got busy in the morning and evening and rooms could have been a little cleaner.

Excellent location, and great comms from our host!

Location is perfect for those wanting to explore the new forest. You're a stones throw from Brockenhurst (lots of great pubs and eateries) and short drives to Lyndhurst, Lymington etc. House was a perfect size for the 4 of us - good amenities to cook our own dinner!

Wonderful stay. We’d love to come back!

Conservatory was lovely to see the birds in the garden, the chairs were very comfy downstairs, the pictures on the walls were beautiful, the location was great to walk to the centre. The kitchen had everything you needed and more. Biscuits and milk were a nice touch.

One bed in twin room was very squeaky, so unable to sleep well.

Excellent!

It’s clean, great location when exploring New Forest, well equipped kitchen, and the hosts Sally and Andrew are thoughtful and friendly. We saw horses free roaming outside the house:-) We only stayed for one night and wish we could stay longer! It’s very peaceful. Would definitely recommend.
