The property is great for large or multiple families. We had three families with children aging 10 through 16. The ski out was extremely helpful as it gave each family / group of kids to hit the mountain whenever they wanted. However, like prior posts stated, the ski in was less than ideal. It is quite a trek to get back to the house and would be very difficult to do with little ones. Thank goodness our kids were a little bit older and able to manage. Some of us ended up driving to the base in order to avoid the ski home.

Great set up for friends and family. We travel with 4 families each year and this is one of the best houses. Good set up for kids of all ages.

Great house in great location.
Lots of space with all the extras that really make a difference (Hot tub with a view, Garage, extra fridge, Pool table, ping pong table).

Large moderately-maintained older ski home, easy ski OUT, but not really ski-IN. Arrived to find no grate in wood-burning fireplace, and no blender, but property manager corrected this promptly. Also no baking/cookie sheets in kitchen, hot water faucet in master bath had broken handle. Property decoration is dated/home needs remodel and deep cleaning. Home does sleep many people with good amount of privacy. Large hot tub and double-sized ski boot heater were appreciated.

Loved it, had a great time, loved the house. Only complaint would be that the ski in wasn't really ski in, the ski out was great, but a lot of work to ski back in.

Luckily everything went smooth. No breakdowns or anything we couldn’t handle ourselves. The house was fantastic the ski in/out was responsible. The management company was a no show. I emailed them 3 days before asking for an ealrly check in due to an NFL game. Perfectly content if the answer was “no” but I never received an answer. Not only that I never received the code to get into the house. Luckily the front door was unlocked because I callled 3x and never talked to a soul or had any of my 3 messages returned. I feel bad writing this review, because I met the owner of the house, but the management company failed completely. If we were to have an issue, which we did not, but if we did who would answer my call. House was good. Stereo system was nonexistent. Hot tub worked. Management was non existent. Last thought, when we showed up they have two washers and two dryes. All of them were full with wet or dry sheets and towels. As if we were to take care of the laundry of the guest before. We decided to fold and finish 4 giant loads of laundry. To make sure no one thought we were the ones the created it all. We left the house 5x better then we found it and if they say otherwise I will make sure they are corrected. Pics and video go a long ways when you have no contacts. Sorry and at the same time thank you. We had a great time but the extra mile we went that you didn’t, leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

Lone Mountain
Great home, huge ( almost needed GPS mapping to explore all the rooms). A few minor glitches with key pad (dead battery) entry. Hot tub needed attention from tech on 2 separate days. Having said that, Porter (our contact) was very helpful and was able to address the minor problems rapidly and pleasantly. Thanks,Porter!
The location and views were inspiring, the pool table and ping pong table got a workout, our entire family was impressed with this property! Comfortable, relaxing, and made for a wonderful family vacation. Thank you!!

The house was awesome! Spread out bedrooms and bathrooms really made for great gathering spaces with privacy when needed. Hot tub took the first night to warm up, but after that it was great to have after a day on the slopes. Getting back to the house was a bit confusing at first from the mountain, even with the detailed directions - but after we figured it out it was much better (still quite a bit of skating for skiers, snowboarders be warned). Ping pong table was missing some pieces for set-up, but overall the house really was great. Pool table is set up quite nicely in the loft and made for great hang out spot. Lots of extra cloths/linens/towels for everyone. Boot warmers and hallway cubby/coat racks are a nice touch for skiing groups. I would recommend to any large family/groups looking for a nice private house somewhat close to the slopes!

House was very accommodating for large group, and had splendid views. (Just for information -- fan in upstairs bedroom will not shut off; larger coffee pot had a crack that leaked brewed coffee so carafe should be replaced; one casement window onto porch tends to drop from its opening/closing mechanism; deadbolt locks must have some sort of trick for locking that we had difficulty figuring out; thermostats should all be turned off because when we arrived one bedroom was extremely warm; it should be advertised that there is no a/c, but that it is really not needed) All of this is just for information. We had a wonderful time there!

The house is a great setup for a large group and close to downtown Big Sky and not too far from the West Entrance to Yellowstone. There is more than enough room for everyone to have their own space but also plenty of open space for congregating as a larger group. The house is well stocked to be able to cook meals at home.
The only constructive comments are that we didn't have toilet paper and bath products fully stocked when we arrived but the management company promptly addressed this concern. The house is getting a bit run down in certain ways and some of the appliances (i.e., large coffee maker) didn't work, but we had an amazing time and would definitely come back!

this was the most perfect place I have ever stayed. My entire family loved how spacious the home was for everyone. We all enjoyed the many amenities. The owners thought of everything. Would recommend this home to anyone.

The property was fantastic, and fully stocked. We enjoyed the hot tub every night while watching the wildlife! But bring bug spray because there are mosquitoes in the early morning and late evening.
We got to see a mama and baby moose (who hung around the property for a couple days), deer, elk and a coyote!
The dryer in the house didn’t work, and most of the TVs were not hooked up, but someone came out right away and fixed the tv problem and there was a working dryer in the garage.
The house has two dishwashers and three refrigerators, including the fully stocked kitchen upstairs above the garage. We enjoyed eating outside on the deck. We had a party of 8, including two teens, and we all had a nice time.

Luxury living with views you cannot beat!
We rented this place for Spring Break with three families (13 people total). There was more than enough room for every family/person to have their privacy, but also large areas for communal hang out. Absolutely spectacular views of Lone Peak, especially from the hot tub. The Kitchen was incredible, and it felt like we were cooking in a commercial kitchen space. The house was clean, had plenty of towels and linens for a group our size, and had so many fantastic touches/amenities (boot dryers, fireplace in the master, drying racks, pool table, upgraded bathrooms, etc.).
The management company was so wonderful and responsive to our needs. We had two minor issues with the hot tub and grill, but after a phone call to the management company, maintenance guys were there the same day to address the issues. Fantastic communication and responsiveness. Probably the best I have ever worked with.
The only negative I will say is that it is a sort of stretch to call it "Ski in." This was a ski trip for us, and we skied 6 out of 7 days. The house is only two doors down from the White Otter lift, so skiing into Base Camp was no problem at all. A gentle run down to the lift with a drop in on the bottom 1/4 of the White Wing run. Skiing back in the afternoon was a different story. It's a pretty long run back to the cabin. Take the Explorer lift, cut across White Wing to the Bozeman Trail run. The Bozeman Trail run is nice and easy with beautiful views. Pass the White Otter Condos and take the path to the left down to Rising Bull Road. The problem is from there, it is a pretty long, DEAD FLAT, stretch along the side of Rising Bull Road. You have to cross a dirt road to the Bulldog Run, which then puts you down the hill from the Cabin. You are either cross country skiing, skating or using your poles for a long time, and you are usually pretty gassed when you get back to the house. Our group started to say we "Ski Out, Skate In." Its a nitpick thing, but having stayed at other condos in Big Sky, its not as ski in/ski out as we would have liked.
All in all, a wonderful place for a large group or family. Would absolutely stay here again.
