About this house rental
Nestled in St Marys, this lovely house for £90 per night is a fantastic choice for your next trip. This lovely, well-appointed, down-to-earth charmer is a rare find in the St. Mary's community. Located in a residential area, minutes from the picturesque waterfront and the ferry to Cumberland Island, it is perfect for a family. The master BR and bath are on the opposite side of the house from the two other bedrooms and second bath, affording plenty of quiet for tired parents. A well lit walkway along the side of the home leads to a huge backyard surrounded by privacy fencing.*(Please see additional guest info in last paragraph) An umbrella covered picnic table with charcoal grill as well as a fire pit with large comfy Adirondack style chairs will make for a special family gathering. St. Mary's Aquatic Center (in season) is minutes away and the beach is a 35-minute drive door to sand! Day trips to Fernandina Beach, Jekyll Island or St. Simons Island are all great destinations worthy of a spot on the calendar! Don't forget Cumberland Island! Kayaks, paddleboards and bicycles can be rented at Knuckleheads at our beautiful waterfront park and you will find golf cart rentals available at St Marys Magic Market...right on Church Street. So whether you spend the day in St. Marys or take a day trip outing...adventure awaits! This is a well-loved family home, available for short stays (minimum of two nights) or longer visits (Please reach out to us should you desire a stay greater than 28 nights). Though a newer listing within the Vrbo community, this retreat is guaranteed to bring you bright and sunny peace and quiet, and enough joy to lift your spirits for the next round of reality. You will surely want to come back again and again. *Our "60's vintage" home was originally constructed with a carport having a side door which stepped into the kitchen area. A breezeway from the carport led into the backyard and was in essence the "backdoor". During a complete remodel the carport was transformed into a spacious Master suite and the "breezeway" became an additional bath with washer and dryer. A winding 5 foot walkway along the side of the home now leads to ones entry to the backyard. With its close proximity to a wonderful riverfront park and downtown area (itself having undergone recent renovations and landscaping!) we were drawn to this home with its "relaxed coastal feel" within this quiet neighborhood. The house had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The house was very clean and well organized. The location is extremely convenient to downtown st. Marys if going to Cumberland island. Access to other barrier islands was pretty convenient and we went to several other islands such as Amelia, Talbot, and Jekyll all in about a 45 minutes drive. There are nice restaurants in downtown st. Marys and a convenient grocery, gas, and pharmacy close to the house, yet the house is on a quiet street. House also works well if bringing a dog due to yard and grass if your dog doesn’t like sand like ours doesn’t!

Quaint little house but beds in back rooms are uncomfortable. The mattress on beds need to be replaced with better quality. The mattress cover in full size bed was stained and old. Wish I had pull back the sheets first. Master room ventilation is not good. It was not getting heated. Had to set temperature at 77 for some heat to get the chill to a comfortable temperature.No back door to get to the backyard

Overall very pleased with this visit. We had 5 adults so we knew from the pics that the third bedroom twin/kid beds would be a little challenging. My wife was little concerned from vrbo pics that area was not that great, but it was fine, very quiet, and quick access by car to everything in town. The large riverside park, 5 minute drive, was gorgeous and perfect meeting and play place for everyone including grandkids.

Being locals this place was perfect for our needs as we made an OCONUS transition. Main bedroom, was comfortable with a desk for remote working. Nice gathering space from kitchen to living room. Accommodated a family of four well, in additional to backyard space for friends and family to say goodbye. Host was welcoming, very responsive, and accommodating.

We were all very happy with the house. It's very cozy and cute. It had everything we needed in the kitchen and bathrooms. The location is very convenient to everything and in a nice neighborhood and has a nice fenced back yard.The hosts, Jeff and Su are amazing. They got back to me ASAP with any inquiries I had. I would definitely rent again.

This was our first trip to Saint Mary's. My husband & I plus our fur baby thoroughly enjoyed our first-time stay at this house. As other reviewers have mentioned, it is very clean, has a large fenced in backyard, and looks to be recently renovated. Whoever renovated the master bed/bath did an exceptional job & put a lot of thought into the design of it.
We like that the house isn't very "cluttered" so that we can spread out & have places to put our stuff. It is a split floor plan with master bedroom & bath away from the other 2 bedrooms and additional bathroom which is how we prefer our sleeping space.
Bedrooms, closets, & bathrooms are all spacious. The kitchen, dining room, & living areas offered plenty of space for us & our dog, and I think it would be large enough for additional people, too.
We were very pleased at the location. The house is in a quiet residential neighborhood yet very close to downtown shops, restaurants, children's playground & the Cumberland ferry and marina, just a few minutes drive away.
Also, there are extensive sidewalks & outdoor areas for walking your dog right across the street from the house and just down the road, as well as a nearby State Park with trails (about a 10 minute drive).
If we ever return to this area, which we hope to do, we will definitely rent here again. The owners thought of everything in my opinion, even providing a drawer of new toothbrushes just in case. Lastly, we appreciate owners who rent to dog lovers!!!

First I'm so glad my husband and I found this quiet little jewel. It's just off the beaten path but it was perfect for our needs. The owners were very nice and super helpful with all our questions. I loved the theme of the home and the attention to detail. The home was clean and very well equipped with almost anything you would need to make a delicious down home meal. Upon arrival one look in the cabinet and we found two kinds of coffee along with creamer and sugar!
We spoke with the owner before we decided to book and they were nice enough to let us bring both our dogs.
Thank you so much Jeff! My dogs are my fur kids and they go where ever I go! The beds were super comfy and the wifi was great. Back yard includes a swing and firepit. Only thing I could have wished for is a wee bit more lighting for the back yard. It's a very short drive to the beach and the town of Saint Mary's is a lovely historical place. I give Buoy-O-Buoy a full 5 stars!!!

This home is just perfect for a week-long get away. It is very nicely decorated and spotlessly clean. The owner was so helpful in recommending eating establishments and things to do in the area. My only suggestion would be to have some outside lighting in the backyard to make it easier to see the dogs when they need to go out after dark. Definitely 5-stars!!!!

My family and I had a wonderful stay at Buoy o’ Buoy! Jeff and Su are amazing hosts who have put a lot of thought into making this property feel like home. We were out for much of our 3 day stay, but I actually wish we had more down time to just hang at the house. The biggest pro for me was cleanliness. Being a bit of a germaphobe, I was really happy with how clean the entire house was. The location is very convenient, only a couple minutes from the downtown area of St. Marys, and about a 5-10 minute drive to grocery stores. We particularly enjoyed Spouse’s bakery which is only a minute up the road. Jeff and Su were great about checking in to make sure we had everything we needed. We really felt comfortable at the house and would highly recommend staying here to anyone!

The listing was accurate and communication with the owners was great. The place was very clean, welcoming and perfect for what we were looking for with dogs and children. We found the backyard to be pretty large and we loved the fence, grill and fire pit. The inside of the house was comfortable and well maintained. The only drawback we experienced was that the outdoor trash cans (one in back yard & the one you take to the curb) were both full when we arrived. I'm sure it was just missed the week before, so not a big deal. The kitchen has just the basics, but everything in the house worked well. We had a great stay and would highly recommend this clean, nice and affordable place to stay to anyone. We give the owners our thanks and we will definitely reach out if we come to St. Mary's again.

We had a wonderful and relaxing getaway. The house was very clean and had everything that we needed. This was a wonderful home for our weekend trip. We had a wedding in Amelia Island and it was nice to have this beautiful home for the price and have more space even though the drive there was about 35-40 minutes. It was a very cute town and within 10-15 minutes of shops and eating places. It was nice to be in a quiet neighborhood and to have the space in the backyard. The owners were so helpful and I appreciated how quick the were to respond. The kitchen had everything and more that we needed to cook too. The only improvement would be to remove the random camper in the back yard. There was also a huge storage area that was locked and probably used to be for a pet, which wasn't a big deal. Besides that the pictures matched exactly and we got what we expected. I would love to stay here again in the future.

We booked to visit family in Kingsland. The property was clean, comfortable and cozy for my family. We all felt at home and everyone agreed we will stay again our next trip! I had a grocery order ready at the local Walmart when we landed and the property’s kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed. St. Mary’s was lovely and we were a short drive away from beautiful beaches. Highly recommend!

What a wonderful visit. Well set up home and convenient for several day trips. Cumberland Island was great. You can take in as much hiking, camping or history as you want. Amilia Island Shopping. Okefenokee swamp adventures, birthplace of the shrimping industry with tasty seafood. Need I say more.

I couldn't hope for a better place for relaxing. Five minutes from the water front, which has a play ground for children, or you can walk around if you enjoy the scenery of docks and boardwalks, or just sit and enjoy the breeze while you watch the water. If you like to prepare your food in a kitchen like we do, the kitchen has everything you need to cook, with publix, winndixxe, and walmart nearby to acquire food. The bedding was comfortable, the shower seemed to have endless hot water, which both are important to my wife and I. Worth a stay if you want a break from your busy life for a few days or find yourself needing somewhere to stay in the area.

Comfortable, cosy, very clean. Host was very attentive to details. St. Mary's historic area by the river has plaques that provide the history of the area back to 1700s. Nice parks, nearby islands are interesting to visit, Jekyll and St. Simon islands are nice day trips, as well as Savannah. Always nice to come back here after a busy day.

We have numerous stays with VRBO and this was a great stay. The residence is so cute and nicely done. The area is alot of quiet time and after a few days head over to Fernandina Beach area to see the ocean then back to paradise.
