Located in St Marys, this charming house for £204 per night is a fantastic choice for your next trip. Nestled on the Borell Creek just off the St. Marys River, this home offers magnificent sunrise waterfront views. From the shady back porch you can watch manatees, otters, alligators, countless birds and even a historic steam train. The dock offers a great place to launch kayaks to explore the marsh up close or keep a small boat (up to 20 ft). Fernandina Beach, the ICW and Cumberland Island are all a short boat ride away. The interior is well equipped with a sizable modern kitchen, a generous living area. The Master bedroom features panoramic views of the river and lovely ensuite bath. The home also has 2 additional bedrooms, a bathroom, office and dining room. Local attractions: - 5 minutes from the Cumberland Island ferry and downtown St. Marys. - Easy day trips to Fernandina beach, Okefenokee Swamp Park, Jekyll Island, Saint Simons Island, Jacksonville, St. Augustine and Savannah. - Great local seafood! This was a beautiful house to stay in on the Lowcountry marsh of coastal Geogia. It is a great location to go out and explore the barrier islands of Georgia and Florida. The owner, Carol, was so helpful and had great communications with us to answer any questions we may have had before and during our stay.

Everything was as described by host. Exceeded our expectations. My niece and I travel each fall for a photography trip. Carol, our host, met and even helped with unloading! The home was so comfortable and inviting. So many things were provided, far beyond many vacation rentals. The screened in porch was our favorite spot, both early morning and evenings.
Location is great, close to Cumberland Island, Okefeenokee Park, Amelia Island, Jekyll Island (the Driftwood Beach there is amazing to see, a don't miss spot!) Overall, if we could give it 10 stars we would.

We were very comfortable in this home and there was plenty of room. The kitchen was well stocked and the home was very clean. We enjoyed fishing from the dock and launching our kayaks right in the backyard. Thanks again.

...or simply hanging out at the house and enjoying the water view! The house and marsh are beautiful and exactly as pictured in the listing. We used two of three comfortable bedrooms and both bathrooms, but never the dining room or den since there were only two of us, and we spent our eat-in meals and as much time as possible on the screened porch. With the ceiling fans, it was comfortable on the porch and shaded backyard even in August. The marsh was gorgeous in every kind of weather we experienced over the week.
We picked this location for access to the Cumberland Island Ferry, which was just five minutes away, with easy parking. We enjoyed exploring St. Mary's near the ferry, as well as two trips to Cumberland Island, one on foot and one with a tour. We also visited Amelia Island/Ft. Clinch, Jeckyll Island historic district and Driftwood Beach, St. Simons and Sea Island, as well as the Victorian historic district of Brunswick -- all are 30-50 minutes from St. Mary's.
Carol and Brittany were both wonderful: responsive and flexible, as well. We SO appreciate you both! Many thanks for a wonderful stay and many fun memories!

The most peaceful trip!!
Quiet, beautiful stay at this gem of a property. We enjoyed most of our time fishing off the dock. Carol was one of the best hosts I've ever experienced with this website. I would definitely stay again as well as recommend it to others looking to stay in the area

My only curiosity was about all the cameras (assuming) protecting the place. Cameras everywhere outside! Kind of left me a little paranoid….
Other than that, this is one great place to stay.
PS - I do t have issues with the cameras and I don’t blame them. Just noticed the sheer numbers ;-)

Quiet with A View
The property was exactly as presented online. The home was clean.The vibe was peaceful and small town. We were close to the ferry dock for Cumberland Island, which was the main reason we came to town.

Lovely home right on the water
Lovely home in a quiet and safe neighborhood, right on the water! Pictures and description of home online are accurate. Carol met us at her home and went over a few items about the home and host expectations. She is a lovely lady that is very kind and her hospitality was exceptional. We rented a canoe from her for two days but ended up not using it as we were so busy exploring that by the time we got back to the home we were too tired. The kitchen is equipped with everything you'll need from pots, pans, paper plates, real china to use, cooking utensils and those little things you never want to bring with you or buy once you arrive. Things like condiments, oils, coffee, tea, sugar, splenda and creamer! My favorite place was the screened in back porch. Lovely view of the water (marsh side) where I watched sunrise, sunset and wildlife. The porch has ceiling fans which were helpful to help fight that Georgia summer humidity. My husband spent hours on the dock fishing and just enjoying the views. Highly recommend booking through Carol. You will not be disappointed!
