Located in Valletta, this charming condo for £158 per night is a great option for your next break. A beautifully furnished home has a street-level entrance in a quiet pedestrian alley and only a stone's throw away from the majestic bastions with a view of Sliema across Marsamxett harbour. The city centre, restaurants, museums, all the nightlife as well as the ferry to Sliema are all only 3 - 5 minutes walk away. Stay here to time-travel back almost 500 years to when Valletta was built, whilst still enjoying all the amenities you might need and want whilst vacationing in Malta! Only recently renovated, this space is perfectly located in a quiet alley tucked away within the side streets of Valletta, giving you the perfect ambience for a peaceful getaway, whilst still within easy walking distance to everything you might want to enjoy throughout your stay. Aptly named the Gunpost Suites, because of its strategic location in the capital, this holiday home was originally built by the British forces during World War II, as a base to watch over the harbour. Upon entering the space from the street level entrance, there is a short flight of twelve stairs, the fully equipped kitchen and living area with a double sofa bed. The kitchen also features a little balcony overlooking the alley. The spacious, bright and airy bedroom with an en-suite bathroom is down the corridor. St Michael Street, or Triq San Mikiel as it is known in Maltese, is situated between the Valletta ring road and West Street. Valletta is Malta's only planned city, with all its street in a grid formation, so it will be very easy to find your way around the city without much thought. West Street is just 4 roads parallel to Strait Street, home to a bustling Valletta nightlife and some of Malta's best cocktail and whisky bars. One more street towards the centre is Republic Street, the longest street in the capital stretching all the way from City Gate to Fort St Elmo. In Republic Street, you will find plenty of eateries and shops, but also the majestic Grandmasters Palace (top of your list to visit) as well as Malta's parliament house just after City Gate. I will include a number of my favourite places in the guide book.

We really enjoyed our stay in this property. The Unit was well set up. It was obvious that a lot of thought had gone into deciding what was needed to make the unit work well from the perspective of an actual user. (No clutter of knick knacks just to make the place look "homey" like many rentals.) Andy met us at arrival and spent some time getting us acquainted by providing much information and a map. The unit was clean, quiet and comfortable yet on an alleyway just metres from the water and a hundred metres from the action. Thanks Andy.

Malta is fantastic and Andrea is a wonderful host. There are a few stairs to reach the flat but pretty easy. It was well-equipped with everything we needed, clean, tidy, comfortable with very fast W-Fi. Thanks again for a great stay

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our time at Andy's apartment. It was everything we needed -- great location, clean, well-equipped and just the right size for 2. Our host was stellar. He answered all my questions quickly before we arrived (as well as providing a welcome book) and followed up by doing the same when we were there. He added extras that made our stay even more than we expected -- water, extra towels, adding coffee and expresso cups to the kitchen, and other things we requested too. He even made a special trip to the apartment to explain how to operate the washer and oven light/fan. His restaurant recommendations were spot on, and his tip for Cool (an Uber-esque ride service) was really helpful and saved us money. I can't recommend Andy and his property highly enough.

Amazing property. It’s Valletta, so needless to say, walking distance to everything. The property is impeccable. Clean, comfortable, welcoming … best property we stayed at during our stay in Malta. Well “stocked” … soap, cleaning products, cofffe, cookies, clean towels !!!! Self check-in and self check-out which makes life so much easier. Our host, Andrea, was amazing throughout our stay. He was available and always offered to assist us. We’re pretty much no maintenance, but it was comforting to know Andrea was there to help if need be. Would stay here again without hesitation. 10/10
