Very comfortable and spacious room. Friendly staff

The room itself was great. Comfortable beds, clean, well-appointed bathroom, TV, safe, breakfast, etc. Literally right above the Starbucks store. The one problem we had was that we were originally assigned a room that was being used by another guest. We walked right in. The issue was dealt with fairly swiftly. The other problem was the impossible hunt for overnight parking. This is NOT the hotel's issue. Be warned, in Malta, yellow spaces are a for residents, blue spaces can be parked in from 7 am to 7 pm, green spaces are a DO NOT PARK HERE space. That leaves white. Good luck!!!

Location, location location. Topped up with an attentive helpful staff. Very nice Starbucks supplied breakfast delivered to the door.
The perfect spot for a city break.

Location was at the heart of the city and staff were very friendly! Had Starbucks breakfast everyday!

Overall our experience was good. The location is great - 5 minutes from the bus station. Close to restaurants etc. The room was comfortable and clean and we had a lovely stay. There was a mini fridge, tea and coffee facilities and toiletries were supplied.
There were a few things that we found strange but if we'd read other reviews we would have known.
It's not easy to find. You get to the rooms by a lift at the back of a Starbucks. The desk was unmanned and the code for the lift but it didn't work. When we found a member of staff, this was sorted very quickly and he couldn't have been more helpful.
Our room didn't have an outside window. The only natural light came through a window that looked out onto an internal shaft which must have had a window at the top - not ideal but it was okay.
The hotel doesn't have a lounge or dining room.
You order breakfast using a card you hang on the door and a tray is delivered to your room. The breakfast is provided by the Starbucks store below and so the choice of items is limited by what they stock. I also assume that sometimes they run out because there were substitutions on a couple of occasions. The food was fresh and we found that there was enough for us to have breakfast and take the rest out for lunch.
If you are looking for a base in the centre of Valletta with somewhere clean and comfortable to sleep and are not bothered about the extra amenities that some hotels offer it's a not a bad choice.

Centrally located. Close to all the sights and the ferries. Don't be put off by the hotel being in a Starbucks. Staff on site and helpful. Clean nice, comfy rooms.

Very friendly service, modern hotel, good location directly in the hot spot of Valetta, window had no street view, which was ok for me- because therefor it was quiet, it was very hot outside, but the room was always fresh and cool, rich and good breakfast brought to the room- overall: I enjoyed my stay

Property is cheap and everything is new. Rooms are a generous size and nicely fitted out. But the elevators, which seem to be used by staff for all sorts of activities along with the Starbucks team mean sometimes we were waiting for up to five minutes which is infuriating. Also the beds are ‘super firm’ which made for an uncomfortable few nights sleep.

The hotel is located in the centre of the city thus in a strategic position. There’s no permanent reception but you can easily reach the staff by WhatsApp. The breakfast is done via the Starbucks, that is basically the entrance of the hotel, and you can have it directly in the room (fantastic service!). The staff is very friendly and the cleaning service was good.

The responsiveness of the staff is outstanding! The place itself is a gem: located in the heart of Valletta, it's not noisy, very convenient. It was very nice to receive breakfast at the time of my choice. The room I booked was spacious and simply incredible with it's cleanliness and easiness to use. Highly recommended!

This boutique hotel is in a great location & surprisingly, very quiet. The room was well equipped & very clean. Isis & Rintu couldn’t have been more welcoming & helpful.
The breakfast at the Starbucks Reserve downstairs had a great selection to choose from.
Would highly recommend this boutique hotel for an enjoyable & relaxing stay.

Amazing location. New boutique hotel. WARNING; check-in can be tricky. Instructions do not explain the elevator issue. Just walk into the STARBUCKS Reserve, grab a Proseco and tell them to contact the Hotel. Staff (Isis) will come down and explain the codes for main door, elevator and room. Its Boutique because you get nice room, biggest TV, fridge, bathrobes, slippers, forgot your toothbrush? No problem, you bet two with toothpaste, big shower for two, small desk and amazing climate control....best part; you are in VALLETTA....check out the 5 euro English breakfast next door, grab hop on hop off bus and explore....

It’s a bit of a weird set up with the hotel being above a Starbucks, but the location is right in the centre of it all and is very convenient. The staff are lovely and listen and ready to assist with any issues and go that extra mile.

One of the worst services I've ever met.Or to put it right; NO SERVICE at all!!
Room was extremely noisy (1. noise coming from Starbucks' store on the ground floor/chairs being dragged till late at night and very early in the morning - customers and cleaning duties, 2. noise coming from the other tenants coming in late at night 3. noise coming even from the street 4. no noise insulation in the room).
Had trouble sleeping both nights I've stayed there.
Breakfast at Starbucks was a bad joke (cookies smelling really bad, everything was cold, no real breakfast - pre-made things that you can get in Starbucks). I've already paid for the breakfast and it was a real steal.
As was the price for this room. +160 EUR for a room without windows and, of course, no view.
The 1st photo for the rooms is entirely deceiving.
Only comfort was the bed which was, relatively, OK.

I arrived after 8pm last Friday, the hotel manager was so nice and so welcoming. Thank you for your professionalism and the welcome drinks. Mellor Boutique Hotel is definitely the best hotel in the beautiful island of Malta.

While the room was generally comfortable, my small window overlooked the atrium in the Starbucks, and there was noise or music - not disruptive, but noticeable - at pretty much all times. This hotel is a collection of rooms on top of a Starbucks with only a kiosk for the hotel, so if you are looking for a place with staff who are on hand to answer questions, this is not it. That was a little strange for me as a solo traveler. Also, there is a sign in the bathroom saying the water is not drinkable, which is strange given that the water is safe to drink in Malta, and there was only one free bottle of water provided in the room. The location is great, but overall I do not think I would stay again.

The hotel is in downtown, on the street of shopping, near the monuments and the bus terminal.
There is no concierge, and when we arrived there, I had an issue with the QR code to acquire the key. Fortunately, the staff of Starbucks helped us solve it quickly.
The room was really nice, clean, and cozy.

The property was difficult to find and would benefit from proper instructions on where it is for taxi drivers. Considering it is a 5 minute walk from the main taxi rank and we had a walk of 20 minutes because our driver couldn't find the property, this was a seriously bad start to our stay.
Good thing we saw the flag above Starbucks entrance!
Also, our email did not have the 2D barcode on it making booking in at the kiosk impossible. Well done by the Starbucks staff!

I spend around 300 nights a year in hotels and this stay wins the distinction of the worst stay in 5 years!
The room was so noisy from the street due to zero soundproofing that sleep was impossible, I arrived to a room with no toilet paper and a half-eaten salad left in the fridge, the bathroom leaked water everywhere due to terrible design.
The hotel is also above a starbucks and due to the company who runs both trying to save costs, the hotel has no front desk or staff dedicated to the hotel just starbucks staff who are expected to run the hotel on top of their day job of running an extremely busy starbucks...meaning I couldn't get into my room when I arrived.
After not sleeping for 3 nights and then finally moving to a new room...my new room was plagued with more building flaws (leaking bathroom again...lights in wardrobe that wouldn't go off so leaked into room...a bright green emergency light)...and then the cherry on the cake: bed bugs.
I finally gave up and checked out early, which meant I had to pay twice for accomodation but at that point I didn't care anymore...I just wanted to leave this place.
I feel this hotel is being operated by someone who is trying to cut costs and save money at every opportunity….meaning there is zero service….zero quality…and just headache after headache. I also think they have opened this hotel before it was ready to try to capitalise on the sudden rise of tourists.
Avoid this hotel at all costs.
