Newly built with logs fresh from British Columbia and perfectly secluded, this spacious retreat will be a great place to call home for your next ski adventure or relaxing getaway from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Each morning can be spent sipping a warm cup of coffee on the gorgeous deck looking out to the greenery of the surrounding Maine landscape. Come summer, the gas grill can be just the ticket for a cookout in the fresh air as the sun dips towards the horizon. After a full day of adventure, the chef of the group can whip up anything from a quick snack to a gourmet meal in the full kitchen, and the rest of the gang can head downstairs for a movie night in the media room. Plus, a bit of alone time in front of the fireplace is always a good way to settle down. Split into three levels, everyone will have their own space to call home. The first level boasts the media room, a full bathroom, and a bedroom with a twin-over-twin bunk bed, a trundle twin, and a king bed. The main floor is home to the living area, kitchen, dining area, a full bath, and another bedroom with a queen bed. Head upstairs and you will find the last two bedrooms containing a queen bed and a crib in one, and a full bed in the other. These two bedrooms share a full bath with a walk-in shower. WHAT’S NEARBY Sitting just one-and-a-half miles south of Sunday River Resort, a full day of skiing will be mere minutes from your front door. While in the area, guests will have many options for grabbing a bite to eat or maybe even stopping into Matterhorn Ski Bar on the way home from a day on the mountain. Come summer, hiking to Screw Auger Falls and Mount Will can be a perfect way to get outside and soak up the scenery. Plus, groceries and more restaurant options can be found less than a mile south. THINGS TO KNOW Parking notes: There is free parking available for 4 vehicles. Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit. More information can be downloaded from the "Rental Agreement" on the checkout page. Due to local laws or HOA requirements, guests must be at least 25 years of age to book. Guests under 25 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian for the duration of the reservation.

This is a great rental house. Amazing location VERY close to the mountain and almost right next door to the famous Matterhorn Ski Bar. The house next door is kind of close - but the only reason I mention it is that we didnt even notice it at all, you have to really look for it to actually see it - its a complete non issue. I would rent it again without hesitation.

Perfect for multiple families as the place splits up pretty good. Only complaint is that the downstairs king/ bunk make it hard to utlilize downstairs area/ hot tub if you have kids sleeping downstairs like we did !

Beautiful, well-maintained home! We had a wonderful time enjoying the fall foliage. The home was sparkling clean when we arrived! You could tell the local team was detail oriented and cleaned with care! The hot tub felt brand new! The Local Manager was also very helpful - highly recommend and will definitely be back here to visit!!

The place is beautiful! Unique cedar beams and poles. All you expect from a newly constructed home. Very clean and spacious for a big family except that it was close to a busy street and we could hear the cars. The hot tub was a plus. Lots of board games. Clean linens. Some minor issues, like I wish there were more blankets for colder nights. or hangers in closets. Also, they didn't empty the trash bin before we got there so we didn't have enough space for ours. Overall, I would go there again and would highly recommend it.

First of all, our family really enjoyed this home and the location was great! (The neighbor is very close, but we were lucky that the group renting that home was very considerate and quiet). The first day we were there, we were out on the deck and my wife was stung by a hornet. I found the large nest underneath the deck where she was sitting. I tried calling the property manager with the information left inside the house, but was not able to get ahold of her and did not hear back from her after I left a message. I ended up running out to a local store and grabbed some Raid for wasps and took care of the problem myself. It is just not something I should have been expected to do and not ever hearing back from the property manager was very disappointing. Also the house was very clean besides one area in the lower level that had some trash left on the floor from the previous renters.

Beautiful home. Only complaint was there was no clothes hangers or iron. You may want to add those for future renters. It is incredibly spacious, with clean comfy beds, lots of games and a well stocked kitchen.
