About this house rental
Nestled in West Melbourne, this attractive house for £112 per night is a great option for your next break. This well appointed home is located in a clean, well kept , safe neighborhood, and is nestled by a small duck pond. At night the pond's lighted fountain makes a splashing sound which makes the screened back porch a place of peace, tranquility, and great for meditation or that celebration cigar. Early in the morning, you will see the ducks, cranes, and several other birds species that make for fun and very interesting viewing. There is a community pool, park, walking trails, and a local library for the long-term guests to use. A regional shopping mall, and virtually every restaurant and store you can imagine are only 10 minutes, or less, away. Indialantic Beach is 8 miles from the house and other beaches just minutes further away. Kennedy Space Center is 30 minutes from the house and the Disney parks are 60 minutes away. The home was recently remodeled, is sparkling clean, freshly painted, and Covid-19 disinfected between each guest. You will feel safe and comfortable in this well appointed home with leather, reclining couch and love seat for relaxing while watching cable TV in the living room and wi-fi can be used thought the house. The kitchen is well appointed and there is an indoor laundry room with a full-sized washer and dryer on the premises for you to use, and we provide wash detergent and fabric softener. There is a Weber Grill on the spacious back porch for Bar-B-Q'ing with gas that is included.

This honestly was my first time going the VRBO-type route and it did not disappoint. The location was great for our needs as several restaurants, grocery stores and convenience stores were nearby. It was easy to get on I-95 for our daily trips to Space Coast Stadium for my son's USSSA All-American Games tournament. Most everything we would need for the stay was provided which was a nice bonus (towels, stocked kitchen, washer and dryer, etc...). If you are needing a comfortable, safe place to stay on the Space Coast, this is it!

This property is as advertised and lovely. The home is spacious, clean, and well stocked…lots of towels, sheets, paper products, pots and pans, and dishes, and some basic cooking ingredients. We loved the lanai overlooking the pond and were visited regularly by birds and turtles. We will definitely return.

The moment we arrived , we were impressed by the cleanliness and the attention to detail. The kitchen was well-stocked and the beds were incredible.
It was "home" to us for the entire month, conveniently located close to kids and grandkids.
We plan to return next year, perhaps for two months.

Very pleasant and convenient

Pros:
The location of the house was perfect for our needs with elderly parents whom we were visiting located just minutes away. The kitchen was WELL equipped! We stayed a week, so, being able to cook meals was a huge money saver and having all the pots, pans, cooking and eating utensils, plates, glasses...I mean EVERYTHING... available was magnificent! The furniture in the living room was comfortable with both couches having recliners! AHHHH!!! The master bed was comfy. It's a Sleep Number bed, so, there is a "crack" down the middle which didn't bother us, but, just be aware. Access to the screened porch was very handy from both the master bedroom and the living room. The TV's in the family room and master bedroom had DirectTV with many channels to chose from. (I don't think the other 2 bedrooms had any TV's in them.) The porch furniture was cushioned chairs that resisted the rain water that would splash in some times when it rained in the afternoons and the view of the pond with lighted fountain was super nice. Birds and ducks that visited the pond every day were an extra pleasantry! The Weber gas grill is medium sized and identical to ours at home which made it very easy to use. The laundry room, kitchen and bathrooms all had soaps and the linens were plentiful! The clothes washer and dryer appeared to be recent purchases and were very efficient and did a great job!
Cons:
There was no "house rules document" to help make sure you did things right. The property tap water cannot be consumed, so, you have to buy your own drinking water. The fridge had no water dispenser and no water filter. There is an ice maker which didn't make much sense - if you can't drink the water why would you use the ice? The refrigerator was adequate. The pressure in the masterbath shower was a little lacking, but, perhaps that was to help preserve water. Not a deal breaker at all, just be aware. There is no ceiling fan on the porch, so, we were glad we brought our large outdoor fan. The Florida heat can be a bit more oppressive if you are closed in under a roof with no breeze blowing. Had to put away the dishes left in the dishwasher that was left by the people before our arrival. I texted the owner to let him know because I assumed the cleaning people should have put them away. I didn't know if they were clean or not.
So many positives!! We will be staying here again the next time we come down to visit our parents and I RECOMMEND y'all do the same!

The house was in a great location not far from stores. Very nice and clean, my daughter was there to play in the softball World Series the house was only 15 mins from the Coastal space stadium,. Felt right at home, I will be renting again next year if available.

Clean! Comfortable! Relaxing! Just like home!
This home was our best VRBO experience to date. The place was clean, comfortable, has a great layout, modern and well appointed. It was bigger than expected and had everything you need in a home away from home. And I have to mention the sound. The back was so tranquil, with the sounds from the fountain, it was a great way to unwind at the end of the day before jumping into the comfortable beds. My parents walked around the neighborhood once and said it was also safe, clean and peaceful. Also I reached out to the owner for a favor and he was quick to respond and extremely friendly and helpful. I highly recommend this place.

Great:

- Comfortable beds
- Lovely bird pond with fountain. We saw herons (2+ types), egrets, limpkins, storks, ducks, more. Fountain sounds so relaxing.
- Large screened porch was so pleasant; eat while watching birds and fountain
- Very well stocked kitchen. Many sizes & types of knives, mixing bowls, spices. Ample cooking utensils, napkins, glasses, plates, bowls, & silverware that actually match. A blender and electric mixer, and Roger even got us a food processor to make comfort food for Dad after a fall. Not too many pots, but enough if you don’t cook a lot.
- Comfortable seating in living room (reclining sofas), dining room, and porch. Desk chair didn’t work for me, so I swapped it with one of the 4 “extra” chairs near the entrance.
- Pictures show 4 chairs in the dining room, but 2 more matching chairs are near the entrance, and table easily seats 6
- Wifi worked great, even for Zoom meetings with clients
- Spacious
- Furniture matched, better quality than most rentals
- Ample spare sheets, towels, TP, etc.
- Appliances worked well: microwave, dishwasher, washer/dryer, etc.
- Again: the pond, fountain, and birds were so relaxing.
Not as great:
- Shower door in master bathroom didn’t close well, and water got onto ledge and floor. Used spare towel to catch and dry this water.
- Sleep number bed controller was reverse from usual
- In 10 days we found 2 tiny lizards and 1 large bug in the house, then stopped leaving open door to screened porch while setting up for dinner. But hey, this is Florida.
- A bathroom window had been left unlatched, and there were some small dead bugs on windowsill and in bathtub. I told the host, so it may not happen again.
About the sleep number bed for the unfamiliar:
- 1 controller controls both sides; press R or L to choose side before setting number
- Be in your sleep position when you adjust the bed, with only you on that side of bed. The amount of air put in varies with weight of person sleeping.
- In general, side sleepers need softer beds (lower numbers), stomach sleepers need harder beds (higher numbers), with back-sleepers in between.
All in all, staying here was lovely, and we would definitely do it again.

This was our 1st time renting an Air B&B. Our host went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. The house was in a great location, a very quiet neighborhood with many stores and restaurants around. I would definitely rent this house again!!

The pictures to this house do not do it any justice but than it would be hard to capture the sounds from the fountain and the beauty of the pond. The bed we slept in was very comfortable and had a large flat screen tv. There were numerous towels, sheets, pillows, and blankets plus the master bedroom has a huge walk-in closet. The kitchen had every applicance you would need and was very clean. Roger went above and beyond and we felt very special which we most certainly appreciated it. My husband and I spent the majority of our time in the screened porch listening to the fountain (which is lit at night) The furniture there was conducive to both meals and games. We loved the community so much that we went to an open house for a property that was for sale. The community pool was clean and there were more then enough chairs for people to relax in the sun. If this house is available in the future we would not hesitate to rent it again. Roger, thank you for everything!!!

Clean house, safe neighborhood, responsive host
I was visiting family in W. Melbourne and rented this home for a week for myself and two other adults. The house was very clean and had everything we needed for a week, and the owner was very responsive.
The beds were comfortable, and the master bedroom even has a sleep number bed. There are ceiling fans in all three bedrooms. I was traveling with my 88-year-old mother, so accessibility was important. It's a one-level home, which was a must because she can't handle stairs, there is a walk-in shower in the master bathroom, which was important for her. The bed is the master bedroom was much too high for her, but she was very comfortable sleeping in one of the secondary bedrooms and said the bed was comfortable (and she is picky when it comes mattresses!).
I had to work a few days while I was there, and the WiFi was fast and reliable (didn't lose connection once). I walked around the neighborhood in the evenings and felt very safe doing so alone. It's a nice, family-friendly neighborhood that is convenient to shopping, restaurants, and a short drive to the beach. The weather was in the 60s when we were there, so we didn't get to use the community pool, but it looked very nice.
I would stay here again and recommend it to others.

The house is about 12-15 min. from the beach and very close to Sam's Club, Walmart Supercenter, Publix, & Aldi. This is an excellent, safe area to stay. Melbourn is about 1 hr. 15 min. south of Daytona Beach and 20 min. south of Cocoa Beach. The area is less touristy and less crowded. We loved that. We would definitely like to return to the area and would choose this property again.

This was our first time using any type of Vrbo property. Everything was super clean and as we expected. Quiet neighborhood was near family that we visited and convenient to stores and downtown Melbourne. Lake in the back with aerator was nice. We would definitely go back.

Everything we needed and more! We were in town for 9 nights to visit family and couldn’t have asked for a better experience! Comfortable beds, plenty of towels, linens, soaps, and extras (Coffee and snacks awaited us when we arrived!) The community pool was enjoyed by all and the pond adjacent to the house was perfect! My son even caught a decent size talapia & bass (thrown back, of course!) We will definitely be back! Thank you!!
