About this house rental
The Sleepy Canoe is a great getaway located right on the Rogue River with fabulous views. This is a perfect location is half way between Ashland and Grants Pass, Oregon on the Rogue River, and only 15 minutes from the Medford Airport. Enjoy fishing, cycling, wine tasting and rafting the best rapids on the Rogue River. Sleeps and feeds 14 people and has a private fishing area at the bottom of the trail below the house. Enjoy this special one-of-a-kind escape. The house is brand new and ready for you! No parties w COVID-19 regs. Any more than 4 guests, we charge 30 dollars each per night due to extra bed usage and amenities used. No cats allowed.

We had a nice stay on our vacation with friends. The house was as described. Just wish the hot tub area was a little more private. Other than that it was perfect

Ladies long weekend - it was good overall. We had our own space and the view of the river was relaxing. The patio furniture was nice for our early morning coffee and evening meal. There is common yard space with the other unit which can impact your stay depending on who is staying there. But overall a great place to stay.

We rented this house and the one next door for a company retreat. The homes were both bright and clean and in excellent condition with lots of fun amenities indoors and outdoors. Communication with the owner and maintenance agent was prompt and helpful. The neighborhood was great. The river and views were beautiful. We didn't find the freeway volume to be a problem at all (we could hear it, but it wasn't loud or distracting). We loved that the living room/kitchen areas had LOTS of windows looking over the river. The top queen bunks weren't ideal for adults, but would be a great place for kids to sleep. The beds were clean and extra comfortable (we didn't use the pullouts or murphy beds). The hosts have obviously had some experience and done their research on creating a fantastic getaway! We would definitely stay here again!

Hidden away in Gold Hill, this was such a fun house for our family to enjoy for a few days. The garage play room/TV area was perfect for the kids and the large bunk beds worked well. The view is beautiful and the hot tub was very clean and so nice to hang out in under the stars! The bidets in the bathroom were a hit, very nice! Thanks for the food and kid friendly activity ideas, we enjoyed everything we tried. We hope to come back and enjoy this gem in the summer, the matching house next door would be great for larger groups to be together. Thank you!!

We had a great stay. Everything was very clean and well stocked. We used the hot tub several times and enjoyed it. We would definitely recommend.

Absolutely great home right on the river. We were able to fish and sit in the hot tub, ride bikes and just enjoy the view. Very spacious living quarters, plenty of bed options and the game room was great!

This home was perfect for a family with younger children. There was not a lot of things to get into. The home was welcoming but had a simplicity to it that was perfect for kids. The game room was great and the heater in the room kept it nice since it was in the garage. It was comfortable and great for the kiddos. The river ran through the back and was peaceful while enjoying the hot tub. You will definitely need to take all the necessity like dishwasher detergent, toilet paper, paper towels, and trash bags with you. We could not run the dishwasher until we bought some. Great place to stay and we would go back and stay again.

The property was well maintained, neat and clean. It has a lovely view of the Rogue River, with plenty of places to sit and relax. The property owner was super easy to communicate.
We all said we would definitely stay here again if we came out to this part of the country.

We enjoyed the house and had a lovely time - HOWEVER, the fridge and freezer were very dirty!!! We were left one dishwasher pod for the entire stay and very little toliet paper - we had to purchase both! We had hoped to enjoy the decks and hottub but there were workmen there half of the time of our stay, pounding boards and shoveling rock which made it most uncomfortable for us to go outside!! We had to wipe out all drawers, etc before we could use - overall, the cleaning staff was not on top of their game!!! We have stayed in many houses in our 16 years of doing this and we try to not complain - just want to bring these things to your attention!

Sleepy Canoe was a wonderful place to stay. Just my husband and myself with our pups traveling from Olympia WA to Lake Tahoe to visit our kids. Because it was December when we visited the house we didn't have time to enjoy the hot-tub or river. One thing we didn't like was that when we were out on the deck we could hear the I-5 Freeway. It was really loud. When the windows and sliding door were closed we didn't hear the freeway. We would stay here again as Sleep Canoe was a cozy place. We rcommend it.
