Come enjoy the beauty of Badin Lake and stay in this lakefront cottage! The house has 2 bedrooms, 1 bath and an open kitchen/dining/living space. One bedroom has a queen size bed and the second bedroom has bunk beds with a full size mattress on the bottom, twin on top and a twin trundle. Kitchen/Dining area seats six and there is a table for 6 outside as well. The couch pulls out and makes a comfortable spot to watch movies once the sun goes down and it’s time to wind down. The house is nice, but the view outside is one of the best. Located in a cove, you have the safety of swimming and playing right off the dock without boats speeding by. The dock is covered and has a double jet ski dock attached. Sit on the patio, enjoy the view of the lake, and watch the sunset. You will not be disappointed with the view. There is also a lot to do and see in surrounding areas. This lakefront cottage is clean, expertly decorated, and perfect for a weekend stay for a couples getaway. Check in was super easy, and the hosts were communicative and clear. My husband and I enjoyed the quiet neighborhood. We launched our boat at the landing in the next cove and kept it docked during our stay. Overall, a wonderful trip and I would absolutely recommend and stay again!

Such a beautiful sunset both nights we stayed and we even caught 2 catfish from the pier! We had a great time!

Great little house.
Very clean. Great for a vacation, getaway. Could not figure out how air conditioner worked. The grill worked perfectly. The Kayak were nice to use. Thank you so much for sharing your home

I absolutely loved this little home. Super clean, all amenities you need. Love the covered boat slip and dock. Had a duck friend there the whole time. So much wildlife. Beautiful landscaping. I will be back!

Judy’s lake house was perfect for our short stay. We were not there for lake life, but there for Jeep Adventure Academy. After a long day of off roading( house was only eight minutes from our venue), it was nice sitting on the large dock watching the sunset.

Super quiet location (except for the house being built nearby). Very relaxing. Big fish in the lake if you are a fisher. House is small, but has everything you need. We didn't leave for 3 days! Wood was not covered and wet so we were unable to use the fire pit, so might want to get your own wood.

We absolutely loved our stay at this peaceful retreat. As healthcare workers, we needed a quiet spot to unwind in nature and this cozy gem fit the bill perfectly! We so enjoyed watching the beautiful sunsets from the swing on the dock as well as family time and conversation around the firepit. There's a great breakfast spot nearby with a country store across the street and of course plenty of hiking. Thank you again for sharing your lovely place with our family! Our stay at this property was an absolute pleasure! House has all the essentials and then some. It is not super spacious, but its perfectly comfortable as a base for all the available outdoor activities the area has to offer. The outside is just as comfortable with large patio, patio table, gas grill, fire pit with wood provided. Plenty of places to sit and watch the boats go by or watch the sunset across the lake. The parking area is very spacious with room enough for at least 2 pickup trucks with boat or OHV trailers. This is a bring you own boat property with a covered private dock and boat ramp near by. Also available are kayaks with all accessories.
Owners were very responsive to all communications. However we didn't need to ask anything of them because everything we could have possibly needed or wanted was already provided.
We would definitely stay again. In fact we have already booked this property for another stay in the near future.

Perfect for a couple or small family. The house was updated and gorgeous. The owner was great to communicate with and everything went smoothly. I'm so glad they had kayaks and a fire pit because that was a highlight of the trip!

Stayed for only a couple of nights but enjoyed the house. Nice dock on the lake with kayaks, fishing gear etc to enjoy. Late fall and weather was not conducive to enjoying the lake, but nice spending morning with coffee down by the water. Neighbors are extremely close, not a problem for us but something to be aware of if that’s not your thing. The house had everything you need to begin your stay and then some. Very clean and comfortable. Would highly recommend.

We had everything we needed inside this little lakefront cottage and the backyard was paradise. We definitely want to spend more weekends in this place.

We booked this property as we were in town visiting family. This was a perfect place for us. As a family of 5, the cottage was just the right size and there was plenty of space outside for the kids to play. We didn't see a single person near the property except boats passing. Kids used the kayaks and we roasted marshmallows while we enjoyed the gorgeous views and weather. It was immaculately cleaned and beautifully decorated. We will definitely be booking again when we're down for our next visit.

We absolutely loved this place. Everything you could want for a weekend get away. Inside is great if you want to spend time there. Outside is even better, fishing or at the fire pit. Owners were fantastic to deal with as well. We will definitely be back soon!

This property is very cute and was perfect for our weekend getaway! Because of the storm (Ian) we were not able to make as much use of the outside area as we intended but we still had a great time. Absolute beautiful property! Hoping to stay here again soon.

This was our 2022 kids/nieces lake weekend. My kids (19,16) had a great time w their cousins (18,17). I got the kids to take the kayaks out to spot me for a swim to the adjacent cove and back. We also had a great time lounging in the water and playing on the mat. The cottage was very clean, still like new and cozy! We grilled, had s’mores and chilled! Very relaxing weekend and great memories w the kiddos!

Fall on Badin Lake
Fall on Badin Lake is beautiful!! The countryside set the scene for a nice and peaceful Veterans Day weekend. From fishing off the dock and nearby boat ramp to the short trip to NC Zoo, we had a great time. The cabin is cozy and so so cute and we enjoyed a fire every night overlooking the lake. The Cox’s were great hosts with great communication. 10/10 recommend

Nice little lake house
My family and I had a great time. The scenery and views of the lake were beautiful. My girls had a fun time on the water mat and kayaking. The lake house had all the items you need. We were only there for a couple days but wished we could have stayed longer.

Wonderful home and hostess!
I rented this home for a fishing trip to Badin for me and my dad. The house was perfect! Very clean and well stocked. The grill works great, nice shower and need is comfortable. We had a great time and will be returning soon. The view is really nice and the cove is very quiet. You won't regret staying here.

Not to take away from the charm of the house, but the outdoor space was definitely our favorite. All kinds of places to sit around a fire, read a book, or have a cup of coffee while watching the diving ducks splash about. The dock and kayaks were a very nice bonus. Even managed to catch some supper right from the lake! The owners had a very quick response time with any questions we had and the neighbors were extremely friendly. Thanks again to the Cox’s for a great get away.

After a long couple of years of selling a house and building a new one this was a much needed time away for my wife and I. The house was as described and very cozy and quiet. Once we made our initial grocery store run the first evening we never left the property again until time to check out. Not to take away from the charm of the house, but the outdoor space was definitely our favorite. All kinds of places to sit around a fire, read a book, or have a cup of coffee while watching the diving ducks splash about. The dock and kayaks were a very nice bonus. We rented this house just 30 minutes from our home as a last minute getaway and it was perfect. We were able to dock our boat for easy daily access, fish off the dock, play in the quiet cove and teach our children to kayak. 110% will be making this a yearly tradition!
