Mediocre.Felt the host tainted our impression of Sentra.

Bkfast was good.Location a little far from City Centre

The host was not overly helpful.When asked about a tourist attraction (castle) He neglected to tell us it would be closed by the time we got there, while giving us instructions how to get there.

Perfekt, um Sintra zu erobern

Perfekte Lage für alle Entdeckungen in und um Sintra . Parkplatz am Chalet vorhanden. Weiter geht's nur per Bus,Bolt, tuktuk oder zu Fuß. Zur Quinta relogio (15 min zu Fuß- herrlicher verwunschener Garten 3h aufenthalt), Biester gleich nebenan (tolles Interieur). Zum Ort und Nationalpalast 20 min zu Fuß. Dort vom Bahnhof fährt dann z.b. der Bus nach Pena. Gutes Frühstück, nettes Personal. Perfekt für die Erkundungstour für mind. 2 Nächte.

Romantisch huis in een sprookjesachtige, prachtige omgeving dat kan meten aan de schoonheid van Sintra.

Het huis en de omgeving zijn werkelijk prachtig. Heel romantisch en sprookjesachtig; de foto’s doen er geen eer aan. Het personeel was daarnaast erg vriendelijk. Ontbijt beviel ons ook goed, uitgebreid assortiment met veel fruit en gezonde ingrediënten. Nederlandse eigenaar was prettig, wist voordat ik mezelf had geïntroduceerd al hoe ik heette en kon aanbevelingen doen voor restaurants en vervoer.

Onze kamer was klein, maar niet oncomfortabel.

Guesthouse in perfekter Lage

Hübsches Guesthouse in guter Lage. Und nicht zu unterschätzen: es gibt Parkplätze. Bergab ist man schnell in der Altstadt und für den Rückweg kann man den Bus nehmen.Das Zimmer war geräumig und sonnig. Das Frühstück ist gut und lecker. Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt.

Authentieke slaapplaats op een geweldige locatie

Erg stijlvol gebouw op een prachtige locatie. Erg fijn contact met de host gehad en ze deden een stapje extra om een latere checkin mogelijk te maken. Super service! Pluspunten voor de parkeerplekken voor de deur.

Het is een mooi en oud pand maar we hadden niet verwacht dat het zó gehorig zou zijn. Het bed was ook best gammel en kraakte bij iedere beweging. Hierdoor helaas niet zo goed kunnen slapen.

Fabelhaft

Sehr schöne alte Vila mit einer Terrasse und tollem Garten. Sehr freundlicher und hilfsbereiter Empfang. Wir hatten ein großes , schönes und sauberes Doppelzimmer mit Blick zur Burg. Das Zimmer war immer warm um diese Zeit. Das Frühstücksbuffet war wirklich lecker und alles ausreichend vorhanden. Sehr nah an der Altstadt um sie zu Fuß zu besuchen. Parkplatz direkt im Innenhof. Der perfekte Ort um Sintra und seine Sehenswürdigkeiten zu besuchen. :))

Ótimo café da manhã!. Local muito bonito.

Infelizmente o banheiro era fora do quarto, porém privativo. A água do chuveiro não esquentava e com frio de 11°a 12°c, a noite, foi terrível o banho frio..As escadas de acesso ao quarto eram difíceis de subir com malas. Contudo o anfitrião foi muito educado em atender na chegada e partida.

Bonito, pero engañados

Esta semana, se encontraban cerradas las visitas a los monumentos en Sintra por motivos de riesgo de incendio (publicado en la prensa y notificado la hostelería del lugar). En el momento del check-in, nadie nos informó de esto. Es lógico que la estancia en el lugar, se escoge básicamente por la ubicación y cercanía a estos lugares tan impresionantes para visitar, por lo que sobra informar al hostelero de la intención de visitarlos. De todas formas, fue incluso al contrario, nos indicaron que sin ningún problema podríamos acceder a ellos y nos informaron de los medios de transporte disponibles para ello. Cuando transmitimos la queja, los empleados del lugar dijeron que desconocían el cierre de los monumentos, pero el dueño (con el que contactamos vía mensaje por booking) insiste en que se nos informó de la situación en el momento del registro, cuando es mentira. Nos hemos sentido engañados, para aprovecharse de la situación.

we will stay here again but in a room with on suit.

The location was perfect just out of the busy town but only 5 min walk into the center of Sintra old town. On the main route up to Pena Palace. Hase good car park.

My room was listed as having coffee making facilities but this was not so. Also was listed as having own private external bathroom but this was at the end of a corridor past other bedrooms..

Exceptional

Chalet Relogio Guesthouse is charming, rustic, quiet and comfortable, and is close to Sintra's restaurants and sights. From the spacious outdoor deck seating we had views of a castle, and from our room we had large windows overlooking the gardens. Breakfasts were also very good and fresh, and included cheeses, meats, fresh fruit and bread. They also kindly provided us with gluten-free bread. We had a wonderful and restful stay.

Interesting historical home.

There was a family room with a double and twin bed. Parking onsite.

While the location was interesting it is up a hill. Close enough to walk to town but at the end of the day we didn’t feel like walking up hill so took a tuk tuk.

Amazing stay in Sintra

Location - Its the best location to stay in Sintra as its very close to Castle & Palace. Also, its very walkable from the city center Room - The room size is decent but the bathroom is quite small Parking - You can park in the property without any additional costs which is amazing Value for money - 100% Also had nice interactions with the owner and staff so overall it was a nice experience. Will definitely going to stay at the same property during our next visit

Breakfast - It was pretty okay. Could have been better There is no lift in the property so if you have heavy luggage or with elder people, you need to make sure that you get room on the lower floor Also, there is no fan or air conditioner in the room(I think its mentioned in the website while booking, so not a surprise). But keep this in mind while booking as it can get really warm during peak summer.

Good location for a flying visit.

- well located for Sintra and Peña palace - the bed is incredibly comfortable! - the room was large and spacious - there is parking onsite

- there is no air-conditioning. We kept all windows open at night, which was ok — but we got bitten by something. - the breakfast is very basic.

Exceptional

Jerome was simply amazing as a host, our time in Sintra would not have been as enjoyable without his local insight and consideration, not to mention the amazing breakfast spread each morning. I am so glad we chose to stay in this gorgeous chalet, would absolutely stay again.

Great location. Accommodated an early breakfast when we had to check out early.

Very small shower. Creaky stairs. Breakfast could be scheduled at 8 so guests can get to sites earlier.

Cozy look but not so cozy

Free parking inside the gate, the property is nicely decorated, breakfast was good.

Very humid in the room and no heating, we stayed in June on a rainy cold night, so bed sheets felt like they were wet. We did not like the house wine ( cost 10€ and we saw it in the store for 2€) .

Very good

The staff was very friendly and the guesthouse was quiet and very comfortable. Breakfast was very nice and in a very cute tea room. Quick walk to town and on site parking was a plus in Sintra where parking is extremely limited! Could also make the walk to Pena and Moorish castles if a long uphill walk is not out of reach for you. Easy access for transportation to these as well.

The guest house is located on a one-way hill.leading up past the castles, so leaving at any time during the day involves going up and over through the tourist traffic for these areas. This is not a major inconvenience at all, just worth noting.

We loved our stay and wished we had another night there!

The property is in an excellent location. We were able to walk to restaurants, shopping, and some monuments. It was easy to get a tuk-tuk to take us to other monuments that we didn’t want to walk to as well. We loved the comfort of the rooms and could see a castle out of our window. Just so cool for the kids! Jerome, the owner, helped us with everything we needed and was a perfect host. We would definitely stay here again in a heartbeat!

Fun to explore the darling town of Sintra. Wonderful wine bar with great food in Sintra.

Breakfast was good. Very peaceful area and walkable to the town.

The area is very hilly with narrow streets and parking is challenging.

Such a nice place to stay!

We loved this place! Very nice old, cozy house, big apartment with 2 bedrooms. There was also a small fridge in the room. Breakfast was very good! Would definitely stay there again!

Good value for money but has some problems

lovely setting with a great view and woods

the bed was not comfortable, the room was very small, it is an old building which is great but it was in need of a bit of TLC. there was no hot water, so could not shower. the breakfast was alright but canned orange juice in the land of great oranges seemed a shame. we are not fussy guests and for the price we payed it was good value but it felt as if the owner was maybe a little tired of being a hotel owner. I should also say that it is a long walk into town to a restaurant and so steep coming home a taxi for €8-9 was essential. I do not think we would stay there again.

Good short stay in Sintra

Very good continental breakfast. Good range of food. Good location, on the 434 bus route

We chose a room with a separate though private bathroom. Staying again we would choose an ensuite bathroom, otherwise everything fine. The room was on the top floor, so several flights of stairs to navigate; so this room wouldn't suit less mobile people.
